  1. Yeah I've also heard good things about the ML360 R apart from the installation is apparently a mare with all the rgb cables etc, but thank you! Thanks, this actually proved quite useful!
  2. The temps on the NH-D15 are great the hottest I get the package temps on the 3900x are 71C on small FFTs in P95, however if there was a clc360 that could cool better allowing it to boost higher I would swap. That's why I was wondering what could do better, I run a lot of simulations so higher compute performance and faster times are a huge benefit
  3. Well I have a NH-D15 at the moment so aesthetics isn't a big deal to me so definitely performance in fact if that's why I like the EVGA 360 aio for the little rgb implementation, however it's a fairly new and untested product which kinda freaks me. That being said not open loop I know that's the best after a water chiller. From some places I've seen a good AIO can be ~10C better than the NH-D15 on peak loads.
  4. Mainly because the amazon reviews seem good, I believe the performance is supposed to be marginally better than the X72 and it's also about £138 here at the moment.
  5. I'm running a fractal design meshify C which just about fits a 360 rad in the front. I'm located in the UK and i'd probably say about £150-£200 max
  6. I've looked at the EVGA ones they're supposedly the best if you don't care so much for noise. I like the NZXT 6 year warranty but I think my preference is the Corsair H150i pro. However, essentially they all use the gen 5/ gen 6 pump from Asutek (or however they're spelt) and the rad comes from somewhere else so the only distinguishing difference is the fans and rgb bling. I was wondering on user experience from others on the forum to their preference and if someone has gone from say a top air cooler like the NH-D15 to a top 360 aio and whether they'd be much of a difference in thermal imrpovemnt on 3rd gen ryzen.
  7. Which would perform better, 280 or a 360 aio (i'm guessing 360), also, any ideas how one would perform compared to a Noctua NH-D15 in peak thermals on a 3900x/ to be 3950x?
  8. Dude I absolutely love the keyboard, I made my father get one too! Regarding the mouse I haven't actually got a new one yet i kept with my old tracknet mouse for the time being. I think i'll look to get a steelseries mouse for continuity.
  9. Gamers Nexus did a review of the cooler using a 1080
  10. This is the GPU you want, it is the best RTX 2080ti: https://www.overclockers.co.uk/kfa2-geforce-rtx-2080-ti-hof-11264mb-gddr6-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-09v-kf.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwrMHsBRCIARIsAFgSeI2yweW6GVcQY-S0EDxeh8xt7cc0Ct-FKI3pSlVlaLRRgvokDHfPbD0aAn7pEALw_wcB
  11. There is thermal pads which contact the aluminium body, supposedly they work very well as the whole cards because a giant heat sink for the VRMS and memory modules
  12. I own the MSI rtx 2080ti Venuts OC and wish to flash either the reference bios which has a power increase of 30 Watts or the KAF2 rtx 2080ti which has a 90 Watt increase on my Ventus. I believe all three use the reference PCB and all are the same A variant GPU die so in theory it should be a easy switch. Has anyone had any experience bios flashing these cards? I am aware it voids warranty and it will run hotter, I may put the following cooler onto it to solve that issue: https://www.scan.co.uk/products/alphacool-eiswolf-240-gpx-pro-nvidia-geforce-rtx-2080-2080-ti-gpu-cooler-black?gclid=Cj0KCQjwrMHsBRCIARIsAFgSeI31_TZ_-NrhtU9dsNOu0isxKuIepIT_AYkONT8OAK8kbp6uvlHP5qEaAjrMEALw_wcB If anyone has used that cooler let me know how it performs.
  13. Just took delivery of the Apex Pro and so far it is a thing of beauty, very happy!
  14. I suppose the caps can be changed in a few years for something more premium if they wear of discolour
  15. Apart from the price and the quality of the ABS plastic used on the keys he gives a solid recommendation. I personally wished they offered a version without the OLED for a little less.
