  1. Probably because they know full well that if they mess up again, then it’s game over for LTT Labs & LTT’s remaining credibility as a review outlet.
  2. My view of LTT hasn’t changed. I’m mainly indifferent to the company, but I’m always aware it’s a large corporation and large corporations are never your friend, no matter how much they try to convince you otherwise. As for Linus, this whole saga changed it negatively for me. Not just of his immature handling of the situation and straight up arrogance at times, but also seeing an (at best creepy & and at worst, straight up racist) tweet that he made in 2020. While he sort of apologised for the billet labs situation, he immediately followed it by going on the defensive and whining over what a few people wrote about LTT on Reddit. This clearly shows he hasn’t matured much either. Oh and the ‘apology’ video Linus put out was nothing short of a piss take with jokey references to sponsors and a f*cking merch plug. Tech YES City’s view on his experiences with Linus in the past was an eye opener as well. I don’t hate Linus or LTT. I think he is an excellent presenter with a lot of experience and knowledge about technology both current and old gen. That being said, I certainly don’t like him much as a person and would actively avoid him in the scenario I come across him at an event/expo.
  3. While the LTT screwdriver may compare favourably to other makes, it’s still 70 USD…. For a freaking screwdriver. I paid 19.99 for a whole 20-piece screwdriver set which also included torx and alan keys. As they aren’t ratcheted, there is zero play in them whatsoever. I’m sure the LTT driver is very good, (it better be at that price) but you’re paying a huge amount more for benefits that are so negligible they’re almost subjective. To take a leaf out of Linus’ book, I’m not going to pay so much more for a product that doesn’t make any sense no matter how good it is.
  4. The WAN show has been confirmed to still be taking place. It will be an interesting watch, but will likely be more of LMG's narcissist-in-chief quadrupling down on his delusion and disregard for ethics and integrity.
  5. I think the jokes about sponsorship were a little too soon. And that 'lttstore.com' quip was not very appropriate considering the context of the video. Also, Linus still acted defensively and didn't address most of the criticism either. Then again, the Madison situation needs to warrant a full investigation if true.
  6. There’s a floatplane video out called ‘what do we do now?’ - since I ain’t paying for a floatplane sub, when will the video be out on YouTube?
  7. Whether I stick around entirely depends on Linus’ next moves
  8. Honestly, even last week I would've instinctively jumped to Linus' defense simply because of how long I've been a subscriber of his. I know he's always been disliked by at least a small group of people, but I never saw him as a bad guy and never looked much into it. This whole situation, however, has woken me up to how much of a terrible person he actually is. This situation could've been avoided had he had not been greedy and egotistical.
  9. The video has only 500k views and it's bombing hard. The community is clearly displeased.
  10. There have been one or two white knights defending Linus but they soon get lost in the sea of replies
  11. It seems like the forum server can't handle all the traffic this situation is bringing. Either that or Linus is restricting access lol.
  12. It was a decent mid-high end card IIRC, so I doubt that was the case.
