  1. The Ti nspire CAS is my go to calculator. It takes the functionality of the upgraded Ti-84 you have here and takes it to a whole new level. There really isn't a mathematical operation you can't do on it arbitrarily. Hell, you can even put pictures on it from the computer. It's very snappy and I've been getting a few months on a charge on average and this is with using the calculator for several hours a day. Not bad if I do say so myself.
  2. All cases have side panels so I assume you mean windowed?
  3. Might be a bad card, try updating to the crimson drivers. If that doesn't fix it, contact PowerColor and RMA it.
  4. Just remember to read the directions on how to install it and it's no problem. Luke didn't read them and had a hard time installing it in his video because of that. Just screw it in from behind and you'll be fine!
  5. What're your system specs? I had this problem once because I ran my 290 off an 8 year old Antec power supply. The card was also ruined so I RMA'ed it after I got a new power supply and it hasn't happened since.
  6. The i7-2600k is still fine for gaming. 650Ti is better due to higher compute performance. For $200 you can buy an R9 290 which is as good as a 970 for significantly less or get an R9 390 which is bother faster than the 97 and less expensive. Will it be better for WoW? Don't know, I have no idea about how demanding wow is.
  7. I've never seen a good ASUS card. they always run the heat pipes outside of the heat sink however, this doesn't help dissipate heat and it always runs hotter.
  8. I agree with you on the core performance but wasn't the 820 supposed to clocked higher than this said? While the exynos 7420 benches really high, the S6 has rather poor battery life. A friend of mine has one that's rather warm at any time during use. If i had to guess, I would believe the octa core setup on the 7420 is fast yet power hungry. Unless there's better documentation of power consumption.
  9. IMHO: who gives a shit. Is the Samsung multi core faster? Yes. What phone has shit battery life? The Samsung. As long as the UI doesn't lag and it has low power consumption, who cares if the Samsung, it's hot if you use it and has a potato battery, benches slightly higher. Apple got it right, as long as the user experience is good, the numbers don't matter.
  10. As an AMD user it would have been nicer to have it earlier but I've had a fine time without drivers since hour one. It's not like it was broken on launch and needed a day 1 driver to work. Plus given that AMD recently changed up the management structure for their whole graphics division, I'll gladly give them some slack.
  11. I don't think this is a serious post. Needless to say it'd take a $2000 macbook at least to get something not suited for this task. Get your parents to buy you a good PC.
  12. My XFX 290 hits 1125/1500. Don't run it at that but lulz
  13. try latest beta drivers and what're your temps on the cores?
  14. I think a different PSU make a difference, it doesn't have a silent, fan off mode. I have the bottom fan for my crossfire setup so it gets plenty of cool air. I believe a lot of the noise is coming from the cpu pump, it seems to be rather noisy. I'll change that out.
  15. I've become a bit of a nose snob as of the recent past and I want to turn my pc into Linus's ideal 'whisper quiet build'. The setup: All the 140mm fans are Fractal silent series (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835352007) The 120mm fans on the radiator Rosewill rebrands of Akasa Apaches (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835200068) I removed the top HDD cage for more airflow. The radiator is held to the top of the case with rubber washers in between the case and radiator. The rest of my rig specs are in my signature. I also have a Hyper 212 Evo at home which I could trade out for my AIO, which would allow me to put the sound proofing material back in the top of the case. As far as current max temps temps: CPU: <55 C (probably needs new thermal paste) GPU 1: MSI 290 Gaming: Out for RMA GPU 2: XFX Double Dissapation <72C SSD: (on the rear side of the mobo) <37C HDDs: <35C Current Plan: Change the AIO out for my Hyper 212 Evo & put the sound proofing covers back over top. Any other suggestions on how to quiet this puppy down so I can achieve this?: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u8HsjgtMzEg
  16. This, you could have a million analysts analyzing everyone's text messages, phone calls, conversations and 99.999% of that is gonna be unrelated to their 'official goal'. However the end information will then be available for wrongful police use, and will be ripe for corrupt government officials to help do some people's dirty work.
  17. WTF, an R9 290 Core edition is XFX's refence 290. For the love of god, keep the Titan Z Edit: why the hell did you buy a Titan z if you have an fx 4300?
  18. Indeed sir, we are a very rare breed. It is rather funny, the amount of misconceptions out there from movies and video games is ridiculous. I've read a number of stories about buglers leaving homes they've broken into after hearing the owner simply pump the shotgun once. It's a very distinct and menacing sound. Telling people to buy a hundred dollar gadget to put on their gun is silly, why would I do that? And plus, what if the battery dies and I need to defend myself in my home and I can't unlock my gun?
