  1. AMD tends to be more efficient, and provide the best overall bang for your buck. However if price isn't an issue, then Intel still offers the best performance, but tends to be more power hungry and runs hotter.
  2. The g14 is very good as far as laptops go. It has the same issues as any other laptop (Thermals, limited upgradability) but for your purposes it should work just fine. I do recommend getting the model that comes with 16gb of ram, rather than the 8gb model though.
  3. Digital games are typically priced the same as the physical copies, however digital games save on production and distribution, leading to more profit. Another thing to consider it that along with launching a new console, Sony is also launching their own game studio. So the more they push digital games, the more they save on production and distribution. They could also use this approach to price games more competitively in order to increase sales.
  4. The internet speed will also depend on what kind of USB you connect to. If possible i recommend using USB 3.0 or thunderbolt for the best experience.
  5. Out of the 2 that you listed i would go with the Anker. If you can find a pair in your price range, I would try and get a pair of Sony headphones. Even their budget option tend to be good quality.
  6. For your budget I would recommend the Blue Yeti. Good quality sound, and comes with a stand if you don't want to invest in a boom arm.
  7. Might be easier to spend $40 on a budget gaming keyboard... And you have an extra in case you mess up your old key board.
  8. You will have to replace the screen. Usually your service provider will replace it of anywhere from $80 to $200. if you make a claim, you could have your phone back in working condition within a couple of days.
  9. Unfortunately it sounds like your motherboard is dead. Provided you haven't blatantly mistreated the laptop, you shouldn't have any issues with using the manufacturers warranty to replace or repair the laptop. However, be prepared to be without a laptop for quite a while, as i may take some time for them to honor the warranty and your new/ repaired laptop to arrive.
  10. If you are looking to use a laptop for creative work, and still do a bit of gaming I would suggest this: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/msi-15-6-4k-ultra-hd-laptop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-nvidia-geforce-rtx-2060-512gb-ssd-space-gray-with-silver-diamond-cut/6382859.p?acampID=633495&cmp=RMX&loc=1ItSFgUbAxyOWa1xU-SAVSQkUkizkJy9LwaL3Q0&ref= Its a little bit over your budget, but its about as good as it get as far entry level creative work on a laptop. I would steer clear of using most gaming laptops for video or photo editing as the displays will more than likely not be color accurate. Also most gaming laptops in your budget will only have quad core CPUs, which will make video rendering, and encoding take quite a long time, and won't be a smooth experience. If you aren't happy with this option, feel free to browse the web for other options. But keep a few things in mid while you do; You will need dedicated graphics (Preferably a 1660, or better). You are also going to want a CPU with 6 cores or more and at least 16gb or RAM. Finally look for a laptop that has a color accurate display that is at least 1440p. As long as the laptop meets these criteria, it should provide a good experience for photo and video editing, and be more than capable of some gaming after you finish working. Happy shopping!
  11. Your 980s should run it fine, but you should should consider spending $150- $200 on a newer gpu. A single 1650 should give you a noticeably better experience than 2 older GPUs in SLI, and it is a cheap and easy upgrade. Many 1650s can get enough power from your PCIe slot and don't even require a separate power connector. Here is a link to a solid option: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-GTX-1650-XS/dp/B081Q6KKDS/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=GTX+1650&qid=1588468585&s=electronics&sr=1-4
  12. It depends on what you are upgrading. If you have windows on a boot drive and you install that drive on your new motherboard it should work. As long as the system is not connected to power when you remove the drive and the drive is is uninstalled properly you shouldn't have any corrupted data that would require a fresh install of your OS.
  13. So you can't assign specific cores to different monitors. However you can assign cores to specific tasks or virtual machines, which is what they for "8 gamers, 1 cpu". The cores you assign to a task will only work on that task, and you can put that task on a specific monitor, however that task is not limited to that monitor.
  14. This should be fine for your needs. https://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-laptops/inspiron-14-3000-laptop/spd/inspiron-14-3493-laptop/nn3493dxweh?gacd=9694607-1004-5761040-0-0&dgc=st&&gclid=Cj0KCQjwtLT1BRD9ARIsAMH3BtWdVsOREM5cCxjomC99NzRgsp5plIwnF2LP-v0uIgO1aM8xIH4qZX8aAi7GEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  15. Look into preowned, refurbished gaming laptops. you can find laptops with better specs for about that price. (Make sure you go through a reputable website/ store when buying refurbished! Look on Amazon for the "Amazon certified Refurbished")
