  1. Id love to know the answer to this as well lol. Ive lived in Canada my whole life and in the 40 years Ive been alive Ive never found a reliable way to know what the charges are gonna be. Sometimes its literally zero, other times ive had to pay like 60% of the purchase price in additional fees, seems like no rhyme or reason

  2. Ok so I have a msi 3060 gaming card and I have been having audio issues off and on for probably 4 months. What happens is after a random amount of time the audio will become what I can only describe as garbled and scratchy then it just goes out. If I run the troubleshooter built into windows its reinstalls the "generic driver" and it starts working fine again. Sometimes that fixes it for a few days, other times in 20 minutes I have to do it again. I havent been able to find any other driver besides the generic audio driver, not sure if thats the issue. Its running HDMI into my projector which is where the audio comes from. The card did this in my other system as well so I figure it has to either be a hardware issue or a driver issue of somekind, Im leaning more towards a driver issue as it gets resolved for. awhile by reinstalling the driver. If I am right I am just wondering if anyone knows a permenant fix as this current "reinstalling the driver every so often" isnt really a fix as much as just "kicking the can down the road"

  3. If you are gonna use a graphics card run a threaded rod clean through the case and make some type of clamp that goes on the non supported end of the GPU, if you do it correctly that GPU would be beyond solid. Realistically it would just need a couple 3d printed parts to make the clamps and then the rod and 6 nuts.

Did you even bother checking lttstore.com?

I get what you mean with this comment but in OP's defense the store has missed the ship date for a lot of these waves for both screwdriver and backpack, so what written on the store page has often been wrong. With that said though anyone that says they know for sure is just making a date up at this point.

Why no warehouse in Europe ?

If you search on here or listen to the wan show youd know, there is a ton of hurdles involved in a small operation opening logistics in another country, and despite what we want to maybe think LTT in the grand scheme is still a small operation.

I have this case and It was still under warranty. The drive sleds of my particular case unfortunately did not hold up due to repetitive use. When contacting corsair support for replacement they confirmed that they are no longer producing these drive trays at their factory even though their website just displays them as out of stock. Would anyone happen to know if the carbide 175 sleds or any other corsair case variant has relatively similar drives that would slot into my case with minimal or no sanding?

Ok so if its under warranty than what was the solution they offered you?

I ordered the screwdriver on August 31st and I haven’t received an update since. Reached out twice with no response. Anyone else waiting still? Any advice?

Yep, but I ordered black shaft. What was your order number? In general the only thing to really do is wait, and sending in support tickets for updates will only bog them down more. Im not saying that the delays arent crappy to deal with, just saying that adding tickets to the support team probably wont help. Hopefully logistics can get things moving at a more regular pace soon. I will suggest though that LTT should really update their website to reflect the new shipping estimates as they clearly arent hitting the current ones on the page.

The central divider is almost impossible to break unless you intentionally go in there with a screw driver. I've never seen or heard of this happening to anyone, even with micro b.

I work in a retail store and while usb-c isnt near as often I have still seen to many to be happy about it, micro b was BRUTAL, had it happen far to often. Have yet to have a customer come back with an iphone with a dead lightning port, not saying it doesnt happen, just saying I havent had it come up. With all that said I also understand that I am a sample size of one store. Now cables on the other hand are a different story, lightning cables fail far more often than usb-c do, once again based on my experiences

  9. Ok so as someone who actually installs systems like this for a living let me help out a bit. The Boyo frame is useless and annoying, camera is fine but the monitoring sucks, dont bother. The brandmotion system is the only one on your list I have installed but can confirm that if you take your time and be careful when mounting your sensors it works exceptionally well. I know its the most expensive but when dealing with systems like this the lower priced ones tend to go off more randomly and that just makes people start to ignore them.

in South Africa and the average salary here is about $1300 and the average U.S salary is $6200.

Where did you get these statistics? I dont think the average income in the states is anywhere near 6200 a month unless you are factoring in guys like Zuck who would obviously sku the results big time.

I don't get hard line tubing. It's just a downgrade to me. Whenever I see it all I can think about is how annoying it must be to do bare basic maintenance

Ive ran hardline for a few years, people with hardline who say its hard to maintain just build poorly planned loops or decided to build in a case that wasnt suitable IMO. As for maintenance its really just 30-45 minutes once or twice a year depending on what you use for coolant. It really isnt a big deal.

Wave 2 for me and its Oct 31st and no shipment or new details on the screwdriver. Tried messaging support 10/26 with no reply. Feeling like i should cancel at this point. Just no communication on anything.

Its been talked about on here many times that support tickets are backed up several weeks right now. I get that its frustrating but shipping is also a bit behind, there were people in wave one that reported getting their tracking numbers as recently as yesterday for a product that was scheduled to start shipping on oct 20, but dont forget that they arent shipping 15,000 drivers out in one day, after the start of wave 2 shipment it could still be a week before someone in wave 2 actually has their driver leave the warehouse

The reviews are probably legit, sadly audiophiles have become legendary for defending their placebos, try pointing out to one of them that it's scientifically impossible for a vinyl record to sound as good as the digital master it was created from and they will still claim it sounds even better >.>

Dont forget that "sound as good" is subjective. Some people seem to prefer the sound of vinyl to a digital master, and while its not as you put it scientifically possible for that to be a thing, if it sounds better TO THEM and they make the statement than its not untrue. In the same way if I look at two pieces of abstract art, one painted by a 4 year old with a super soaker full of paint and one painted by a renowned artist and I think that the 4 year old did a better job than that painting looks better TO ME. Experts might/would disagree but it doesnt make my statement untrue. It just means that you probably shouldnt put much value in my tastes of new age art lol.

I'm not crying over my $2, I feel bad for the guys who often send them $50 or $100 expecting a response.

I don't tune in for the WAN show at its start. Most people don't either. I feel suckered out of my $2.

Which one is it? Do you not care or do you feel suckered. And you said that when you superchat other creators with GOOD questions they answer you and you feel that asking Linus to consider a man bun before getting a hair cut is a good question that you think should have been addressed? You told someone to talk like an adult but you are acting like a petulant child who wants attention, grow up.
