  1. Please use metric system when dealing with computers. You really had us all worried here. 30° on idle is fine.
  2. Start with the first one on the list and move from there.
  3. If you make an iso file and mount it as a virtual DVD it's going to be exactly the same as if you had a physical DVD. Windows 8 can mount iso files out of the box, for windows 7 you can use something like daemon tools
  4. You can find a computer that can read DVDs, make an iso image and mount the image on your computer.
  5. Ummm... Why is the title 'new CPU' if you are going to buy a prebuilt system?
  6. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/2140-linus-tech-tips-forum-code-of-conduct/ Look at the 4.3
  7. 80 is to much on idle. Is the fan pulling air from the cpu heatsink or pushing it through?
  8. Wait until you have a bit more money and get a new cpu/ram/mobo. It's a prettty outdated platform (cpu compatibility, ddr2...), so it might be a good time to switch to something newer.
  9. The smell is usually a very bad sign.
  10. If it also happened on integrated gpu, then your GPU isn't the problem. Try another monitor(or TV or something) and see if it happens again.
  11. You should post all your specs. You'll probably be fine though.
  12. I have a crappy onbard sound so i bought a 30€ xonar dgx. It sounds better and also gets loud enough (i had to have it on 100% volume before all the time). I'm sure an external dac and amp would sound better, but i didn't really want to sped too much money at the time. And you can't get an external amp/dac for 30€.
  13. It will. The clock just goes down when you don't need the extra power. You can always have the game in windowed mode and have cpuZ opened, if you want to be sure.
  14. They recommend 500W, but you don't need that much. If you have a decent quality 500W PSU, you can run that no problem. But if you are going to upgrade in the future, it might not be a bad idea to buy something a bit more powerful. Also, don't get a cheap low quality PSU. A cheap "500W" PSU usually can't deliver 500 watts.
  15. Try stressing your cpu and check the frequency then. CPUs usually lower their clock to save power when idling.
  16. Maybe find a tutorial on PC building or something. You can break something if you don't build your PC properly. And yes, you have to plug that one in. Or at least the 4 pin.
  17. What PSU do you have? Check the power on your 12V rail. If it's over 543 you should be fine. If it's less, you will probably have problems. Keep in mind that low quality PSUs usually can't deliver the wattage advertised. I would recommend getting new PSU, just to be safe.
  18. Well, my dad knows quite a bit about computers, he has been building them for a lot longer than me. Not gaming computers though.
  19. Laptop for school, desktop for gaming. Also laptop for some light gaming when i am bored in school
  20. Overclocking the 8320 is not difficult and you get the performance of an 8350. You pay less for the processor and get the same performance. It would be stupid not to overclock.
