A comment on disabling broadcasting the SSID on your router...this type of obfuscation doesn't make you more/less secure since trivial tools are able to see traffic from all ssid's in range. What is really dependant on wifi security is that you're using nothing less than wpa2 with both non-standard ssid names and passphrases -- and that are both long. A preferable passphrase can be something simple but highly-secure: a full sentence (complete the punctuation marks and spaces) containing ~63 characters. This is one of those cases where password length matters.
 
Also, I no longer trust a 2+ year-old Android phone in anything but airplane mode. If OEM's can't be bothered to push updates to older products to fix gaping holes in Android...then these phones should not have any access to wifi and cellular/data providers, period.

I've got a dell cs24-sc, its got 2 intel xeon L5420's @2.5Ghz, 16gb of ram, 1 1tb hard drive(I dont need a raid because it mainly just runs a F@H client) 
and Ubuntu 12.04 desktop x64
(BTW this isnt where the server resides now. It got moved right after i got ubuntu installed)
