  1. Hi guys, I've just spotted this on an amazon prime page in the UK and wanted to check if it was legit or being too your attention if needed just incase the video is being used without permissions. Sorry in advance if this is in the wrong section
  2. I need to actually take the car out for a good run. She normally only does short trips of say 20 mins on motorway per day at the moment. Meanwhile there's me who can do 700 miles in a day
  3. Yep, so some smart cookie decided to fix ford's little indiscretion and they made a conversion kit to take it from a wet belt in the sump back to a chain, which not many mechanics know about but this guy based in Barnsley gets a lot of business out of fitting or replacing engines that have broken down as a result of it. Should last as long as the life of the engine. I believe the car was at 127k when the engine was replaced and I'm approaching about 160k now after about 2 years. I wasn't sure on what car to get but my mam had forked out nearly 10k on her 1.6tdci when she got it! I really do love my MK4, I really do hope to be keeping it as long as I can I have a tenancy to try and make things last. I was having a look at buying a 2.0TDCI Kuga Vignale as an upgrade at one point as well.
  4. Thanks for the advice, I'm still a bit unsure. I've had a 27" monitor for a long while now thought maybe thebl 34" might be a fun upgrade for immersive gaming experience and productivity. But then there's also something about the 27" that feels like it's calling out to me
  5. Yep haha I knew the service interval at 120k but for some reason my brain ticket me into thinking it was 130k. It's my first car to be honest and I got to 127k with it before it snapped. The infamous cheeseman replaced the engine like for like but with the upgraded timing chain kit installed. He said had I found him sooner it would have cost £600 for the chain conversion. I also asked if the clutch needed doing whilst the engine was out, we agree'd nope and then it went a month later! Finally I got rear ended in an accident which wrote the car off despite it being OK, but the slave cylinder on the new clutch burst and had to be replaced again under warranty!
  6. I don't have any photos to hand but I'm in the UK. I have a bog standard Ford Mondeo Titanium X with a 1.8tdci engine. She's a pain in the ass... But she's my pain in the ass They had a rubber belt inside the engine which I mistook the service interval on after I bought the car. Belt snapped engine replaces and now about 30,000 miles in she's not too bad. I also have 2x Suzuki Bandit GSF600S & Y motorcycles. One red and one blue, red one is... Working. Blue one is going off with the mechanic soon to be rebuilt.
  7. Hello again, This is my 2nd post in a short space of time having a look for a new monitor. Basically I've been rocking a BenQ xl2720z for the past 7 years until I got home after a long trip and it was randomly broken. So anyway after having another topic over 4k monitors I was advised at this level it's probably best just sticking into the 1440p range hence I'd eventually arrived at the MAG274QRF-QD just by looking at recommendations. It did end off being a little more than I was hoping for but then the website very.co.uk here in the UK is offering 20% off bringing this down to around £320. Just after thinking I was done I came across the MAG342CQRV which is an ultra wide 3440x1440 21:9 monitor as opposed to the 16:9 of the 27" monitor I'd already found. The ultra wide is looking at around £352 in price. Now, I'm more of a casual gamer when I get the chance, I've only got a 970 at the moment because I refuse to pay the outrageous prices for GPU's at the moment. Besides that I actually do use my home monitor as a 2nd display for my work laptop which isn't too much typing mainly phone calls etc nothing colour critical essentially. I'll list the specs of the two displays below but essentially just want to know what you guys would recommend. Thanks for the help in advance again ULTRAWIDE PANEL SIZE 34" (86.36 cm) 3440x1440 REFRESH RATE 100Hz RESPONSE TIME 1ms(MPRT) PANEL TYPE VA BRIGHTNESS (NITS) 250 ASPECT RATIO 21:9 CURVATURE 1500R CONTRAST RATIO 3000:1 PIXEL PITCH (H X V) 0.23175(H) x 0.23175 (V) SURFACE TREATMENT Anti-glare DISPLAY COLORS 16.7M DCI-P3 / SRGB 89.48% / 112.2% VIDEO PORTS 1x DP (1.2) 1x HDMI (2.0) 1x HDMI (1.4) AUDIO PORTS 1 x Earphone out DYNAMIC REFRESH RATE TECHNOLOGY Adaptive-Sync DCR 100000000:1 27" MODEL PANEL SIZE 27" (69cm) PANEL RESOLUTION 2560 x 1440 (WQHD) REFRESH RATE 165Hz RESPONSE TIME 1ms GTG PANEL TYPE Rapid IPS BRIGHTNESS (NITS) 300 nits VIEWING ANGLE 178° (H) / 178° (V) ASPECT RATIO 16:9 CONTRAST RATIO 1000:1 DISPLAY COLORS 1.07B (8bits + FRC) DCI-P3 / SRGB 97% / 147% VIDEO PORTS 1x Display Port (1.2a) 2x HDMI (2.0b) 1x Type C (DP alt.) 8. That's fair, thank you for the help so far and I would have just taken some screenshot of the two monitors for comparison. I'll list then in a separate post and see where I get
  9. Sorry yeah complete brain fart at the moment as I'm unwell. So I've come down to a couple new options on that front. First of all I've decided I'm obviously going to have to spend a little more to get something decent and since my last monitor has lasted about 7 years before dying I'm likely to get my moneys worth. Anyway I've come across the MSI MAG274QRF-QD or alternatively the MSI Optix MAG342CQRV which is a 21:9 3440x1440 it's not too much more so it would be out of the question to go for. The 27" is listed at £400 and the 34" at £440 but I've got a 20% off voucher to use for either of them.
  10. Thanks thats actually reasonable. To be honest I can play some games on 4k. Because of the monitor dying I've moved it next door to my LGC1 Oled TV and the 4k scaling is a hot mess. To be honest I'm not playing as much as I want to these days. I did want to go on star citizen in the future and cyberpunk was a broken mess for me that I couldn't get a refund on. I'm currently only using a GTX970 from MSI as such I'm sticking to casual stuff GTX970 like Minecraft. I'll have a further look at the 1440 range then, also IPS vs VA panel? Im sure the xl2720 was a VA panel but colours at the time it was released Definetly weren't a massive strong suit
  11. Acer Nitro VG280Kbmiipx could be an option? It's only 60 Hz but decently priced. Likewise there's the Samsung attached in this image
  12. I have found a couple offerings and I mena they are about £200 which may not be cheap cheap but they are considering things like the £700 plus models
  13. Further to this. My GPU most Definetly cannot handle full 4k gaming at high resultion. I will likely be upscaling everything for the next 2 decades until the price of GPU's come back down or I win the lottery. :B
  14. So unfortunately my monitor recently broke. I was using a 27" BenQ 1080p 144Hz that I'd our chased about 7 years ago now. I actually don't play competitive anymore so 144Hz isn't exactly really a requirement. I would like to upgrade to something 4k HDR if possible but want to keep it relatively cheap and I'll be using the monitor for work as well as an extra screen with my laptop. Any help is greatly appreciated.
  15. That was my original though, i mean I go to ebay all the time for the cheap Chinese knock off stuff of cheap cables and gadgets. Based off of the reviews for the Omar it has a rating of 4.1/5 but half the reviews look fake and only 60% of the reviews are 5 star. In the other hand Ravpower has 90% 5 star reviews, nothing dodgy looking and same number of total reviews as the Omar. At this point I know the Ravpower is twice the price I think im just trying to find a way to justify it
