  1. Techpowerup has a few written articles with actual stats listed now. https://www.techpowerup.com/review/ For my money I'm waiting to see what the MSI 'Corsair' version looks like and if it releases before evga can get their hybrid models out.
  2. Not an actual bench, but the ars technica article had anecedotal frame stats for ED and FO4 VR. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2020/09/nvidia-rtx-3080-review-4k-greatness-at-699-and-good-news-for-cheaper-gpus/
  3. Just did this exact thing over the weekend. I used Macrium Reflect to clone a 128gb Crucial m4 to a 1tb Hp ex920. I had to extend the partition afterwards to get the full tb of storage, but that's about the only oddball thing I can think of.
  4. I guess I'll binge watch season 2 of Punisher

      Nocte

I am so tempted to binge watch that too, but exams.

Good luck transferring all of that! Transfer speed is quite good though as it is not the immediate start of the transfer. I rule out HDDs (even 7200rpm wouldn't reach that unless it's <50MB). Do you have 2 2TB+ SSDs? :o

EDIT: Just noticed your system on your profile. SSHDs, didn't know hybrid was still that fast for big files.

It's not awful, down to 1 TB left to copy. Then I get to do it all over again with the other drives ?

Going to try and consolidate everything to a 1tb nvme and an 8tb iron wolf. Hoping the load times in games are as good (or better) using primocache to cache the drive as the sshd's were.

  5. Whenever I'm looking for power supplies and can't decide, I check the reviews on johnny guru. They do some pretty extensive psu testing.
  6. I never really got into them but they are super fun to mess around with. How do you plan to mount the peltier in the system?
  7. I'm damned awful, but I'd love to play the newest map/update. Haven't had time, and won't for a week or so.
  8. Just out of curiousity was your old psu modular? What was the reason for changing it? There's no chance when you were digging around installing the new one, you knocked the gpu cockeyed or something? Power cables are fully seated? How long ago did you update the drivers? Have you tried rolling back to the last known good driver? Is the storage for the driver known to be good? Does the gpu work in another pcie slot? Do you have another rig you can test the gpu in?
  9. You can't really go wrong with noctua products outisde the goofy 24 volters, but if price is an issue you might consider the newer maglev fans from corsair , The basic ones are offered in a 2 pack for 30-40-ish dollars. They're rated pretty high for static pressure.
