I have the EVGA SuperNova G2 power supply and it's amazing, never had any problems with it and I can't hear any noises from it at all. So that's my recommendation to you!

Why don't you just save up for a 144hz 1440p monitor? There's a huge difference between 1080p and 1440p IMO. I'm a fairly decent CS:GO player my self with hundreds of hours invested in the game, and having a resolution of x*1440p is definitely an advantage.

Same story here in Norway, especially when it comes to computer parts.. The pricing for the GTX 1080 (founders edition) will be 7,599 NOK which is equal to $912 usd. I might just SLI my current 980 Ti instead if I can find a cheap used one.

I recently restored my dekstop because of some issues. I'm now experiencing some bad stuttering (freeze for a second) every 10-ish second, and it's starting to get very annoying. My system specifications are listed on my profile, and I'm running this game at very high FPS. (Runescape). Is there anything I can do in order to fix this? It was working fine until I restored it. I have also updated all of my drivers (except BIOS because it looks so complicated).

I press the windows button, it didn't go black before, so why now? Before it instantly went out/in again. Nor did the Skype thing either.

Good evening, I'm having some one minor issue, and one big issue that happens during playing any video game. #1 When minimizing games, I get a black screen for approximately three seconds, this happens either I'm opening/closing the game. This didn't happen before, but it suddenly began doing so. #2 When someone calls me/adds another person/hangs up on a current call - the game minimizes.. Which is REALLY annoying, because I talk with a lot of friends while playing games. This is especially annoying when I'm playing CS:GO, on top of it, I get the three second delay when entering the game again. Who ever can try to help me solve these problems will be awarded an homemade cookie.

I had some coil whine from my PSU, but now it's the graphics card. I doubt it's too much power usage, I have an EVGA 750W G2 (Gold 80+) - hope I got that correct. Intel i7-4790K @ 4,8GHz GTX 970 These are the main factors that uses most of the power, and I'm thinking it isn't even near 750W?

Hey, I installed some new fans for my radiator today, and I had to remove my graphics card to get some space for my screwdriver. I plugged it back in once I was done, and after some hours of playing CS:GO, I suddenly get this VERY loud coil whine. I'm sure it's from my grapics card, because if I close the game, it stops - if I open it, it starts immediately. I know coil whine's are pretty common nowadays, but can it be my fault? Power connector wrong way etc? I have never had this problem before, and was so happy with it. It seriously sounds like it's going to blow up. Graphics card: Strix GTX 970

I'm Gold Nova III and I play with my friends who are all Master Guardian II. If you want to join, then feel free to message me.
-
Yeah, but I think it's weird because it was two different packages, what's the odds of that?
-
It is the SP 120 MM fans I used, designed for radiators. Noctua NF-F12 PWM Premium <-- I've ordered these, they will arrive in 2-3 days, I will get back to you then with some feedback.

Ok guys. I unscrewed both the fans attached to my Corsair H100i and when I tapped on the back of them, I heard the same sound! I had an unopened fan laying, and I heard the same sound when tapping on the back of it. At first, they didn't make the sound after I unscrewed them and then put them back on. But after and hour or two, the noise is back again - and a bit worse! I have tried to loosen the screws, tight them hard, medium etc. Nothing works! Should I just equip the normal fans that came with the cooler? Because this sounds like a problem that is caused by the manufacturer, because when I tap on the back of the fans, I hear the sound you hear in the sound clip I uploaded. Any further things I should try before going over to the standard fans? This was very disappointing since I paid a lot of cash for these "premium" fans.

Hey everyone and thank you for all the answers! It can't be dust because my PC is brand new. When I gently tap on the top of my PC, it makes it sound like it's the left fan. I will try to take it out / replace it tomorrow - luckily I have another fan here because I bought 1 extra. As for the PSU, it's an EVGA SuperNova 80+ Gold certified. I can try powering my PC from another source, and see if that helps.

Hey, I have an Corsair H100i cooler with Corsair AF120 Low Noise fan's mounted on it. I recorded the sound, which you can clearly hear. Also my PSU is making a buzzing noise, should I be worried? You can hear it here; http://vocaroo.com/i/s1wmhhkEuSXM I uploaded it to this webpage, hope it worked. Anyone else experience this sound?
-
Yes, they can. I agree to that. For my personal experience and many of my friends; we found it doing the computer worse, it was slower boot and other things that really got me annoyed by it - and that is also why I chose to say that it does more harm than any good.
