Yes upgrading your cpu would increase performance. What is your budget for upgrading?

Try Aida64 and look at the CPUID.  Task Manager is nice thing but it gives false info, like cpu usage etc.  Or you can try CPU-Z and let us know.

if this is for a gaming setup p dont the 6xx doesnt have great technicalities for gaming. the magni heresy is great the modi isn't the topping e30 and topping d10 are much more worth it for a dac. in terms of extra cabels if you have a setup more then 3 feet away an exra long usb a to usb type b cable would be nice as the ones the ones thst come with the dacs are typcally not too long. and you need an rca cable to plug abetween the amp and dac

Take it all out of the case and put it on a cardboard box
ONLY connect motherboard, cpu, ram, cpu cooler and PSU. Nothing else.
Reset CMOS and hope for the best.
