Ok, so i got a asus PG279Q on 03/30/2017, when i first got it everything was working fine out of the box, monitor ran at 144hz yadda yadda no problemo whatsoever, 2 days ago i realized the refresh rate was set to 85 while playing HOTS, went to the Nvidia control panel only shows 85hz, windows adapter shows the same thing as well, i tried all the basic troubleshooting, im running the monitor off a GTX 980Ti SC+ EVGA, i tried switching between all the display ports on the card nothing, reinstalling drivers and removed them using DDU, restoring the monitor on default settings, turning off gsync, changing resolutions, since i have 3 monitors i tried just using the ROG one, no luck, i even had amazon overnight a new DP since some of the stuff i read online pointed at a faulty DP cable since im using the one the came on the box, this was the one i ordered: https://www.amazon.com/UGREEN-Cable-DisplayPort-Plated-Version/dp/B00B2HOVK0/ im all out of ideas at this point, i saw someone had a similar issue on the forum but no fix whatsoever, anyone has an idea what else could have happened, i didn't change anything and suddenly im unable to go past 85hz, I dont want to deal with asus customer support. never had to dealt with customer service but the quality is just amazing and they just look so good, when i bought my enthoo luxe the foam was broken but the case was ok

well temperatures do depend on the airflow of your case, i got sli G1 Gaming 970's under load with +100 core and +200 memory the hottest card hits around 75-81 should be fine
