  1. yeah... because they *cannot* say the true use case without getting used into oblivion
  2. WRONG. thing tested the wrong thing. nobody ever uses vpn for "privacy" only reason to use vpn is to illegally watch or consume region restricted content. hope this helps ~
  3. good ips doesn't... but i agree, it doesn't look identical though, i find oled way too oversaturated in general, ips all the way (alternatively plasma, but *not* oled) I'd take a crt hd monitor over oled, that's how much i hate it lol.
  4. these are just reflections... i agree it looks horrible but that isnt an oled issue that's because you bought a glossy screen lol.
  5. who said it's the only game i played? why is someone's opinion who doesn't like walking simulators "ridiculous"? tbth, i don't think he got that memo... im not saying anything about the music cause that's subjective...
  6. played it, terrible. thank god it took me less than 2 hours to install like a gazillion mods and figure it out that its a god damn walking sim and insta refunded... oof. yeah, because people love their newd mods... zzZ no offense, but he's super cringe. might have been funny in the 60s lol
  7. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_films_with_high_frame_rates
  8. most movies won't have the option but ik for sure some movies are 60fps
  9. idk about tearing that might be actually a monitor issue... but that say 24 fps movies don't look smooth on a high refresh monitor is normal, depending on how the monitor handles it the results could be really poor. just reminded me why i only watch 60fps content on my pc (30fps is alright too, if no other option)
  10. psychological trickery, now that you have a psn account might as well try Stellar Blade (for science!) likely, as said it goes clearly against the spirit of the dma and there are similar things described - ie, google cant force google accounts on android, Microsoft can't on windows, etc. this is basically the same thing! it should never have been a thing at all, especially not with Sony's infamous security record...
  11. i think the opposite actually, you'd want it on a low range card as every little bit of performance can help. dlss doesn't take resources it *gives* you more headroom as it lowers quality = hence gives you more performance.
  12. simple: to gain fake marketing share for anti competitive purposes.
  13. any way to figure this out by part number or something? i have a 980 and its pretty damn fast and no issues so far *knock on wood* but im curious which one i got lol... (mine was really cheap like 60 bucks and i do not use the msi "heatshield" if that matters - temps generally between 40-60C i think)
  14. it would be illegal because its artificially bolstering sony numbers and may persuade people to buy a PlayStation who otherwise wouldn't, regardless of if it "was on the store page". Remember Sony is a gatekeeper, and there are very specific anti competitive rules applied. (however, i dunno, but i think it should definitely be illegal in spirit of these dma laws)
  15. yeah, but why would they break it before that date? not even microsoft could be this cruel, right? ._.
  16. while i understand having preferences, objectively shiny / glossy has no advantages over matte... it'll just always be worse because you literally cannot avoid the reflections **especially** outside.
  17. ... they could also try undervolting? although im not sure that goes beyond the already set low limits, worth a try though i guess.
  18. cinebench isnt a serious test. try firestrike instead ah ok?
  19. yup... topic almost seems like a setup, i mean how do people not know this??
  20. if you have sensitive information on your pc i would recommend to uninstall Helldivers immediately and especially the anti cheat which is a rootkit and HIGH security risk. hope this helps!
  21. it's complete bs, hope that helps! also recommend laying off the twitter if that's the kind of "information" they're providing. good luck .
  22. now remove the shitty rootkit and i might try playing, you mean? (although the game, hd2, doesn't look like much fun to me tbh) But interesting they reversed that "idea" and also kinda take responsibility for it... still odd how they thought this forced ps account bs was acceptable in any way shape or form. ps: as for censorstation games, just play the eu version, ig?
  23. that still leaves the question on why, why now... why only Sony published games (seemingly) we all know there is *no* technical reason for this requirement. so is it to boast sony's psn numbers? most likely. is this extreme scummy behavior? yes. is the dev to blame? probably. they should have at least clarifed this when disabling the requirement *temporarily*. is this illegal and anticompetitive? it almost certainly is [in the EU]
