Well, I think you are best off going with the Shield Tablet. But, Nexus 9 is a pretty good choice esp. if you can get it from http://www.htc.com/us/go/htc-hot-deals/ Also, if you really want that display from Samsung, but dislike TouchWiz blah blah, then just root it and get a custom ROM on it.

What are the top 5 smart phones out right now?
kungpaogao replied to Skreedles's topic in Phones and Tablets
(random order) Xiaomi Mi3 or Mi4 Nexus 5 (kinda dated but good for budget) OnePlus One HTC One M8 iPhone 6 Xperia Z3 Moto X 2014 LG G3 -
Jeez, that's a tight budget esp. if you plan on video editing ...and it being a convertible. If you really don't do too much video editing... Asus T100 or T200 Lenovo Yoga 2 (11-inch) Lenovo Miix 11?
-
Xiaomi Mi3 or Mi4 ...but it's probably not available in your area. You could also wait for later today when HTC Deals drops something nice,it may or may not be an HTC One M8. But, Nexus 5 seems like a nice option.

The new Yoga 3 Pro looks pretty appealing for college usage. But, if you don't care about Mac vs. Windows, the Macbook lineup is also a great choice. Another decent option is an Asus Zenbook (notably the UX301LA, or variants of). I like your initial choice of the X1 Carbon, though. You could check out some of the other Thinkpad's (sale and stuff): http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/landingpage/promotions/thinkpad/weekly-sale/ ...I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Z40 which is a pretty good budget laptop, that could also work if you want to save some money. Alright, sorry this post is so disorganized, kind of spewed some stuff that I could think of into this post as I watched a video ADD-ONS: Apparently Samsung ATIV Book 9 is also a good choice? (*according to Consumer Reports)

[?] Best Budget 1080p, IPS Monitor, 21.5" [~100 USD]
kungpaogao replied to kungpaogao's topic in Displays
Ah, sorry! I knew I was missing something! OP updated... It was supposed to be 21.5" -
Do you guys have any suggestions? Purpose: I'm mainly going to use it for standard usage such as web-browsing, document-editing, etc. Also, I will use it for some light gaming and photo-editing and video viewing. Point is: the refresh rates don't have to be that high, but the monitor has to be 1080p, have sharp/accurate/vibrant colors, and have HDMI/VGA ports. Also, I'm looking for a 21.5" monitor! Budget: Around 100 USD: the cheaper, the better. Max price: 130 USD (as long as it meets the requirements above) That's basically it! Thanks in advance!

IPhone 6 unlocked for foreign carrier use?
kungpaogao replied to slimfit's topic in Phones and Tablets
No, he's in Vietnam The unlocked version of the iPhone 6 should work as long as your Vietnamese carrier is "GSM" (which is probably true). -

problems with 1 year old htc one m7
kungpaogao replied to teddyteddyteddy's topic in Phones and Tablets
Download App Cache Cleaner, clean the cache/residual files and see if that helps (may not). Also, try going through apps you don't use/need and uninstall them. As mentioned in earlier comments, turning off/down things such as: location/GPS services, brightness, volume (non-essential services, or operations), etc. help to preserve battery life. -
First things first, the MacBook Air is a solid device with Apple's build quality and good specs. If you want it, go with it. In terms of suggestions: Asus Zenbook UX303 - on Amazon (the link), they sell the following variants: GENERAL SPECS (so I don't have to type over and over): 13.3" touchscreen IPS, Smoky Brown, aluminum finish, 3.2 lbs cheaper (~880 USD):FHD screen (1920x1080) i5-4210U : Haswell, 1.7GHz Haswell UMA graphics 8GB RAM 128GB SSD more expensive (~1300 USD):QHD screen (3200x1800) i7-4510U : 2GHz NVIDIA GT840M 2GB VRAM 12GB RAM 256GB SSD NOTE: There is also the UX301's which are black, have Gorilla Glass, and are a few hundred USD more expensive... Lenovo Yoga Series I know, I know, my suggestions have been basically all touchscreen... if you don't like them, don't consider them Have fun and good luck looking for devices!

Never encountered that problem... weird. Does it have to do with your internet? Or, have you tried rebooting your device (LOL, when in doubt, reboot it)?

Logitech M510 wireless mouse It's not anything crazy like a gaming mouse, but it serves my purposes perfectly and it looks pretty decent Lenovo T500 (not really a purchase) - Core 2 Duo, Windows XP --> Xubuntu My dad brought it home from work, used it for two years even though not that good, I loved it WD Elements external 2TB HDD Storage 'cause I'm a laptop person

Great phone in terms of specs (QHD screen, Snapdragon 805 SoC), but the screen is waaaaayyyy too big for me and that price tag 0_0 kungpaogao.blogspot.com

Want to find a laptop with very specific specs.
kungpaogao replied to That Norwegian Guy's topic in Mobile Gaming
Jeez... 18-inch+ monitor... I've never heard of anything like that What about 17-inches? -
SWAG! Thanks man

Look into Lenovo's Y Series stuff... The Y510p isn't sold officially on their website anymore, but if your friend doesn't mind refurbished stuff, I'm sure you can find some stuff on eBay (or other similar sites). Also, if he needs it just for Minecraft... Z40? Check it out I guess. It has i7 and 8GB RAM at max configuration for like <700 USD.
