  1. You will also need a cheap graphics card because the Ryzen 5 3600 doesn't have integrated graphics.
  2. That motherboard looks like a Z490 Maximus Formula instead of a Z490 Maximus Hero in the picture. The VRMs on the Formula are meant to be watercooled, while the VRMs on the Hero have heatsinks on them, so they can be cooled by the case fans. So, make sure that you are not getting the Formula.
  3. Try posting here: Edit: Oops someone posted it at the same time as me.
  4. I usually sell my PC to one of my relatives and build a new one once something worth upgrading to comes out, which typically happens every 2-3 years for me.
  5. I have the swacket and the black & gold ltt water bottle. Still trying to convince my parents that the underwear is worth it.
  6. I'm pretty sure that Mrwhosetheboss made the video, but I cannot find it for some reason.
  7. Is the power supply on? Is the front panel power button plugged in? Are all of your cables fully plugged in?
  8. One includes a capture card, but that still isn't worth over $300 ...
  9. I can confirm that my 2080 Super cannot hit 4K 120. It can hit 1440p 165 in most AAA games on high settings, so I would go with the 1440p 165 Hz option like boggy77 said.
  10. I would wait until the AMD Ryzen 5 3100X and B550 motherboards are available to purchase, and then add them to this build. The Ryzen 3 3100X is going to retail for $100, and then you can try to find a good $70 motherboard for it. 11. I would try to get some 3600 speed memory if it doesn't cost too much extra, since 3rd gen Ryzen performs better with fast ram. I would also go with a MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX if looks are important to you. Note: If you choose to get a MSI B450 Tomahawk, you would want to go with the MAX variant because it ships with a bios that is compatible with 3rd gen Ryzen. The MSI B450 A-Pro Max motherboard is not compatible with 3600 speed memory. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/jcYQzy/msi-b450-tomahawk-max-atx-am4-motherboard-b450-tomahawk-max https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/RLqhP6/corsair-vengeance-lpx-16gb-2-x-8gb-ddr4-3600-memory-cmk16gx4m2z3600c18
  12. If he decides to go with that motherboard, he wouldn't need to update the bios. The ASUS website says that it is 3rd Gen Ryzen ready. https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B450-F-GAMING/
  13. The explosion would be three times as big if it was running Crysis.
  14. What is your budget? What country do you live in? I would try replacing the CPU with a Ryzen 5 1600 AF. It is $85 in the US. https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Processor-Wraith-Stealth-Cooler/dp/B07XTQZJ28
  15. Granted, but you have to drink it straight out of the carton and all in one sitting. I wish that the squirrel at my window stopped staring at me.
  16. The monkey believes that console gaming is superior to PC gaming. Edit : Forgot the second part. I wish for Linus to keep his quarantine beard.
  17. Thanks! How much of a performance difference is there compared to an SSD with a DRAM Cache?
  18. Hey guys, I was wondering if the TEAMGROUP MP33 M.2 PCIe SSD has a DRAM cache. The product page : https://www.teamgroupinc.com/en/product/mp33 and the pcpartpicker page https://pcpartpicker.com/product/Brvqqs/team-mp33-512-gb-m2-2280-nvme-solid-state-drive-tm8fp6512g0c101 do not mention a DRAM cache. The product page advertises read speeds of up to 1800 mbps and write speeds of up to 1500 mpbs. Thanks.
  19. If you go AMD, you would need to pick up a discrete graphics card, as Ryzen 7 and 9 do not have integrated graphics. However, the i7-9700k has integrated graphics. You could use a 3700x instead of a 3800x and use some of the $130 you save in getting a cheap graphics card just for a video output. The 3700x can be overclocked to match the performance of the 3800x, since you have a good cooler. I wouldn't buy the i7-9700k because it is more expensive than the 3700x, and not as powerful.
  20. Did you try turning off the noise cancelling? If this doesn't work, you can contact Logitech if your headset is still under warranty, their customer service is pretty good.
  21. There is a Ryzen 5 1600 AF (12 nm) for $85 that you can buy. You probably would want to replace the Wraith Stealth stock cooler with something a bit better. You would get an increase in performance with higher speed memory, maybe something that runs at 3600 mhz. A lot of people like the Phanteks eclipse p300a mesh case. You should probably watch a review of it to see if you like it before purchasing. I don't know much about this motherboard, so I cannot help you about that. If you scroll to the bottom of the Nvidia spec sheet for the 2070 super : https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/rtx-2070-super/#specs , it says that they recommend at least a 650 watt psu. I would also try to get an 80+ gold certified psu. AMD Ryzen 5 1600 AF (cooler is probably not sufficient) Phanteks Eclipse P300a mesh
  22. I'm pretty sure you can do better by getting a 280Hz HDR monitor that is 1080p 27" for $379. https://www.microcenter.com/product/620464/asus-vg279qm-27-full-hd-280hz-hdmi-dp-hdr-g-sync-compatible-ips-led-gaming-monitor
  23. The custom keyboard market is filled with compact and tkl keyboards. It is almost impossible to find full sized keyboards on r/MechanicalKeyboards. A lot of gamers prefer having a lot of space for their mouse, so keyboard companies are starting to make smaller keyboards. Esports people love small keyboards too. I have a keyboard without any macro keys, so I use an Elgato Stream deck for my macros.
