  1. My PC is almost identical to yours, just that i have a 3500X Ryzen. A few months ago i was having driver timeouts like you, then it stopped for a while and started having black screens in games for a few seconds. All that came to mind was the usual like updating drivers updating windows DDU'ing bla bla bla but nothing worked 100%, so as a last resort i just removed the card, cleaned the PCI connector, cleaned the fans, my motheboard, reseated everything, and haven't had any problems since, though im not sure what was the actual cause
  2. DP for the new 1440p one, HDMI for the old 1080p one (the old one only has 1 HDMI port)
  3. So i just bought a new 1440p 144Hz ASUS monitor, and so far it's been great, along with my RX580 i can play DOOM 2016 at like 120fps and such. The problem arises when i setup my old (1080p 60Hz) alongside the new one, and since then, the new monitor is stuck at 100Hz, even if i change it to 144Hz if i leave the menu it just goes back to 100Hz. Now, after disconnecting my old monitor, i can use 144Hz no problem, so my question is, is my GPU too weak to handle both at their "max"? what card would be able to? New monitor: ASUS TUF Gaming VG27WQ1B Old monitor: Samsung T24C301 GPU: Sapphire RX580 4GB
  4. i guess the 8 gigs will have do for the time being, thanks guys
  5. i dont have a lot of options, im getting the Ryzen for a mere 85 dollars (ish) with the mobo included, which is very good considering that a 2200g just by itself retails for 130 around here the cheapest b350 would cost me more than the 1300X+A320 setup
  6. Im doing it primarily because im moving from AM3 to AM4, so im forced to change my ram, i plan to get another 8 gigs to make it 16 but i dont know how long it'll be until that
  7. from: Phenom 2 x4 965 ASUS M4A785T-M 2x2GB+2x4GB (i know its kind of janky but it was a gift so..) to: Ryzen 3 1300X ASUS A230M-K 1x8GB (though i plan to add another 8 in the near future)
  8. Im moving from 12GB of 1333MHz DDR3, to 8GB of 3000MHz DDR4 Will it be better? Worse? The same?
  9. Thanks, i guess i'll just stick to my a320m-k for the time being
  10. So, say for a budget build, going for a more expensive mobo would be unnecessary?
  11. Why? Whats the difference, and why would a 500 dollar mobo be better than a 100 dollar one?
  12. While i know the basics about networking, i would like to learn more, but from a reliable source, so any pointers would be very appreciated. If its free material, even better
  13. If it has happened before, and reseating it works, it may just be that the mobo died, is it old? do you have more PCIE ports to try it on? maybe on another computer? Mainly to figure out if the GPU is still good
  14. a bit late but it seems like im better off simply replacing the 60GB one and saving it just in case, thanks everybody
  15. Im thinking the same thing, and also, is this the first time you're trying to reset it?
  16. So, right now i have 2 drives, the first is an Intel 60GB SSD (only used for the OS), and a 1TB HDD since the Intel SSD barely has any space for Windows, im planning to get a 240GB SSD, to replace my old 60GB one so my question is, can i add the 240GB SSD and use RAID 0 to get 300GBs total for the OS? i understand the risks, but only having only my OS in the SSDs, i dont worry about it, but i dont know i you can just add more space without formatting the drives first or something alike
  17. Have you tried reseating the GPU? is the GPU connected to the PSU? i remember mi old GTS 250 having video signal but now working properly
  18. Already bought the i5, though i can't find a single 1150 motherboard, not a single one, either used or new
  19. Ryzen 1600 goes for 180 USD, i just forgot about the idea of buying new components a while ago
  20. Those prices i mentioned are not the prices from release date, those are current ones. Ryzens or 8th gen intel are just totally out of my budget
  21. Try to check the other replies, i got the RX for real cheap, the i5 is really cheap too No motherboard sadly, i'll have to get a used one for 60-70 USD
  22. Well, the 4570 used to retail for the low low price of 246 USD around here, but having rich people that just want to get rid of their old stuff is my chance to get them real cheap
  23. Thanks for the replies guys, with the usual prices in this country, i'll just take what i can
