  1. I don't freaking mind the "military class" marketing. What I hate the absolutely cringey BROWN and GREEN military coloring on the slots and ports. If there will ever be a Z170 Sabertooth Mark S, I hope they ditch the brown and green.
  2. No surprises here. AMD has good relations to Intel. It's a different story with AMD and nVidia though.
  3. I am totally in awe right now. I'm in US but from the Philippines and I buy a lot of bundles from Humble. The fact that I have actually helped both people in need AND game developers is simply amazing! I can't wait for tomorrow's Humble Bundle!
  4. I like the PSU. Not a lot of PSU's have stylish accents, specially good one.
  5. Weird... For some reason, the auto-tuning only gives 4.7GHz (47x 47x 46x 45x at 1.250v), it doesn't even "try" 4.8GHz. Back when I was still on the Hyper 212 air cooler, it would recommend 4.9GHz.
  6. The way the Tuning works is that it adds 100MHz and then does it's own stability test until it crashes. So I think Real Temp was only showing 4400MHz is because the PC never rebooted. The first photo was taken while it was still testing 5.3GHz, it went on to 5.4GHz but failed the test. 5.3GHz-4.0GHz=1.3GHz and 1.3GHz is 32.5% of 4.0GHz. I never saved the settings and triple checked that everything was back to stock. I thought the result was too good to be at a safe voltage so I didn't even save it or do a benchmark.
  7. FYI, I did not save this setting. I don't plan on overclocking automatically. I might try this again and check it with CPUZ and upload the results.
  8. Hello everyone! I planning on overclocking my CPU. While I'm still doing research, I tried playing around with Gigabyte's EasyTune Auto-Tuning. I don't want to stick to auto-overclocks or presets. I only did this to see a rough estimate of what my CPU might be able to overclock to. Here are the results: Problem is, I don't really know what to take from this result. What does it say about my CPU? CPU: Intel Core i7 4790k CPU Cooling: Corsair H80i with 2 Corsair SP120 High Performance Fans on push/pull Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z97N-WIFI Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (2x4GB) 1600mhz CL9 Storage 1: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB Solid State Drive Storage 2: Western Digital Blue 1TB 64MB Cache Hard Disk Drive Video Card: MSI Radeon R9 290 Video Card Power Supply: EVGA SUPERNOVA 750 watts 80+ Bronze Certified Case: Cooler Master Elite 130
  9. Congratulations on 1 million subs! I first saw you on NCIX. I found out that you had your own channel with daily videos. I have been taking advice from you for 3-4 years now but I have only built my own PC last month. Personally, i would love to see reviews or unboxings of custom PC parts from small but popular companies. Thank you Linus for all the tech tips!
