  1. You should not worry about this unless the connector actually comes loose.
  2. You can afford a pretty fancy GPU model, and a nice power supply as well, with a budget like that. Put it all inside a good NZXT case and you're all good to go. 3. This is quite common, as the housing is made of soft plastic.
  4. If you already have an overclocked 4 core, I don't think either of these would really be an upgrade
  5. You should try to expand your budget, you can afford something like this PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Athlon 3000G 3.5 GHz Dual-Core Processor $63.49 @ B&H Motherboard MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX Micro ATX AM4 Motherboard $79.99 @ B&H Memory GeIL EVO SPEAR 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory $63.99 @ Newegg Storage Team MS30 512 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive $57.99 @ Newegg Video Card ASRock Radeon RX 570 4 GB Phantom Gaming D Video Card $119.99 @ Newegg Case Cougar MX330 ATX Mid Tower Case $45.99 @ B&H Power Supply Corsair CX (2017) 450 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply $59.98 @ Newegg Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $491.42 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-03-29 10:17 EDT-0400
  6. Just having a look at the raw specs on Intel's Ark, the only difference is really a little clock speed difference. A CPU that old, in a game as new as GTA V, you won't notice a difference. Also, I don't think R6S will be that pleasant to play on this setup. In fact, I've read online about some users unable to play with old CPUs such as core 2 quad models.
  7. You can save money with the not MAX version of the tomahawk. The max usually costs a little more, because it's updated for Ryzen 3000.
  8. Just encountered this error, hopefully someone can advise
  9. I'm unsure why this was moved to displays, I think @JM21 was talking about his PC case's side glass panel. and as far as I understand it, this is basically how tempered glass is. Super hard, scratch resistant exterior, but constant strain of the glass's structure, so it can go pop. I think warranty covers it.
  10. If you're doing Folding@home like me, it's great to have a second GPU. for other uses, though, it will often do nothing.
  11. If your settings are all low, maybe the farm rate is maxed out and the CPU is being used up that way. Nvidia presets don't seem to always know what you need, so you should probably turn the settings up and see if that helps.

Pretty sure we've seen a handful of these by now, I think there were some that even supported DDR3! Still, I think what the people really wanted were Z170 and Z270 boards that supported 8th gen. Also, are these motherboards even sold in the United States?
  13. Can you return the graphics card? If you can't, don't stress it.
  14. cheap used backplates on ebay seem somewhat common
  15. Looks like you have a decent upgrade path. The proverbial "just mow some lawns" advice that American youths take to may not be applicable for yourself, but you could certainly find some other revenue stream, optimistically as an assistant in some computer shop if you're lucky. Your i3 can be upgraded to an i7-3770, you can toss 4GB of ram more into it, and with a proper PSU, just about any graphics card becomes a good addition to your rig. And most importantly, you have an SSD!
  16. Hell no! Check out my specs, she's a dream come true. Doesn't matter how "low end" she is!
  17. The R9 fury will provide quite the VR performance increase in minecraft, for sure. But, minecraft is pretty hard on the CPU, so maybe you should improve hat first. I'm not so sure I trust userbenchmark, tech reviewers like Hardware Unboxed have expressed concerns with how they collect and curate data.
  18. The R9 fury is a cool pick at that price, slight performance lean on the RX 480 for reference. Quite the power hog, but a 650 watt PSU like yours (if it's a good one) is sure to get the job done. As for the core i5, that's basically what you have. A 4 core CPU with a turbo of 3.4GHz and no hyper threading, you probably won't get large performance gains with an i5-3570. Instead, a CPU with hyper threading like any of the cheap i7 models would be quite beneficial for modern games.
  19. I think you should start with the graphics card, The 1660 super has shown to be an impressive choice for most systems. You can probably find good value on old i7 processors on ebay, like a 2700K.
  20. On the motherboard tier list, it is in the "maxed out 1600X and 3600X, a bit more than maxed out 2500X" tier, which makes it sound like it will run the 3700X or 3800X well enough. I don't think you'll need a new motherboard to accommodate this processor.
  21. Why are there so many prices missing? Are you buying these parts from a store instead of online?
