    Thank you all knowing others did it gave me courage so I did it a twisted and hair dryer method worked

    Wow. I have the same cpu as you did you do it on that one? Tho I doubt that'll make a difference can you elaborate on how you used the hair dryer like directed I really don't want any damage

    I saw couple of videos about the floss I tried to grind it but there was no place to grind, it was just rubbing over the IHS it slowly just broke. Um also can you put cpu back into the socket without doing the lever thingy?

    I don't have a heat controlled hair drier, it just had one fast and one slow mode I am worried if I might over heat it. Should I be worried if not how should I direct the heat drier over the to have maximum chance? Also I have been wiggling it slowly for 2 hours lol

    Tried dental floss and twisting. Its stuck like super glue. I'm to scared to bend the pins and about putting it back into socket, can you elaborate??

    I just bought a new Mobo, I was tryna remove from my old and we'll the cpu came off stuck with the heatsink thankfully I didn't do any pin damage (I hope) so how can I now remove this from the heatsink, I dont think I have rubbing alcohol I didn't heat the cpu before I removed that was my mistake

    Do you have any idea what happened instantly before you found out about front panel jack? It seems its probably physical damage tho i might be wrong

    Completely agree with this Cant see any place where you can cut corners here other then maybe 1tb mech drive This will give you a clear upgrade part in future you can probably upgrade to 5XXX series processor tho i doubt it'll be any useful
