This has gone way too far.
Its not even been a day. People just heard the news and then freaked out.
Wait for more news, and read the stuff that is out.
This should allow more investments into software, custom hardware, cheaper overall HMDs, more staff, larger/easier production and distribution.
Everyone has taken the news and in less than a day written off a company that has been building up its reputation for what, 2 ish years?
Facebook wont kill Oculus, its all the people over reacting and abandoning it that will harm it.

You clearly didn't listen enough. Pascal is the next generation of GPU architecture that's gonna feature unified memory architecture which will solve the bottlenecks that exist in the PC. It'll also feature 1TB/s of memory bandwidth which is about 3 times what we have now. None of this information is new, but Jen-Hsun Huang explained it in detail. By the way Maxwell was supposed to have the unified memory architecture, but apparently they decided to push that back to Pascal (previously called Volta) - this info is actually new.

The amount of hate on this is tremendous.
Guys. This is a professional card. While it is marketed as the best gaming card, it really is not appropriate for regulars like the rest of us, and you should not buy it unless you need it.
This is a great card for creative professionals and CUDA developers. Instead of having four PCI-E slots taken up by two GK110 cards, you can have two taken up instead, leaving more room for your NIC, RAID card, accelerator card, DSP card, etc., while still having more CUDA horsepower.

you have the time to play all those games you pirate
use that time to make more money to buy the amount of games you want
/mindblown
if you have enough time to play through so many games, you can be doing something far more useful/productive with your time. pirating because you're poor is a stupid excuse
