I just bought a 3070 and unfortunately forgot to disable/uninstall Afterburner. It usually starts after boot up and applies an overclock. Will Afterburner detect that it’s a different GPU and not apply the old settings or will this cause issues? I’m especially worried about the power limit, the current power limit in Afterburner is set to 125% and the new 3070 can only support around 110%. sorry if that’s a dumb question, I’m just a bit scared to damage my components/pc

I’ve build my PC in May and I am honestly not sure when it started or if it’s a software or hardware problem. I started to notice it about a month ago. So to describe my problem a little bit more specifically, the PC freezes after about a minute on the desktop if I don’t do anything, even if steam for example is open. The only way to fix this, is doing a hard reboot. I honestly do not know what the issue could be, performance is fine, thermals are good, games run smooth and in general everything seems to be okay besides that. When I have a full screen application running, for example Battlefield 1, I can be idle for as long as I want. Here’s my hardware if that helps in any way: PCPartPicker Part List: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/gB4WYH CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor (€177.00 @ Mindfactory) CPU Cooler: NZXT Kraken X63 98.17 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (€142.90 @ Amazon Deutschland) Motherboard: Asus ROG Strix X570-F Gaming ATX AM4 Motherboard (€256.26 @ Amazon Deutschland) Memory: G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory (€171.99 @ Mindfactory) Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 250 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (€63.90 @ Amazon Deutschland) Storage: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive (€165.90 @ Amazon Deutschland) Video Card: Asus GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER 8 GB STRIX GAMING OC Video Card (€565.99 @ ARLT) Case: NZXT H500 Overwatch ATX Mid Tower Case (€88.49 @ Amazon Deutschland) Power Supply: be quiet! I just got a new Aorus F127Q, it’s GSYNC Compatible and it still flickers even though the framerate is in the adaptive sync range. Could this be a problem with my unit specifically and should I replace it or is there anything I can do to fix it? Despite the flickering issue I really like the monitor and prefer it over alternatives like the 27GL850.

- gsync

Ok thanks, I can still send it back and just get a new one but I’m not quite sure because it honestly not really an issue with headphones in my opinion. The thought that it could potentially break it on the other hand is a bit scary.

I tried to change all sorts of settings from brightness to adaptive sync but nothing fixed it. Although I unplugged the power cable and put it back in, that kinda fixed it but only for a minute.

Okay thanks, I’ll probably keep the monitor anyway, with headphones it’s not even noticeable.

I just got a new Aorus F127Q because I honestly couldn’t stand the absolutely horrible contrast on the 27GL850, plus my unit had terrible backlight bleed. Anyway, everything seems to be great about the F127Q but it makes a strange pretty high pitched buzzing noise. It’s not really that noticeable, especially with headphones on but still pretty weird. What could be the cause of this and can I fix it without replacing it?

Monitor made loud snapping sound while unboxing it

I’ll try that, thanks. -

That’s probably most likely what happened, it sounded like two things snapping together. -

Yes it works fine, I think. I already had it out of the packaging, there was a soft thin bag around it and while removing that it made the sound, sorry for the lack of better words. -
I know it sounds a bit stupid but I just got a new 27GL850 and while removing the soft bag around it, the monitor made a pretty loud cracking/snapping sound. Everything seems to be fine, can’t find any visible cracks. So I’m curious and worried what that could have been and if anyone experienced something similar.
