  1. I am looking into buying three Samsung G5's. The 27 inch model to be exact. There are a bunch of mounting options for a triple monitor setup out there but I would love to be able to continue using my current 24 inch monitor in addition to the other ones mounted above the middle one. Finding a decent mount that doesn't look like crap and doesn't cost more than a entire monitor has proven to be kind of difficult. Can anyone recommend me a specific model, tell me which ones to stay away from or point me towards a manufacturer to take a look at? I found the HFTEK MP234C-N which seems kind of decent but is a little on the expensive side imho. Are 340€ a bit too much for such a mount or is that about what I should expect for a decent one?
  2. Personally i wouldnt go for refurbished cards. You wont get your moneys worth. At the moment you can get a RTX 2060 for pretty cheap on the used market, probably even cheaper than any refurbished card.
  3. I got mine at retailer in Germany. I had troubles finding it on the official pages as well as HP doesn't really show you all the available configurations on their main page.
  4. your ram is still running far below spec. are you sure you selected the correct xmp profile? It should be running at 3600mhz, not 3000. Yes, they probably used their ram at the fastest speed possible and didnt render the game at a higher resolution.
  5. because of the combination of your ram running at a low frequency, odysseys optimization, your cpu and the 1.4x 1080p. yes
  6. the HP x360 Envy with the ryzen 7 4700U with 16gb of ram works like a charm for me. The build quality is nice, it has a touch display and I got it for less than 900€ with a small discount.
  7. Well... the rtx 2080 ti can indeed run it at 4k 60fps. But you are limited by your cpu... Though I have no idea by how much.
  8. Only HDMI 2.1 actually supports high refresh rates at 4k. But why are you using a HDMI cable in the first place? DisplayPort 1.4a is the way to go imho
  9. I had similar issues a couple years ago. It turned out be an issue with my motherboard. You might want to just hit up gigabyte and ask for a replacement. You could also try running your ram and cpu at slower speeds to see if that changes anything. But if you ask me its not worth it to waste hours/days/weeks on trying to fix a hardware defect by adjusting settings.
  10. You are also running AC odyssey at 1.4x 1080p. You are rendering the game a higher resolution. You probably have the same setting enabled in GTA V
  11. Your ram is running pretty slow. Go into your bios and apply the correct XMP profile.
  12. Hmmm, you may want to run a 3Dmark benchmark and see how your gpu compares
  13. Personally I would wait for zen 3 and NAVI2 to be announced before making any purchasing decisions.
  14. i didnt have the ability to do that on my MSI B350 while my X570 from MSI supports this feature. I wouldn't give advice like that when its only true on certain boards and requires additional knowledge of your board's features and software. I like to just stick to advice that is universally applicable.
  15. yeah, I know. But its pretty hard to find any information for any particular board. most of them just have all the ryzen 2000 and 3000 on their compatibility lists. And you cant really just look at the ROM size because even some of the boards with tons of flash are confirmed to NOT support zen 1.
  16. well. it does matter. the case fan headers might depend on the temperature measured in the case by the motherboard while the pump header most likely adjusts its speed according to the CPU temps. I like to just plug my pump into either and set it to a fixed speed where its not too loud but still sufficient for cooling my CPU. but to your question. no, the fans on the radiator belong on the CPU_Fan header and the pump belongs on the pump header.
  17. Heyo, quick introduction, I am currently preparing for the launch of zen 3 to upgrade from my zen 1 r7 1700x so I already bought good RAM because the prices are crazy at the moment a got a good deal on a x570 motherboard that supposedly also supports zen 1 APUs and the r5 1600. Namely the "MSI MPG X570 GAMING EDGE WIFI". I just went ahead and installed my r7 1700x in this motherboard without downgrading the bios or anything. And kid you not, it works. I still have to see how stable it is but from what I saw at 2am it seemed to just work. Just something interesting I wanted to share for anyone who might be looking into upgrading to a new motherboard for zen 3 and still wants to use an existing zen 1 cpu on this board. But I'm wondering, why is MSI not accurately disclosing which CPUs are compatible and which aren't? It seems like AMD might have something against that, meh. idk
  18. Hey, I am currently looking for a performance focused case. I am going to upgrade my GPU or CPU+Mobo+RAM, I have not decided yet. And I want to get a new case going along with this upgrade. I am currently using a R7 1700x cooled by the 240mm AIO from CM on a B350 mobo with 16gb of 2800mhz ram and an RTX 2070 inside a CM MasterCase H500P. At first, I was happy with the thermal performance of my now "old" case. But over the years the issues became more and more apparent to me. And as I grew older and aesthetics mattered less and less to me I began "hating" every single small or big issue this monster has. That’s why I am now looking for a rather large case where i can install as many unobstructed fans as possible to have a constant airflow in my case and keep it quite even when overclocking both my GPU and CPU. I was considering the o11 dynamic in all its versions. What are some of the advantages/disadvantages of the xl and pcmr editions? Are the NZXT cases any good when purely looking at airflow? The front fans look very obstructed by the front panels? Or can you recommend me some other cases that would be great for what I am trying to achieve?
  19. Oh, thanks for the tip, I forgot that I have a tech time capsule here around the corner, they probably have some standard mechanical Logitech keyboard laying somewhere on/in/under there shelves, I will ask a friend that works there if they have something flying around. Thanks
  20. But, can you maybe remember the brand that makes this keyboard with the chasie made out of wood, they also make some other keyboards in the style I would like to have on my desk. Linus and some other YouTubers presented them, but I can't seem to find or remember the name of the brand. Maybe you know how the where called?
  21. Nothing against you or anyone, but I kinda don't like stuff like this. But anyways, thanks for the offer.
