To my limited knowledge of the 1050Ti product line, majority of them do not require external power.

how much should I be paying for a used 1070
PrankishTrac replied to Jack0f5pades's topic in Graphics Cards
Buying used in this market doesn't really seem reasonable. If you need a card now I would recommend buying something like a 1660 or something similar and in that price range. -
I would suggest going on Twitch and applications/websites such as Craigslist, Offerup, and Ebay and seeing what other people in your area are selling them for.

Windows Install Failing after Upgrade
PrankishTrac replied to PrankishTrac's topic in Troubleshooting
Well, it would appear that Windows is being installed. Thanks for all the help! Also if anybody has some answers for my previous questions I am still kinda curious. Edit: A new USB thumb stick was the solution for anyone that runs into this problem and has tried all the other troubleshooting steps. -
Windows Install Failing after Upgrade

Looked through the BIOS CSM has been disabled since I started. I really hope it is just a bad USB stick the weird thing is, the installer installs its self just fine, no error no nothing. -
Windows Install Failing after Upgrade
PrankishTrac replied to PrankishTrac's topic in Troubleshooting
Interesting development, It would seem that after the computer is left turned off for several minutes it won't boot into the OS until I remove one RAM stick (or add it back). I set my BIOS back to default, still didn't help I'm gonna go get a new USB stick and download the installer on that. Is it possible for the windows 10 media installer to download fine but then when it needs to install a version of windows it gives up? any data experts here? -
Hello! I recently upgraded my storage drive from a Samsung SSD to Mushkin Pilot nVME drive, the install went smoothly with no damage to the system. I plan on making this the only drive for the system as my storage needs are quite small. I have always kept this USB thumb drive around just in-case I needed to repair my copy of windows, however it also comes in handy when installing a fresh copy. Upon device boot I got no video signal. I then proceed to unseat and re-seat the graphics card, that seemed to do the trick till I got to the windows installer when I encountered error (0x8007025D), after doing some quick google searching I found some trouble shooting steps. Including removing all USB devices and possibly a bad stick of RAM. After doing all those steps, except for obvious reasons removing the USB thumb stick and keyboard, the problem still persists. At my current point of troubleshooting I have 1 16Gb RAM stick out of the system as well as all NON-ESSENTIAL USB devices unplugged. Has anybody else encountered this problem? My next step I'm going to try is creating a New Windows ISO on a NEW thumb drive as I already have on my current one multiple times. Its a bit late where I am though and am going to head to bed. If anybody got any suggestions I'm all ears, especially if I don't have to spend on money on a new external USB stick. Thanks and Goodnight, Trevor (aka. Prankish)

I've heard that Corsair PSU are quieter however EVGA and Corsair are both reputable brands.

You know I'm still skeptical of Seagate but not as much as I used to be, I mean nothing beats WD reliability right?
-
Okay, thanks for the suggestion not that much more expensive either.

Opinions on this setup for my friend.
PrankishTrac replied to FireEagle244's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
I was about to recommend a very similar build to my friend, he really needs an upgrade. Interested to see what people say. -
Try reseating the card in the PCIe slot, if you haven't already.

Whats the difference between TLC, honestly my biggest concern is reliability, since I will be storying almost everything on it.

Don't know if you guys have Best Buy across the pond or something similar, but this monitor is a great deal and great for the money. I currently have two and love them. Their both 144Hz 1440p, even though you said you can't push that I still recommend this if your looking for an upgrade, however only if you can find them on sale, I would assume you might be able to find a similar deal over there.

Okay, thanks for the help!

I would like to save as much money as possible, I also don't NEED it right now. Do you think it would be worth the wait or would I be wasting time?

Looking to get rid of spinning rust for good and speed up my system, what NVME SDD would you recommend, been looking at Intel and considered Samsung however their drives are so... expensive. Here is the link to the Intel one I've been looking at, reviews seem good, but maybe somebody here as some amazing input they could add. https://www.newegg.com/intel-660p-series-2tb/p/N82E16820167461

Yeah it works fine on both my desktop and Surface with the Pritunl software, however I also wanna use it on my phone, Pritunl recommends using OpenVPN to login and they say they support it. When I put my profile into OpenVPN it reads it fine but then when I try to actually import the profile it takes forever then says "Connection Timed Out" maybe I'm entering in the wrong login or I need to enable something?

I'm trying to connect using OpenVPN on mobile however it keeps timing out the connection? Any ideas?
