SchnoppDog got a reaction from Meganter in Upgrading Ryzen-PC
Thank you for your replies. So I guess my current cpu is okayish to handle the games. So the focus is now on a new gpu (aswell as a better psu). I guess I'll figure out later which gpu I am going to choose.
Right now my monitor can only delive 1920x1080, but I think the gpu upgrade should come first anyway.
I kinda guessed that Ryzen 5 3600 is recommended. Luckily I haven't a tight budget so I think later (after a new gpu) it will be the Ryzen 5 3600. I actually wouldn't go with the X-version of it. I mean yes it gives me some stock-MHz more, but I can counter that with overclocking the normal 3600 (also I don't need the stock cooler since I've got one from noctua anyways).
Your replies helped me quite a lot to figure out what to buy first. Thank you very much.

SchnoppDog got a reaction from ImAyaanKhan in New PC low FPS
I doubt that. The Ryzen 5 3600 is a new model like the 5700xt. I have a rig from 1 1/2 years ago with a Ryzen 5 1500x and a 1060 6GB and get 70fps+ on high settings.
I am no expert and I can't help that much but maybe your new drivers are bad? I mean it sometimes happens that newer drivers are performing worse than older ones.
I am assuming you're using Windows 10? Maybe something's wrong with windows itself. Tried updating it? Maybe the Mainboard is at fault, but I don't know exactly.

SchnoppDog got a reaction from IMissMyChildhood in 75hz Freesync vs 144hz NON Freesync
Also a Free- or Gsync monitor isn't that noticeable in performance if you play shooters. I have a ryzen 1500x with a gtx 1060 and I can easily run a 144hz monitor, I'd also prefer the 144hz monitor. The other one would be a waste of precious money.
