I'd highly recommend the Pixel lineup. If you get a cheap (even refurbished, used, idk) Pixel 3 or 3a, that's a phone with at least 2 more years of major android version updates, good battery life, fast, no bloatware, etc.

Alternatively, maybe an old OnePlus? -- older Samsung phones rarely have the latest android version.

But you could flask a custom rom! Like Lineage.

Besides my server and my gaming box every device I and my family use is from Apple. Now Ill start a new job where I need an android only app to make appointments etc.
Therefore I am looking for a cheap but reliable and reasonable secure android. The app is used for expense tracing, hour tracking and stuff like that. So nothing special.

Main points I am looking for:

    - Buying in the EU

    - Cheap

    - Reasonable battery

    - Up to date android would be preferred

    - Nothing to funky since ill be using this in front of and with customers

    Thanks boiiiiiis and gaaaaals!

I checked my carriers website and this is the cheapest android phone they have that I think is pretty good.

    Motorola moto e⁶ - 16gb

So i am planning on getting the Iphone Xs Second hand but i have never gotten a second hand phone. So i want to know what are the things i need to checkni knoe a few of them but i need ti know as much as i can just in case.

Make sure it is not Find My Locked. Could be locked because it might be stolen or the owner doesn't know tech well

Make sure it is Factory Reset If not, then get it factory reset or you could send the owner a video of how to do it.

Make sure it is not locked by a carrier. Could be locked because: not fully paid or if it is stolen.

I personally would not buy a second hand phone, but invest a bit more money into a new one. Some carriers have good deals for those phones going on.

    Hi guys.

I want to make an online catalog of some various products that I offer for sale, and because I don't know any advanced HTML (enough to make it look semi decent), I was researching various website builders that I could use to create a professional looking website. I don't need any payment functionality, as it will simply be perhaps half a dozen webpages linked together with various details about my products, warranty policy, etc.

I know Wix sponsors everyone, but in order to do that, they must be making a lot of money from their users in order to afford so many sponsorships. I'm not looking for something paid at the moment, just something that I can use, download the resulting HTML code, and then I will host it somehow. (Any good, cheap webhosts for simple websites of text and a few images?)

    Any ideas? Thanks.

You don't need to know advanced HTML, just need to know good CSS.

You could try something like wordpress to html.

If you want, if you know HTML classes and everything, then using the Bootstrap CSS Framework or any other CSS framework could really benefit you.

I myself am I web developer, so I'd be happy to answer as many questions as you can think of. lol

It is showing me VIRUS, YES I have downloaded it from the Official site!

Check for yourself! https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client#close and then select the free version. This is so sketchy!

Their own website sharing malicious software, jeez.

I ran it thru virus total, and the community there seems concrned as well:

My Bitdefender immideatily deleted it, so I checked. How do....recommend me somehing else. (Which doesn't have a virus)

No idea why. I use filezilla all the time as a FTP client. I use it on a Mac, and no issues.

the profile comes from an MDM called mosyle manager, the named of the programs are just hard listed. As in its a list of programs that are blocked from running even if they arent installed, i dont think it dynamically changes. Ive looked in all the profile area's that are for profiles in a recovery mode so i have full root access and i still cannot find them heres an couple pictures of just one of the profiles.

Hi, I know this is a weird question but i need to change a program name to something else, i just want to know if this is possible, for example, org.terraria is blocked by some profile thingy on my mac, I was wondering if there is any way to change this or just get rid of the mac profile all together. Its an old MDM profile that is no longer used and i have no clue how to remove it.

    Thank you,

If you rename it, I think it still be visible to the profile thing. Why not investigate where the profile comes from?

    What does that involve.

You have one satellite on top of the internet roof, then many more pointing to the rest of the barns. You can achieve great distance and be wire free!

I've seen the other phones in the range (galaxy a 21, a11, etc., lg g series, and so on), and the iPhone SE has stood out to me. It seems like it has a better camera, better internals, than similarly priced competitors. I'm mostly fine with it having a lousy battery since I'm used to similar. Are there any ones better for the price, and if so, which? Thanks in advance.

If you want to get it, get it for a deal. Some places are selling it lower than $400!

After having some problems with the valorant anti cheat, I decided to uninstall and reinstall windows, and after numerous problems, I finally reformatted the drives and started from scratch.  Windows won't install, I reformat the disks time and time again, change bios settings, revert bios settings, and sometimes get further than other times, but no matter what happens, I either get a mbr or gpt error when trying to install.  Once I format the drives to whatever type of drive it wants to be at that point it just fails while "getting files ready for installation". Every single time.  Anyone have any suggestions?

I use to get that issue when my hard drive was about to be dead.

    Hey all,

I am looking to get a vpn app that runs on Android and PC. PIA is a big no since the government managed to block their entire website and their app won't even start. Btw, they are the only VPN provider that is completely locked and can only access their site via another VPN. Or maybe the pia bastards don't care about us IDK.

I looked at surfshark, they have pretty positive reviews but their marketing and website is very scammy and the fact that nobody knows who those people are scares me.

Internet access is being monitored here (north Africa) and the only free and safe way i found is tor but it is horribly slow.

I am willing to pay maybe 25 usd for a year and I don't mind paying 50 for 2 years or whatever for at least 5 users. But i simply can't afford more than that.

    What do you guys recommend?

    You could try Proton VPN.

I don't do that myself, but is the free tier actually unlimited? Like no caps on anything?

It is! Includes United States, Japan and Netherlands severs. Unlimited data. Each country has 3 servers. No data caps. Just speed caps. But, I was able to watch 1080p YouTube while connected to Japan or Netherlands. (probably even more if the video wasn't capped at 1080p). The free tier speeds are just slower than paid tiers, but I don't think it makes a difference, depends on your use!

How is ProtonVPN? I've seen it before but I've never really considered using it, I just use Tor.

ProtonVPN to my experience is very good! I primarily use to it to watch my country shows that are blocked in the US. Their free tier has unlimited everything.

Also, they are based in Switzerland. It is also very good for torrenting.

You remember when Linus used to promote Tunnel Bear? What is the reason he gave again? I forgot, and I am looking for a VPN (NordVPN is awesome, but expensive as all hell).

I personally use ProtonVPN. Their free-tier is pretty amazing too!

Don't take my word, but I think Tunnel Bear was acquired by McAfee. That is why Linus stopped promoting it. (Not 100% sure)

Hello! I just bought a Ryzen 3700X, an Asus B550-F Gaming and two sticks of Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM (2x16GB 3200 MHz CL16) and I want to try and sell my old parts, which are:

    • Intel Core i5-4670K - Original price: 192 €
    • Asus Maximus VI Hero - Original price: 183 €
    • G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 2133 CL9 G.Skill 8GB 4x4GB - Original price: 147,92 €
    • Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - Original price: 29 €

Given that the hardware is 6 years old, but stills performs rather good, I though that asking 300 € but willing to go as low as 250 € would be a fair price.

    What do you think?

Of course the seller would need its own Case, PSU and storage... perhaps that's a deal breaker for most people, right?

Maybe if you include the PSU, Case and storage, you could gain a higher profit. Just a bit of investment might really help you.

I have made my HDD a FTP server with the help of Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager App which comes default with windows. When I turn on my pc, the server starts up, and I can access my files through wifi (router). I just have simply set it up so anonymous users can join. So people with my wifi access can join. I only use it for copying and deleting data from my phone. I do not have a Laptop.

I have noticed I can change the port but I can't change the ip to anyother than the one windows keeps as default which was

Now the thing is, I've noticed for the past few days, I can't randomly connect to the ftp. So, I check the binding dropdown and sure enough it has changed to at the last. It was also 106 a few days ago.

After, making it 105 (the new default), I can connect to the site albeit by changing the ip.

Why is it changing randomly? It's not related to restarts either. Somedays I restart and still can access the old ip. And it just changes randomly, it's such a nuisence to change it for every single ftp I have. I don't think it's a router issue, because I can temporarly fix it without going to router settings.

How can I fix this changing issue? Do you have any other local FTP recommendations which are better than this setup? Because this doesn't seem like the best setup.

    Has server and client capabilities.

What? No? Error? A MacBook is by far the worst thing you could recommend, even worse than that HP monstrosity.

Both of those are riddled with problems ranging from power limits to heat issues to shit internal quality to crap QA. Avoid them.

You're asking a lot from a low end laptop. You either have to get a gaming laptop such as the Acer Nitro 5 with a Ryzen 5 4600H or a business laptop with good battery life. You can't afford both.

How could the MacBook be the far worst thing I can recommend. I truly disagree with that opinion. It might not be the best at gaming, but for battery life, it would stand out. A used MacBook is in OP budget.
