  1. Grab a 780 Ti and try that out first and then add another if you find it lacking. That being said I have read some 770 SLI's that OC'd faster then 1 780 Ti if all you want is SLI for the sake of SLI. ASUS Direct CU II GTX 770 4GB was the card I read that did it. Can't find them for sale anymore AFAIK.
  2. This was Urban Legend status, wonder what else you could pull together to find/discover.
  3. I use to be Gamer293 back when i started playing online games as a kid. Then adopted Hitman since I like the Game Series then Silent after realizing there were too many Hitman's. Silent because I listen more then talking and friends say I'm too low on vent/TS. Use to be in a clan called Uncommon Valor (now mostly disbanded) so for awhile i was [uV} Silent. Still rock the tag sometimes. added the _ and R493 because sometime your username requires numbers and cannot have spaces. also its leetspeak for Rage. Emblem has always been a Tribal Reaper since I think it looks cool. Used my current Username for 5 years now. I find it to be unique enough to not need to change.
  4. download the latest Bios to a usb drive stick then run the EZ Flash utility in the bios. select the bios on your stick with the utility and you should be good then. I did this back when I got my sabertooth.
  5. I went Sennheiser headset; specifically the PC 350 SE's. I think its great. Maybe look at those or others in the PC line. I didn't pay MSRP so it was a better option for how I use audio. (Amazon Warehouse Deals - Like New - $130 USD 2 Day ship)
  6. GeForce GTX 770 2x SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 700~800 Watt power supply unit as minimum. http://www.guru3d.com/articles_pages/geforce_gtx_770_sli_review,4.html Also for the money that ROG board I recommended would be a better buy IMO. But it will depend on what you use your computer for and what feature you will want to have. I got a Z87 Sabertooth because I like the Look and the Dependability since ASUS's TUF line has a 5 YR Warrenty. About when this PC would probably need a rebuild.
  7. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3qyxw CPU: i7-4770k Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero Memory: G.Skill Sniper Series - 8GB (4GB x 2) - DDR3 1866 1.5v OS Storage: Samsung 840 EVO 250GB SSD Bulk Storage: WD Black 1 TB HDD Video Card: Asus GTX 770 DirectCU II 2GB PWR Supply: Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 850w 80+ GOLD Certified ATX power supply. Total: $1301.92 USD I left out stuff you had. and you could always add CPU Cooler later for OC'ing and optical drives later if you cling to disks still.
  8. This. Unless your upgrading from something older/slower like I did with my GTX 550 Ti just hold out awhile. Your 580 is still good enough @ 1080P gaming. Unless you want higher like 1440P or 4K. Look up the Graphics Card Hierarchy Chart. Your improvement would only be the minimum of 3 or 4 where mine was like 7 going to a GTX 770. Way more worth while for me.
  9. Build quality is very good looking and from the sound of things the choice of components are great improvements to the previous version. Innovation for the sake of innovation is always cool. Tech should never be stagnant. Seems like HTC will still be ahead of their competitors like you said in the video.
  10. Because audio is subjective. And every other post about it suggests buying some after thought of a sound device like a Amp/DAC or Soundcard. But no one every provide Factual Stats comparing said items against each other. I.E. Onboard vs Soundcard vs. Amp/DAC unit. They kind of just repeat what everyone else says without adding to the discussion or resolving anything. anyway this is a preemptive thread to see if i would need something extra or gain a tangible benefit of adding something to the setup.
  11. From my understanding I will need something to power these since my Z87 Sabertooth is ALC1150 and not some high end on-board and because the headset is 150 ohms. Wanted to pair them with a Xonar Phoebus ROG since it would probably do the job from what I have read and because I only care about Gaming. I have a $200 USD budget for sound. I know people are recommending Amp/DACs these days (looked into FiiO E10/Schiit Magni+Modi) but I unsure if its worth while since I'm probably not going to care as long as it sounds decent/good. Any suggestions for a setup or feedback would be welcomed since I'm not a 100% sure what to pair up this headset with.
  12. on my ASUS GTX 770 2 GB I only see a 3.5 fps boost when I OC to 1190 clock and 7900 mem. Unigine Heaven 4.0. extreme settings DX 11 @ 1920 x 1080. non oc its 38.5 and then oc'd its 41.7. never gets hotter then 69 C @ 70% Auto Fan. and still quiet.
  13. I enjoyed both channel ideas and see no reason not to mix them. vlog style is a nice change of scenery and the gaming review was well done but I'd rather read it as it was a little drawn out to listen to and more In-Game footage was needed. it was kind of like getting a lecture on the game rather then hey here is a cool game to play because of this, this, and this. maybe do game recommendation rather then reviews or game commentaries as both I feel are over done everywhere else. Overall I would like to see both options explored for your new content.
