maybe. I do see how FireFox on Ubuntu might be slightly overlooked. It has only happen once before, but next time I see it I might see if Brave has the same problem.

You should check Chrome and see if the problem exists. if it exists, then is probably an issue with the Browser and Kernel layer.

Hey guys, I have the laptop listed below, and I know it’s not much to go on but I’m wondering if someone can tell me if any old SATA SSD can replace the SSD in it or do I need a special one? All I know is that it’s an MSI GS72 Stealth Pro but the SSD that came with it when I bought it back in August 2016 is starting to fill up and slow down (it’s only 500GB) and I want to replace it with a 2TB SSD but I don’t know if one, like say an 860 EVO, will fit in this laptop? I’d really love an NVMe SSD but I’m pretty sure that one of those isn’t compatible but how about a SATA SSD? Or do I need to buy one straight from MSI?

Sorry this question is a bit rambly but please if anyone can help I would appreciate it. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I’ll answer the best I can.

    Thanks!

Any 2.5-Inch ssd should be able to fit to my knowledge in a normal laptop.

Would I need to transfer the windows license to the drive and how would I go about installing Windows 10 on the drive. This is not something I have ever done or researched in great detail

Windows should detect that your CPU and RAM are the same, and should be able to transfer the license.

Were you signed into your microsoft account on your computer?

    Good Afternoon,

The past few months with nothing much to do I have been gaming a lot more on my 4 year old Laptop. Recently I have been getting many BSOD's while playing and after running some tests it appears that my hard drive is the cause. This isn't a big surprise to me as it was originally also my school computer and so I lugged it to school and back resulting in it getting jostled around more than it probably should have. Now I don't have the money for a new system and the one I have is powerful enough for most any game that I fancy. I would prefer to spend as little as I can within reason but am wondering if I bought myself and external SSD online is there a way to just transfer all my data and games over as well as windows so that I don't have to worry about the drive failing anymore, or do I need to pay someone to put in and internal SSD?

    Thanks in Advance

    Current System Specs:

    CPU: i7-6700HQ @2.60GHz

    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M

    RAM: 16 GBs DDR4

Storage: 2 TB Hard Drive (Dying)

Recovery Drive (I believe it to be fine but would want to put on an SSD with all my games for faster boots)

You should be able to do so if the drive still responds. And you should be able to boot from it too!

    Hi All,

This is probably a really stupidily easy question to answer, but I have spent about a combined 8 hours getting the OpenVPN server to run on a VM in FreeNAS.

I finally have it up and running, network wide VPN.  Great.

Except, the only thing running through it is another VM Ubuntu, and that shows an IP address that is not my IP address...so I know it is working.

Anyone helpfully explain how I get all of my devices to run through the VPN server?  It has a static IP address and I thought turning my router towards it would be the answer, but all that does is kill my ability to access any websites.

    Thanks in advance!

Is there a gui for you to access or something. If not, in the Docs, there should be info on getting .ovpn files for your devices.

You might have to open a port on the VM i believe so!
