With a 2.5K budget you could get a laptop for college and a desktop for games

Laptops that are somewhat decent for Gaming, are thick and heavy. Idk who would like to carry that shit around all day

If your Budget is up to 2,5k...
Why don't you just build a Desktop-PC for around 1000-1300~,
and get a 1000-1200 Notebook, that is only there for Working/studying?  Slim, Light, long battery live etc.

The gaming laptop to go for right now seems to be a Zephyrus G14 w/ Ryzen.

TL;DR: The Surface Book 3 and/Or the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 are really solid, the Surface book 3 because of how flexable it is (But for $2500 for a high-spec), while still being powerful while the G14 is great because it's professional-looking, powerful, and sleak for about $1500

The surface book3 could be suitable. $2500 gets you a 13.5 inch powerhouse, basically. GTX 1660 (I Think at least lol), some i7, probably a 10th gen, 32gb of ram, In case you're going to be editing or smnth, and 512gb of nvme storage. Also, You can detach the screen from the keyboard (which contains a battery, obviously the keyboard/backlight, and the graphics card), and It can function fine like a Ipad on it's own. Theres really only two downsides, one being that the design is nice, but still 5 years old, and that it's really expensive for the components that you get, without looking at how premium it is, or it's features. If you don't need the Functionality of the surface book 3, you could go with the ASUS ROG Zephyrus  G14- With a Ryzen 9 4800hs which basically stomps on Intels offerings, 16gb of ram, and a 2060 Max-q all around $1500 or so. It's a very premium device with a high-refresh display, and looks professional, but still pakcs a 2060. It's a pretty decent device at the slight lower end of your price range, that can perform very well. Don't expect it to do 1080P 144fps gaming on high for Triple aaa games, but It will get you decent performance for most games at medium settings.

You’re playing what £1500 for that blade? You can get a mid range laptop with a 128GB SSD and a decent PC for that. Gaming laptops aren’t really worth it.

Best laptop for college is actually a MacBook btw (not for gaming obvs).

Hey guys I plan on buying the late 2019 version of the blade stealth for next year of college and was wondering if there are any downsides to it. Primary reason I'm going with it is it's a thin and light laptop with a decent processor and gpu (1650) and plan to buy a EGPU and bring my monitor, so i don't have to bring my desktop to college. However, still not 100% sure this is the best option, but as a heads up I'd like to avoid bringing my desktop to college and going any bigger with the computer I get. Any thoughts thanks in advance!
