Used enterprise HDD's with about ~45000 hours - Worth it?
mononymous replied to xXRaineXx's topic in Storage Devices
There are 10TB refurbished drives from Amazon (Japan). They are currently listed for 18k JPY, I'm getting them for a NAS build next month. https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/Enterprise-Internal-HUH721010ALE604-Renovated-Refurbished/dp/B0CLNVMCQ6 -
Realistically, doing group buys would be better. I did see a couple of those when I was looking through VR-Zone/Hardware Zone's forum. Those days were pre-Carousell so it's quite some time ago. Personally I don't know the population of local fans who are willing to buy LTT merch.

Since LTT is now being sponsored by UGREEN, will you be getting their NAS units? Alder Lake NAS, UGREEN | Compterbase

Topton / AOOSTAR R1 NAS review. It's barebones kit for a NAS that doesn't look like a server. Intel N100 up to 32GB DDR4 2x 3.5" 1x M.2 2280 2x 2.5G LAN Links: Topton NAS R1 PRO | AliExpress AOOSTAR R1 | AOOSTAR AOOSTAR R1 | liliputing

Due to brexit it's not the EU but youtuber Max Fosh did that for content. Aiming for some form of government recognition, in his case it was wearing a silly (religious) hat for his profile picture accepted in his driver's license.

Ah is it? I'll give it a go if the chrome extension is hard to use. Thanks for the update. -
How to stop loading localized version of websites
mononymous replied to mononymous's topic in Programs, Apps and Websites
@Heats with Nvidia I will give this a go for the time being. Although it does break Dark Reader on Chromium (Vivaldi). Thank you for the suggestion. @kaoadr I don't use VPNs enough to warrant a monthly subscription. This is the only use case left that needs it. -
Sometimes for ease of use for the average person, the website loads the localized version. However there are times that I do not want to. - Compare prices across different countries - Browse the website in English not in the local language For example a google search on the "Bambulab 3D printer" points to this website: https://store.bambulab.com/products/x1-carbon-3d-printer But it would redirect to this site without a way to go to the global site: https://jp.store.bambulab.com/products/x1-carbon-3d-printer Nowadays the only reason I use a VPN is to circumvent this restriction. My NordVPN's 3 year subscription will end soon and am looking for alternatives.

It's not that Newegg Japan's pricing is bad. It can be comparable to some of the major e-retailers like Amazon Japan. It's just that returns are handled by Newegg US. Question to @Chuckelor 1. Do you mind used hardware? 2. Would the budget exclude monitors and peripherals? 3. Do you mind if the parts are ordered from different retailers for a better price?

I would get an audio mixer. A 4 to 8 channel USB audio mixer should offer enough flexibility to get what you want. Don't know where you are based but you can get these for about 100USD. There are PC based digital mixers that can route your audio to create a similar effect. Here are some questions, I have regarding your needs and setup: 1. What's your budget, where are you based? 2. What's your audio setup? a) How do you connect the speaker to the monitor? What type of connections are available? b) How do you connect the headset? What type of connections are available? 3. Do you connect (or do you need to) connect the microphone of the headset to the PS5? 4. Can the PC be powered on while you game on the PS5? There are people like you who likes to listen to PC and PS5 audio simultaneously:

Aside from the zipper durability I really liked the form factor of a bag I used to use. https://www.qwstion.com/en/simple-office-graphite-leather.html It can be hand carried, turned into a backpack as well as a messenger bag. If it can have the many compartments and durability of the ltt backpack, that would be splendid.

Best quality/price privacy screen protector
mononymous replied to Mathieu Godin's topic in Phones and Tablets
Personally, I used Dynaflo's Liquid Armor. I think the company that originally provided it is defunct. -
Unfortunately, I don't live in the Kansai region so I can't recommend a store. This one would be closer to a simple hard disk case which is connected via sata cables. There will be less issues with compatibility with this one. Sold by Century at 16500JPY. https://www.century-direct.net/products/n0-16651
