  1. That RAM is WAY too much (too expensive) for gaming. Also, I would go down slightly on the CPU. With those two, you'll have the rest of your budget to get the only thing that'll matter in a $300 gaming pc.. GPU. Do this: • Intel G3258 Overclockable CPU... $70. Plenty videos of people playing every game u can think of on it (hold quality settings). You'll be able to get the best GPU u can with the money saved. Again, GPUs' all that matters. • Get RAM that's no more than $45. I don't care what kind; just do it. • My final suggestion is expanding the budget to whatever is needed (less than $40) and get a WD Blue 1TB HDD. Games eat storage.
  2. For basic workload I would just do the HD 5450 honestly. There might be better tho I've used this card before, but either way who cares, it'll barely get used and when it does, it'll do the job just fine!
  3. Absolutely. USB 3.0 is Backwards Compatible. Meaning, it'll work with USB 2.0 (your mic) and lower.
  4. No, it wouldn't be a problem at all. Get the ModMic. It's OmniDirectional, so you'll be solid.
  5. There is absolutely no reason to get a "non-branded", they are not better. They will 95% of the time use the same LEDs, for example if you're looking for an RGB strip, the LEDs you want (best/brightest) are SMD5050. Any strip that has those is fine. Just buy one made for PCs, with already-installed connections. It might cost slightly more, but it'll work better and much better for cable management, ease of use, and setup.
  6. Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. http://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Hyper-212-RR-212E-20PK-R2/dp/B005O65JXI Damn, Amazon currently has it for $28.40... Fantastic price. Look at the reviews there or on Newegg in case you need any further reason to buy it.
  7. Nobody's answer's are gonna help you. Or, rather, shouldn't. The reason I say that is because everybody's different. People spend their money on different things, at different times, have different wallet sizes, etc. Enthusiasts, for example, upgrade every 6-12 months. Not because it "needs"the upgrade, they just want it. Then there's a hundred more factors such as the use/workload of the machine. And also, reason for upgrade. ...Aaaaaand some people upgrade part by part every few weeks/months, so it's not really an "upgrade" in the way you mean it. Sorry, although that ended up sounding like a mean troll - I'm sure you know it wasn't. Just being honest & realistic with you. My point in all that is - do what YOU feel is right. Do you think you NEED to upgrade? Are you bottlenecked? Do you have money burning a hole into ur left buttox? Etc!

    40mm fans?

Not to mention, they ALL sound like Jet Engines taking off... Lol.
  9. I would try to snatch a Cannon T3i for that price. Though, I think for a bit more you can get the kit with a lens, sd card, bag, etc on Amazon. Or Nikon D3200, currently on sale right now on Amazon, and also for $80 more u can get a bundle deal. http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-Digital-18-55mm-3-5-5-6-NIKKOR/dp/B007VGGFZU Either one of those is a great choice. Though, in most cases, the 3200 will be slightly under $500, while the T3i will be slightly over. EDIT: Why u say he would waste time? Did I miss something?
  10. That pretty much opens the door to any of them.. That's a great budget for a mechanical keyboard. I personally must recommend Corsair's offerings.
  11. Ohhh.. Yeah. That too. Always WPA2. >.<
  12. Maybe this will help: http://classroom.synonym.com/wont-computer-recognize-router-anymore-7029.html I'm not sure mate. Just research around and see what you find.. Router problems are so damn annoying, and everyone's Achilles's heel, lol. A family member of mine works in the IT/Networking field and says he'd rather set up server rooms than deal with router problems. Though that's probably a slight over-exaggeration. Either way, I wish I could help more but like I said, any 1 problem with a router could have 350 solutions to it.. I've provided what I feel is the problem. Let me know if you have any further questions, and good luck!
  13. Download & install all the latest drivers, especially Networking/Communication drivers - anything that relates to that. Also go to your router manufacturer's site (Virgin) and download the latest Firmware/Software/Updates for your router. PS: Did your router come with any software? If so, load it up. If your other devices are seeing it, and your computer isn't, then I'm almost certain it's one of the reasons I mentioned above. Hope this helped.
  14. Stole the words right out of my.. Fingers.
  15. Nothing is free my friend. Look in the underbelly of many non-profits and you'll find a profit log of some sort. Almost anything I can think of has some sort of royalty & whatnot. But as someone said, that doesn't mean they charge for it, in this case. Though I'm not certain.
  16. GTX 960 later for sure. 100%. For so many reasons I don't even want to mention.
  17. I say Noctis.. But, c'mon.. One is much older than the other (2 days old) and has been tried & true over and over again proven a great case. So it's not really a equal poll IMO. But, again if opinion's what you want.. I am really digging the Noctis so far. It MIGHT just be the first ever White build I do.. That's a sexy Bold white case, blue underglow... Yumm.
  18. Yeah, so I figured just about everyone would agree. As I said, It only SEEMS that way. As they say.. "It Ain't You.. Its Me".
  19. I think you're just thinking about it too hard.. I highly doubt that anything you wrote was misconstrued as something else, or that someone saw it as more than it is. I don't think that's why it SEEMS like the topics end after you. It happens to everyone. Look at how many Active users LTT has, people just move on faster. Either way, I find it quite nice that someone actually made a post like this; but I think you're off-base (in a good way)
  20. Absa-freaking-lutely. Probably the best monitor on the market right now, IMO. For gaming, editing, rendering, design, professional work, movies, entertainment, I don't care. Period.
  21. To be honest, that was almost the extent of my knowledge in this area.. I only experimented with using my keyboard for MiDi for a small side project.. Bome worked for me when I needed it. VMPK was heavily talked about also. But, unfortunately my friend, I don't have anything else to give here >.< I do wish you the best of luck and hope you find what you're looking for, though!
  22. That case reminds me of a portable bluetooth speaker.. Blue lights, front 'speaker' grill & all. Lol. I like it, but idk.. A little odd for me.
  23. Just look for the largest amount of gromets, and according to how you will set things up, look at the Side View - Panel Off pics of cases and visualize your components inside. There's so many, and some I may name would work for you, some wouldn't. Nobody will be able to tell you what would work best for you, with your components. Only our own experiences, which are all different. But I know exactly what you mean, and the tip I gave above is how I go about it. I've gotten good enough (as long as I know my cooler/mobo/psu) to have near-perfect experiences with cable management with that.
  24. Here you go. http://vmpk.sourceforge.net/ http://www.bome.com/products/mousekeyboard I've personally used the Bome and would say it's adequate.
