  1. I had thought about that too, but with how they are pushing everything back on accord of this pandemic, I am curious if we will have major releases this year...
  2. Thank you for the input, yeah I like to prefer performance rather than making the game pretty. BF5 for example is a really pretty game even with dumbed down settings with a couple texture qualities raised high. I don't know why but GTA 5 I am having some pretty low settings even after looking at better FPS guides. Regardless, more frames for the future is what I would be after.
  3. Another option which actually saves me money, would be to buy a 1600 AF to toss in my current system to sell that instead of selling the 8 core 2700. Just wonder how badly that would affect what I could sell my system for. Hoping to sell it used for around $1000 USD? Am I crazy?
  4. Hey All, Well, I am tossing around the idea of selling my current set up, and building in the NZXT H1. I recently built my system (check signature for specs) back in summer of 2019 and well, the bug bit me lol. I want to build another! I am tossing around the idea of building in the NZXT H1, love the look, like the ITX idea and would love to get a bit of desk real-estate back. Other option is the Phantec Evolv Shift (air maybe), but I would likely end up spending more after finding a PSU, buying a Noctua LP air cooler and have the cords coming out the top of the case which stylistically to me isn't as clean as the NZXT case I am thinking something like this below? I am more focused on getting more frames in demanding games like BF5 and more games to come. I have a 1440p / 144hz monitor and I want to be as close to 144hz as possible in most any game. Here is a mock build of what I would piece together. I would be transferring over my 2 drives, so any mobo recommendation would necessitate 2 M.2 slots. Chose this ram as it is LP ram and 3200mhz as the only kits I could find with good CL is way to high priced lol. Chose this GPU as it would fit in the case, has good reviews from what I have seen and 2080ti because nothing better! NZXT H1 black version for $350 plus all the below chosen items... 5. Its caused by GPU weight. Normally bigger, heavier longer cards have more sag. Most people do nothing about it. I haven't done anything and mine doesn't sag too much, but it ain't straight.
  6. One back plate/PCB could provide more stiffness or the mounting screws at the back could be tighter. Could be a few things. As its a 5700 XT, I would say it might not be built as thick or beefy as the 2080 super might be. Regardless, hes got sag and his system is currently working. Your Mount to help lift it looks fine lol. Build a cool little lego tower bud!
  7. I went the Corsair and RGB route as well, and this is my first lol. Next time around I am thinking NO RGB! and Mini ITX. Going lean and mean with less wires to worry about. With the RGB on this system if I went air cooled and non rgb, I probably could have gone with a 2080/2080 super instead... Live and learn.
  8. Seems you like RGB and are using Corsair, check this site out. My buddy got a back plate for his 1070ti and its quite nice (they also make RGB and what not GPU support brackets). Plug and play for iCue as well. His did take some time to get delivered I think. Something like 2 weeks? I am thinking of one for my system too since I have a fat 2.75 slot cooler 2070...
  9. I am no monitor genius, but I LOVE this monitor (Viotek GFT27DB). It has been good to me, and while the mounting mechanism out of the box is poo, a VESA mount makes it well worth it. 1440p, 144hz, clean crisp visuals. Check this video for a review of someone who knows what they are talking about (at least more than me lol!), but you are in the US, and its Prime! This monitor I guess is only sold in the US, but it is a beautiful unit my friend. I recommend 100%! Mine came with no issues, and still has no issues, think I have had it for about 4 months now? I use it to game on BF5, Overwatch, and GTA 5 from time to time. It gets a lot of play time with BF5. G-Sync works now too since this is a freesync monitor and I can attest to no issues enabling G-Sync on this monitor. Good luck picking mate!
  10. Just had my mx500 fail on me in sub 8 months. Read reviews on amazon and other sellers, its a semi common issue. Most of the 1 star reviews on Amazon are of it failing in say under 6 months. 8% of all amazon reviews of the mx500 (m.2 form factor as mine was) are 1 star reviews. So far and away from a boat load of bad reviews, but I added my own self to the failed within a half year or so. And I just used it as a gaming drive. Started with me having to re-seat it to get it to work, ended with the red light staying on and no longer showing up in bios or in windows. Now have a Samsung 860 EVO for almost what I paid for that drive new. Check the Samsung 860 evo to see if its on sale still.
  11. Ordered a Samsung 860 evo 1tb m.2 today on amazon for 120 usd. My Crucial MX500 1tb m.2 failed on me after under 8 months. It fell victim to intermittent communication issues with the system (seems to be a somewhat common issue) which required it to be re-seated every time it stopped talking properly. Only way crucial would help me out was an RMA, and their way meant they would need to receive the drive, check it out, then send me another if it met their requirements... not about ready to sit out for a month for them to gander at a broken part. Bit the bullet and got a better one. Seems it was on sale too, so I guess silver linings? This is my mass storage drive, for all my games and whatever else for school or what not. So no gaming till Sunday late at the earliest but more like money. Gotta re download over 300gbs or games. Darn you crucial lmao!
  12. I wonder if they advised it that way as the intercooler would help keep IATs lower. Yes of course the down pipe is still a restriction, but I wonder if keeping IATs lower helps with the tuning and making the tuning itself easier (as aggressive as they can without harming the engine). Like when you are really running the car hard IATs will rise and you will lose power compared to the down pipe where as heat rises you won’t lose power? Just a guess.
  13. Yeah the wranglers have a good look. That year is leaf spring front end? I was leaning hard on the xj for the coil spring front end. The 2.5 is a good little engine! I am a fan of the 4.0 for being an inline 6, the sound and the bulletproof, nuke withstanding reliability lol
  14. What motor? I assume 4.0? Manual or auto? I wanna get an xj, hoping for a 90s with manual and 4.0 4 door. If I could find the holy grail I’d get a 96, manual, 4 door, and 4.0, but I probably have more luck getting struck by lifting for that year/spec. Color doesn’t matter, I like em all. Prefer red, green, or white though.

  16. Being a corsair cooler can you download iCue and see the pump speed?
  17. Yeah mine (also 2700) is stable at 3.9 ghz at 1.35v. Going to 4 ghz took me to 1.4v and I just felt that much extra juice wasn't that important for for the extra 100mhz. I run this daily, have been since I built my system in August I wanna say... NO issues at all.
  18. Check out Corsair QL fans. Seem to have dual sided RGB. Pricey as heck though. I believe the QL fans are beefed up LL RGB numbers, but on the ML bearing style. So quiet like the ML fans, but more RGB than even the LL fans.
  19. Got my car back from the VW dealer. They fixed the leaking pano roof issue. Was more of a seep/damp spot but I caught it early to have it fixed asap. They had it for about a week and repaved the drain valves and cleaned the headliner pretty well. All under CPO TDI warranty of course. Gotta get my monies worth of that 2 year, unlimited mile warranty! I need to replace a bad break light bulb and new wiper blades and shell be ready for the rainier season in my part of Cali. Supposed to get snow on Christmas in my area, so I wanna have my lights and wiper blades in order for that. Going tomorrow after I get off work. Thank goodness for a work bonus I was not expecting lol.
  20. Lol if you wanna drop me 10k more to buy the r I would be tempted. Especially for a car that’s gonna be getting 35-40k mikes a year, the r is a terrible choice, and the Miata is too small for a daily of someone my size and a solo car for someone who lives rural. The stick shift was a maybe and the more I look at it the auto is a better option since the auto has adaptive cruise control and slow follow.
  21. I mean most modern engines with good oil changes and maintenance can/will make it to 300k miles without any major issues. It is the lack of proper maintenance most times that kills cars, or fixing easy things. Rarely will a rod be thrown from a block, sensors here or there, plugs and such is all regular wear items on cars. Now how long certain brands sensors last is another story all together lol. Hoping my next car is this... Would make commuting more fun and be cheaper to maintain lol. Plus more tech than what I have now looking at hopefully mid year 2020 to switch over if the pieces fall together like they should! 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback Sport Touring in Sonic Grey Pearl. That color should do well with the dirt roads I live down lol.
  22. I have a mk7 golf wagon tdi. It’s not a bad car by any means. Not amazing either. Fun little car but it has its weak points. You could look at the Jetta Sportwagen. It is larger, still gets good mpg. Or the 2015 golf Sportwagen. I average 39-40 with a plethora of hills. Flat our highway doing 80 I get 42-43 hand calculated. The passat diesels get about the same with larger interiors. Maybe lose 1 or 2 points or mpg overall. That being said, cost of maintenance on a vw is higher than say a Honda or Toyota. They get decent mpg too, and cheaper cost of ownership means they generally come out on top for cost of investment and upkeep even with slightly lower mpg. I will hopefully be getting a 10th Gen civic si here in the next half year or so.
  23. The more you know thanks for that tid bit my friend. Yeah mine had the M52B28 in my 98 328i. Dang good little motor. Smooth! Got 30-31 mpg doing 80-85 mph road tripping here state side.
  24. Mine was the 4 door. Also the American version so you got a better engine in yours. Mine had single vanos, while I am pretty sure yours has two. Look into e36 m3 rear diffs. They also have a limited slip and a shorter gear ratio. From what I read plug and play but also stronger to handle the extra power. I wish they put a 6 speed in them, but the 5 speed is a solid box. Same one they use in the e36 m3 so you know it’s a beef cake. The 6 speed would shorten the gears a tad though, and they are LONG on the e36 manuals lol. 3rd year has you doing 95mph at redline. First was almost 40!
  25. I remember my e36 ahh simpler times lol. That 328i 5 speed was such a solid car smooth, good performance, cheap, and reliable. Decent mileage too for what it was.
