  1. That PSU is just fine, maybe just go for the Modular one for better cable management & non-restrictive airflow. I only purchase Corsair PSUs myself, anyways. The 80+ Bronze/Silver/Gold/etc rating is the Efficiency rating. It's how efficient the unit will be, resulting how quiet/often the fan spins, and of course how much money you pay on your energy bill. You definitely want an 80+ rated PSU, always. Keep that in mind.
  2. An open/removed side panel isn't always best for airflow.. It might actually counter-act the flow if it's balanced. Or it might have some of your fans bring in air but due to so much open area, the air isn't as focused to cool the exact area you want it to cool. A small piece of paper placed inside your PC in a meticulous way can actually help airflow greatly.. If that's the case, what do you think a whole side being open does? Just to clarify, I'm not saying that's the scenario you'll experience... But it's a busted myth I always tell my customers to avoid and rather fix the airflow inside. Or cut out mall areas and put in some mesh or something. And I believe everyone else has already mentioned some of the other big issues.. Dust, animal hair, or just one fly going in there could screw things up. It just isn't a great idea.. Ever, IMO.
  3. You can't go wrong with any of the past few Intel SSD models. 730 is a decent choice, I guess. But just as @dragoon20005 said, the price:to:performance on Intel SSDs (some more than others) are very poor.
  4. All your pictures will always have horrible resolution.. Just get GIMP. It offers fantastic features. Whether YOU use it or not doesn't mean it's not the next best free alternative to PS.
  5. No.. There will be no 'moving Windows' from AlienRespawn. Factory Software option kind of explains itself in the name..? It's all the software that Alienware provided pre-installed. It can also contain drivers & whatever else Alienware decided to load on there. A Recovery/Rescue disk basically takes things to default settings, fixing OS, driver, & other issues. Doesn't it explain all this on that screen?!
  6. But it's the only viable "totally free" option aside from photoshop. Anyways, people are going to be mean. But, post what you want. It's called freedom.
  7. Just be careful, there are settings there that could screw things up. So if you're not experienced in this area, please follow that guide step-by-step.
  8. For Americans, it's more like this: We aren't taught jack about other countries. And we aren't taught jack about our own country. Nothing too in-depth or for any meaningful period of time, at least. But being as we're the "World Police" and only a ~230 year old baby - We do have much history (because of us being jackasses, mostly) but we don't like teaching about other countries, or our faults. Like, literally, in some of the lower-ranked public schools, we're lied to about WW II.. We're taught to look like the heroes, whereas we were just a catalyst to Russia flexing their muscles.
  9. Here you go mate, enjoy~ http://www.thewindowsclub.com/take-ownership-windows-8
  10. Wow.. That sentence just taught me so much. You must understand JaeDee .. In America, the already not-so-great education system doesn't really teach in depth about other country specifics, unless of course you take those courses in college or whatnot. But yeah, that's cool. I kind've thought the Queen to England/elsewhere is as the President is to America. Guess not!
  11. The game is just trying to get you out in the sun to feel the grass on your feet; once it see's you've played it for 118 Hours. Lol, jk. Sorry, had to do it! Impulse!
  12. Then as long as you don't invite any clowns to build you balloon animals (I know you love those things) you're all set.
  13. No, not at all. All it means is the outlet(s) that your PC is plugged into is linked with the light switch (somehow). Electricians used to do this a while ago, crossing wires and having multiple outlets aligned/parallel (w/e u want to call it) with the switch. If the PC turned OFF, the PSU might've tried to save the PC. But since yours turned on and presumably everything works; you've got nothing to worry about. Just stay away from carpet & balloons, kk?
  14. I like the Tt Commander, but I'm not quite fond of Raidmax cases. Most of them always have cheap-to-bad build quality, QC control, and cheap materials used. Now, most budget cases will experience some of that, hence the 'budget' part, but in this case the Thermaltake case, I think, is much better - and I think it looks much better also.
  15. Just because there's a newer model of something, doesn't make the previous one any less of a performer. If the specs justify the price for you, the answer is Yes. At the same time though, if you can afford the M9, then by all means.. Why not? It all depends on what you're wanting to spend. Just, please, don't be a sheep.. Have a brain.. Read my 1st sentence gracefully!
  16. Never... Up until DDR4, do you remember DDR3 prices staying high most of the time? Even up untill DDR4 and even now, RAM is a pricier component than it used to (or needs to) be.
  17. Double check your H80i performance.. I'm thinking this would be the most popular 'problem', but it could be a half-dozen other issues. Try re-applying thermal paste to the CPU, also.
  18. I wouldn't go as far as to say it's still perfect (in comparison to the price of other i5 & i7 CPUs right now).. But, I do agree, it'll do just fine paired with a good GPU.
  19. You would need to get permission from the school to link their account to your OneDrive... Which will never happen. Sorry, but this is probably something you should forget. Schools will never allow that, lol.
  20. You guys are joking right? Because I couldn't make it more obvious that I was dudes!.. Although I must admit.. I didn't know about that 376 page car thread.. Pretty cool. And obviously, LTT = Highest IQ Level site on the internet.. Only person who knows more than us is, again.. Google.
  21. Cars? Is this really a thread about cars? Even if there was a car expert here... .....You do realize you're talking to a bunch of geeks & nerds, right? Maybe a car forum? Or.. Local? Better yet.. Google will answer your question, I promise.. She knows the world.
  22. Why does this question STILL come up... Bro it's 2015, not 1963.. ESD Straps are like $3 USD... Put it on your ankle and forget about it. http://ultrastatinc.com/esd_wrist_straps.html $2.93 for an ankle strap...
  23. I usually have a difference of opinion with most people here, but I completely agree with this, as per the budget.
  24. This just totally ended the thread. #LifeExplained
  25. Let me also be the devil's advocate of the thread... If you have slightly deeper pockets, rock out with the Titan X!
