  1. You can use transparent LCD screens.
  2. AMD6950 AMD6970 AMD6970 Crossfire GTX670 GTX770 (moved to media pc) AMD290X (moved to another pc and sold) GTX970 (sold) GTX980TI (2 duds, gave up and returned for good) GTX770 Sli (back from media pc) Now there is something wrong with the fan bearings on the gpu; super loud. Looking at 1080ti or volta/vega as a possible upgrade.
  3. Hands down, Maggie 1.6QR's, that is, if you have room that would suit them. If that is not the case, then Monitor Audio RX8's.
  4. I'm glad that you had such a wonderful experience with Corsair! I'm not risking another unit with coil whine though. My fragile ears can't take the coil while any longer. Yes, I came upon the EVGA 1200 P2. I'm considering it now, and a couple friends of mine are also recommending it. It will most likely be my next (and hopefully last) psu for a long long while.
  5. I don't know.. going through two of their psu's makes me have second thoughts. I just want to have a nice, quiet psu, which Corsair can't provide. And I would like to not wait to receive a new unit through mail. I'm still using the corsair unit with it's coil whine for now while I look around for a new psu, and will be saying <goodbye forever> to it soon enough.
  6. Okies, so I realize how the title of this post could be confusing. So, here comes my story: A couple months ago, I bought a Corsair ax1200i, and lost the receipt. (A friend told me that I didn't need the receipt to have warranty for corsair, since apparently, they're a good company that way or something) So, believing him, I went along my way. A week ago, the psu started having some really bad coil whine. When reaching out to Corsair for RMA, they said that they needed the receipt and couldn't process the RMA. (OK, it was my fault for losing the receipt, fine.) I decided to swallow the loss, and bought another AX1200i today, but alas, this unit also has really bad coil whine. I'll be returning it tomorrow. I decided that I would never go back to Corsair for their PSU's. So, as an individual in the market for another psu, which ones would you guys recommend? I don't really need 1200W, I just wanted to have so much, the psu fan wouldn't run, and it would be silent. But, I will need at least 850w. I would like to have the <fan not spinning> mode for the psu, but it isn't required. Thanks!
  7. Z2 has an ips screen! TN shouldn't ever be used on a phone. dbrand skin looks awesome. Really. The sponsorship is awesome too.
  8. So, for a free beta key for Archeage, you can sign up at [www.tenhonhammer.com/giveaways/archeage-closed-beta-event-2-key-giveaway] and get a free key through the site. It'll ask you to link your fb or make an account with gleem or something (that's what I did with a junk email that I have.. haha), and you can get your key. I'm not sure if there are any left, but try! Basically. You just login/signup, follow the short instructions, and get a code. copy/paste it into the provided link on the site to reddem it. Ah, btw. If you get a message (after you got your key) that the key was redeemed already, it's because you already activated it. Just install glyph by clicking on the button on the top and install archage from there. Glyph is similar to downloading battle.net to play hearthstone/diablo3/sc2. You just install it, and then use the client to download Archeage (It's 22 gb...). Best of luck!
  9. Well, if it's not too late, I think that the Samsung s27b970D is a good choice! It's on sale at NCIX right now for 599... it's right at the tip of your budget. http://www.ncix.com/detail/samsung-series-9-high-res-ce-77747-1031.htm But yeah, just a suggestion. +1 to Dell 2713hm as well, if you don't like the samsung suggestion.
  10. Just another quick question then, do reds actuate when you bottom them out or do they actuate somewhere in the middle?
  11. Hey, just a quick question. I've been really looking at the new Corsair k95 that's coming out this coming fall, and there are conflicting rumours of it being only in cherry mx reds, or along with browns. Currently, my keyboard has cherry mx browns, (Ducky shine 3), but considering the switch since the absence of macros in my current keyboard is really annoying to deal with. Anyway, pertaining to the question posed by the topic, is there any difference between cherry mx reds and browns, considering that I bottom out every key anyway? I know that they have around the same weight, except that browns have tactile feedback. However, is tactile feedback that important if I bottom out every key anyway? And yes.. that's my question. Thanks for reading.. and answering! (If you do)
