  1. That's a really interesting situation you have there. Do you mind sharing your router model? Also, have you tried asking some of your other friends if they can connect? It could be a security thingy not allowing your friend to do it.
  2. True, although that means the host has to have constant access to their PC to check their current IP address, which is kinda crap because maybe some friends want to play in the middle of the night, or he's not home etc. Dynamic DNS service is well nice, that's a great solution.
  3. How do you expect to do something if you didn't inform yourself about it or at least read the tutorial on how to do it? Imagine if I went on to create a car, but was too lazy to read how do you make cars, study aerodynamics, mechanical engineering etc. Would that car work? Definitely no. Also, one thing working 1 year ago doesn't mean it still is and does work. Maybe your ISP changed something about your network, or you changed your router, updated firmware, heck Minecraft changed something. I'm seriously confused. You want to do something but can't read a website tutorial which could potentially solve your problem.
  4. Hang on a bit, isn't this whole thread about your friend not being able to connect to your server? Which, to me, means that you want to play Minecraft with your friend on your server. So what is wrong with a free server with a maximum of 10 players if only you and your friend are going to play on it? Since you do know that you can not host Minecraft servers at home without static IP address which costs around $100 per month.
  5. @Alex Atkin UK summed up pretty well. Isn't it much simpler to find a free Minecraft server hosting site? Yes, they are limited to 5 or 10 players, but that's still too much for you and your friend.
  6. 192.168.xx.xx is your local address. Your friend can't connect to that unless you are on the same network. What you need to tell him is your public IP address.
  7. Agree, the 80D is not worth it at all. Feature and performance difference is minimal, if any. Meanwhile the price difference is huge. Go for the t7i, it's a great
  8. Used the G85, stopped using it. The focus on that thing is worse than Apple's attempt at blaming the users for Error 53 issue on iPhone 6. Trust me on this one. If you're looking for a mirrorless with great focus and 4k video: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1393461-REG/canon_2680c011_eos_m50_mirrorless_digital.html If you're looking for something with more lens options and not mirrorless: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1225875-REG/canon_1263c004_eos_80d_dslr_camera.html or (depending on your budget) https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1318281-REG/canon_eos_77d_dslr_camera.html Enjoy!
  9. Hi, I'd like to share my experience with the Rode VideoMicro microphone, which on first sight looks like one of those Ebay microphones like Boya etc. But it's far away from that. Picking up the package from the post office I revealed a really nice box, not bad quality at all. Some of the letters had a "golden" layer over it, which I found quite nice as a design detail. In the box there were: Rode VideoMicro Microphone Microphone Cable (3.5 mm to 3.5mm) *phone compatible cable is sold separately* Rode Wind Filter (aka Dead Cat) User manual Warranty (2 years!!) Picking up the microphone I noticed that it was made out of aluminium, which is quite unexpected for this price range. Even the microphone grill was aluminium and really nice (even to look at). Due to the use of aluminium, I was surprised at how light the microphone is. It's robust as much as it gets for this price range. In the meantime, I've noticed that the usual sponge microphone cover was not included, but I've noticed that there wouldn't be any use for it. If it's windy, you put on wind filter (filming outside etc.) and if you're filming inside there is no need of any filter (although the dead cat doesn't muffle the sound at all). The cable itself isn't bad, nothing too special. Has RODE branding on it, like everything else it came with. Hooking it up to my Canon 70D and using Automatic Level setting, I've noticed how crisp and clean the sound is, yet picks up a wide range of frequencies. Since this is a shotgun microphone, it picks up only what's in front of it and ignores what's around and behind it. I've seen and used expensive Sennheiser microphones, especially their shotgun options, and the price difference between these two is huge, yet the picking up sound direction isn't much different. There is a slight hiss, but I've noticed the same hiss in RODE's most expensive DSLR microphones so I decided to let it pass. Using this and testing it out revealed that the only con is that there are no options. It's literally plug in and plug out. While on RODE's more expensive options there are functions like low cut filter, boost etc. Not to forget the shock mount on this thing! It works wonders! I thought it was gonna be another really bad, plastic useless shock mount which is more for looks than for functions, but this thing really works! Still being happy due to sound quality I was getting from this microphone, this shock mount just blew me away. I've tried running with this thing, spinning around, the shock mount absorbs it all. I've made a really neat video using the Rode VideoMicro and filmed some sound tests (and a thunderstorm!). If you're interested in exactly how it sounds, check it out. Thanks for reading!
  10. So what they did is: They put a really nice CPU inside that laptop which I liked. They screwed up everything else related to the CPU because the MOBO doesn't deliver enough power (VRM-s to be exact) and now they lowered its performance, lowered the promised super huge turbo clock speeds and is still throttling the VRM-s when under full load. Good job Apple, $3k dollar machine with the capability of being great, but due to its manufacturer is shit.
  11. So basically what they did is limit the CPU so it can't draw enough power for itself and change the OS to show that it's using its full potential, while it's not because they limited it. Does that mean that it performs exactly like the 13 inch i7 model? Since I bet they used the same VRM-s on both machines.
  12. MacBook's VRMs are not delivering enough power to drive the CPU. Apple states that it's fixable with a software update, but that is BS. Saying that a HARDWARE problem is fixable with a software update is the same as me upgrading my car's firmware for it to run like a Porsche. Either recall every MacBook and change the VRMs or just admit that you fucked it up instead of making up "solutions" due to "unexpected workload". Like Rossmann says, if they just edited the MacBook commercial on a MacBook, they would have noticed the mistake. But it was probably made on a Windows machine
  13. Ye but here you don't even get asked. And bar codes are the same on, for an example, a coca cola bottle. So if I were to walk into that store with a coca cola bottle, the scanners would detect it and add it to my shopping bill. I'm confused, I don't find that convenient. Unless they scan you when you walk in, like I mentioned in the first post.
  14. But what if you walk into the store with some products you bought in a different store, do the scanners then also scan the things you bought in the previous store or do they initially scan your stuff when walking into the store and then automagically put them on a list of items that will be ignored when walking out? Just wondering.
  15. Fair enough! If you need some cheap recommendations for an HDD and SSD, here we go: HDD: 2TB: https://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Desktop-7200rpm-Internal-Drive/dp/B013JPKT9O/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1515105724&sr=8-9&keywords=Toshiba+HDD 3TB: https://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Desktop-7200rpm-Internal-Drive/dp/B013JPLOQQ/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1515105724&sr=8-3&keywords=Toshiba+HDD SSD: 512GB: https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-MX300-525GB-Internal-Solid/dp/B01IAGSD68/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1515105759&sr=1-5&keywords=SSD Super cheap, yet quite good (tested it personally): https://www.amazon.com/ADATA-SU800-128GB-3D-NAND-ASU800SS-128GT-C/dp/B01K8A29BE/ref=sr_1_9?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1515105759&sr=1-9&keywords=SSD
  16. You can get a 2 or even 3tb Toshiba drive for a bit more, not much. You could get a cheaper monitor in compensation for an SSD, even a 500 GB one. Depending on what your priorities are.
  17. 100% agree. If I was in your place, I'd go with them. There's even some cash left over, so you can even add a DAC. Maybe something like FiiO E10k?
  18. Probably not, huh. The DragonFly Red is one of the best DACS out there, so I don't really think that switching to schiit audio wouldn't make a huge difference, but yet it would cost a lot. What you can do is tinker around with an equalizer, those tend to customize the sound based on where you're using the headphones. For an example, you can create one profile for gaming, one for music listening, one for movies etc. Buying a new DAC/AMP, even from schiit audio wouldn't make a huge difference if any at all compared to the DragonFly Red. Try something like Equalizer APO in combination with Peace Equalizer, UI for Equalizer APO, then follow up on this thread how it went. Downloads: 1. Equalizer APO: https://sourceforge.net/projects/equalizerapo/ 2. Peace Equalizer, UI for Equalizer APO: https://sourceforge.net/projects/peace-equalizer-apo-extension/
  19. Depends on the source. YouTube is s*it for Hi-Fi listening. Let's be honest, after hearing better sources I wouldn't return to YouTube even if someone paid me. What you need is a DAC and AMP. Yea, quite a bit but worth it (10/10 me rated). But don't worry I got you covered! https://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E10K-Headphone-Amplifier-Black/dp/B00LP3AMC2/ref=pd_cp_23_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=8J2BJXWHT6CMK47JES8Z Doesn't cost a lot, has both the DAC and AMP inside and is dirt cheap! The sound quality is just, wow. If you have a bit more cash, or even more cash, follow up on what Daniel Z. said Post on here what you got!
  20. Today I decided to get myself new earphones, and I chose Roccat Syva not knowing what I’m getting into, but since I know Roccat is a well established brand, I thought I can’t go wrong with these. And I didn’t. I have a long history of buying new headphones and always looking for new and better ones. Since my focus is on computer headphones which can be seen in the background, I didn’t pay much attention to my earphones which I use very often. Well, since my pair is now three years old, I needed an upgrade. I was amazed at the sound quality when I used them the first time, well compared to my previous earphones which are Beats in association with Monster, these are heaven. Basses are clear and not distorted, mid tones are decent and the high tones are crisp. On the box it says things such as “Top class audio quality” and “Ultra low in weight and premium comfort”, while I usually don’t trust these facts and take away about 50% of what they promise, Roccat is not lying. The lightweight and great sound quality is all I want, and these will be my daily driver from now on. The cable is okay, it has a cool looking desing on it. It’s a ribbon cable and Roccat promisses it’s tangle-proof, and they really are tangle-proof. Well, compared to the Beats’ silicon cable which was so tangled. Wearing these is quite comfy, they fit well in my ear and they come with many ear tips which are different sizes. Wearing them while riding my bike is also fine, they don’t fall out as often as my previous pair. Overall, a decent pair of earphones for the price they sell, which is around 139.24 kn ($20.). They are marketed as in-ear gaming headset, but just because they are gaming doesn’t mean they have to be used only for that. I’m happy with these as my daily driver for music listening and a podcast here and there. So are these headphones for you? Leave a reply to this topic! We made a video as well, with some sexy shots of the product. Check it out! Give us your opinion in replies below.

wait holy shit there's an unlocked kaby lake i3…

I dont think it's worth the upgrade, to be honest. Intel has been pushing a lot of products in the last year. There are minor differences between Skylake and Kaby lake lol But still, people upgrade to them

    You mean i3 7350K?
  23. First, some history. So I don't waste your time First version of this microphone was released way back in 2005 and it got famous real quick. But, it was soon forgotten because Blue Yeti took over. However, Samson is back and they improved the old one a lot. New version features headphone output with zero-latency monitoring, and an improved signal to noise ratio, but has a lot more to offer. Roll the intro. Their website claims it also features natural warmth and detail of vocal and instruments, every producers’ dream. But we’ll check if it’s true. First that we spot on the box is that it’s USB, so no XLR output and no use with mixers. Unboxing is simple, it’s fairly protected by the foam and my box came all beaten up. Luckily, the mic was not damaged. It features a 19mm diaphragm and really ensures studio quality audio. If you’re interested in a sound test, it’s at the end of the video. Big improvement for us, and I’m sure for a lot of producers out there is that headphone port. I use it all the time, since it can output microphone’s sound mixed with computers one, which helps a lot. Their website claims this mic is great for voice overs, audio for YouTube videos like this one, and recording instruments. But, the biggest con of this microphone is that it features only supercardioid pickup pattern. It’s not a big deal since it picks up anything in front of it and eliminates everything behind, but this isn’t a microphone made for interviews. Big plus of this microphone is that the diaphragm is shock-mounted, and it does a really great job at eliminating vibrations from the table or anything else. Another good thing of this microphone is that it features flat frequency response, from 20Hz to 20kHz, so you can really edit the audio. With it’s 16-bit, 44.1 to 48 kHz resolution, you can be sure this mic will capture clean sound. Peak LED indicator in the front indicates when the audio is peaking, which is really helpful since I can’t look at the screen and read something from the paper in the same time. Green means good, red means peaking. Let’s talk about build quality. This is solid metal. Everything is made out of metal. Table stand, mount, body, capsule, anything you name is metal. And that means great build quality. The table stand is okay, does it's job, although Samson sells a better one seperately. I’m not gonna talk much about the cable, since there isn’t a lot to talk about. It’s long and okay, not too durable but does its job. A big plus again for this microphone that it’s plug and play, no drivers needed. And it works with my iPad which is helpful. It’s compatible with both Windows and Mac. Overall, honestly I would recommend this microphone to producers who are new to producing, but that doesn’t mean that professionals can’t use it. For the price it sells for, this is way too good. And I would recommend it over Blue Yeti and I wish more people knew about this product. Video: I hope you like this little review I did! What do you think about it? I'm new to all this, so I appreciate everything you write EDIT: Filmed with Canon 70D. Yea yea, I know, it's not the best I'll do my best to improve it.
  24. Making a keyboard is very expensive, but since I plan to make them, that isn't a big problem. But, it is really expensive to make one.
