  1. Have a look at the design page for the embody. Its really quite a cool design the way they made the ergonomics. This isn't so much a comfort thing as making sure everyone who uses it can sit in it for 8+ hours a day and still have good posture and comfort so as not to cause ongoing issues with say your back, neck etc. In using the chair the biggest thing I adjust is the tilt back.keeping the feet flat on the floor and using the included setup guide has made the product well worth owning. I'm actually surprised the logitech chair is a rebranded embody I was expecting something new but its really cool. The one thing I hope logitech do is get some replacement arms released that allow connections for like joysticks etc for sim stuff as the arms when gaming are the weakest part of the design. https://www.hermanmiller.com/en_au/video-gallery/making-of-the-embody-chair/ https://www.hermanmiller.com/en_au/products/seating/office-chairs/embody-chairs/
  2. There are some options that are usable for the first option. I agree the second option is the better one. VPN. but you can use services like say resilio sync which will allow file access securely.
  3. with people mentioning aluminium how baller would it be to do the whole desk frame out of a single milled piece like apple and razer do their laptop chassis. you would get strength and have a thinner desk base allowing better component placement and it would look much nicer at the edges as you could round them in some form. Massive waste of aluminium with all the scrap that would come out but it would look cool.
  4. So I have an Embody. Obviously not a Logitech branded version. All they did was slap some accents on and introduce another fabric option. The chair itself is well worth the Money. I've had mine for a few years now and its as good as the day I got it. If you set it up and use it correctly its very comfortable and usable for 8+ hours a day. Much better than the "gaming" chairs out there. but you do pay for the quality you get. This is the first "Gaming" chair that I'd argue is actually designed to be used correctly for long gaming sessions and actually last longer than a year or so in heavy use applications. I can't wait for some actual reviews. I just hope people configure it right when they review it.
  5. I’ve been curious about this but what’s the best timings you can get for amd at the moment. I’ve been curious what’s the lowest timings you can get at 3200 which seems to be the best match under ryzen. I.e. can you get cl13 from an underclocked 4000 kit
  6. Sweet. Thanks for the response. Good to know you folks are working on getting a good quality product in. I look forward to the day I can get some.
  7. So I wanted to get some new socks to wear with my uggies (ugg boots). Lttstore.com I’m thinking being that Linus is such a connoisseur of a decent thickness sock to be worn well with sandles. But alas no socks to be found. I was shocked I tell you, shocked. so my question is when are we getting some good quality thick socks on lttstore? I wouldn’t mind some decent quality ones and hey anything for a fun plug in a video too right? P.S. a sock video on quality and material etc would be kinda fun.
  8. Don't forget these are designed to have airflow forced front to back on purpose. There has to be enough flow over ram and CPU's etc.
  9. Auctions are also great. Thats where I picked up my racks in the past. If you go auction you will bypass the resellers who buy from the auction to then on sell as well. Over here in AU land the smaller racks like you are after go for more too because they are rarer. Larger racks are a dime a dozen so go for bugger all.
  10. one thing that doesn't get mentioned if you only want to run all that stuff then as already mentioned you can docker it all. But if you are looking to spin up a couple windows VM's to play with Hyper-V lets you use AVMA keys if you have a datacenter license and you can have as many VM's as you like running windows on it. Hardware wise the other option is a HP Microserver if you just want to play.
  11. I really like the way you managed to do that. Very cool 3d printed case mod.
  12. Honestly not familiar enough with Webdav to answer that for you. I went the full VPN route and haven't ever tried setting up other options for external access from home. I've used SFTP options before for file transfer and they are secure enough but not sure about WebDav or the options surrounding it for direct external access.
  13. so you can take out all the add in cards apparently they are supposed to run quieter without the raid card an any add in cards in them but I've never tried it with mine as I kinda need drives in it.
  14. I was curious about the bit depth and throughput as well in this video. I'd love to see a longer video from LTT on this with this monitor as really DP2 is where its at so you don't need to use DSC. I'm surprised that native res, 240 and HDR still comes through with DSC apparently being lossless. I honestly thought the throughput wasn't available at that point. As to the display HDR compliance not only was the previous CRG9 DisplayHDR 1000 certified but the G9 apparently also carries the HDR10+ certification as well: https://www.samsung.com/au/monitors/odyssey-g9-c49g95t/LC49G95TSSEXXY/ Keep in mind this was a sponsored video so the talking points aren't all LTT and the information they gave wasn't wrong but they don't go into as much detail in these videos. It is definitely worth a follow up for some clarification though and Linus did say at the end there was going to be an LTT video on it so hopefully its not far away.
