  1. no such thing as a specific ratio things to consider... good PSU can last years and multiple builds ( i have a 1000 watt BFG PSU from like 2007 that i still use today) pick out what case you want - consider the size and airflow after that its kinda personal choice
  2. personally i normally buy fujitsu... it is kinda complicated following stuff but basically they are the same batteries as what you get from enerloop pro ?? i believe not sure if the standard eneloops are still being made in china but to explain it... essentially panasonic bought sanyo, sanyo had to sell off its battery business to fujitsu in order to keep competition in the market as the FTC did not like that panasonic would have gained a large majority of ni-mh battery area so now... a factory that makes fujitsu batteries also makes eneloops... so yea essentially if you can find a rechargeable battery with low discharge as advertising and saying made in japan its probably from the same factory
  3. could try checking the storage controller and see if something with raid appears that isn't supposed to be there... if there is it probably loaded the wrong driver so just uninstall and detect and the correct driver should install, happened to a friend a couple years ago and i know he didn't setup a raid but yea technology....
  4. is it an os drive and did it boot into windows first time or did you just set it up as a plain storage drive?
  5. hard to tell from video... but to me it seems more of a software thing spatial audio and atmos... if you disable those does everything work ok ?? cuz i mean those sometimes mess with other games sound due to ingame options... in my experience most of those have been resolved but there could still be a conflict so not sure what the problem is also.. i never heard sound cut out in the video... all it sounded was like the directional sound was muffled for some reason which honestly that would be less of a hardware issue versus a software one then....
  6. bhphoto is fine, i've ordered stuff from them newegg didn't used to have third party sellers but added it to be essentially more like amazon but only tech related really newegg i will say is probably my favorite due to how diligent and easy it is to look up past receipts for handling long manufacturer warranties best buy is a good option and not sure but I'm guessing they still offer handling manufacturer warranties in store (most people don't know about this... its one of the reasons i used to buy gpu's only from them with long warranties because if it broke down i could take it in, get a giftcard for what i paid for and buy something else that day off the shelf with said giftcard --- literally best perk/service when dealing with a gpu failure) amazon... is ok but good god i swear every year their site gets more and more cluttered and is a pain to shift through -- i would avoid buying anything opened from them/used as I have had issues with that before... as well as having my reviews taken down for a low score due to false claims of condition the product was in... honestly amazon to me is just shady esecially with their reviews like bundling "similar products" from the same company for tallying a high review score on another product....
  7. what country you in ? because that can vary prices by a lot for gpus
  8. update: they still dragging their feet and since i started this they literally told me they threw my emails (showing proof of purchase) away over the phone after contacting multiple times about the update on my order... I was recording the conversation for myself as well.... guess the other thing i didn't even mention is the fact that my brother and I had both bought the exact same monitor (due to a deal on a website.. essentially at the time we saved like 150 dollars per monitor) .... they serviced his warranty literally 3 months ago.... so when making a small claims I can even just use my own brother's warranty being handled as proof/evidence...... honestly i feel like it would take me less time to just go through small claims now since today is the last day for my warranty to be valid.... currently can't find the exact warranty other than having the original box that says right on it... 3 years parts and labor warranty.... also.. my warranty is for full parts and labor and they are basically making excuses for refusing to do service... so i have not even been able to send it in guess i learned to never do business with samsung again.... something similar happened with a tv my parents bought like 13 years ago (difference is that it was an extended warranty) and samsung literally just refused to service it.... said they didn't have parts even though the same model of tv was still being sold -_-.... think this is just a lesson to not trust them, think the most frustrating part of this though is i need a new phone and the best deals right now are galaxy's..... "facepalm", wish i had noticed the xperia 1 deal 2 months ago for 250$....
  9. yea it says 3 year parts and labor... currently waiting supposedly 2 days from samsung to give me the information i need to send the monitor in... just annoyed because there are only 20 days left on the warranty and I know with handling RMA from samsung before that I should have gotten a number for mailing it in with no wait time if it is still under warranty. not fond of the idea that they might be trying to stall but oh well
  10. Well yea my assumption is the warranty you have is from when you purchased the product. My assumption is that due to high failure rates within the first year on this model of monitor that they changed it so they no longer had to repair/replace them. EDIT: since i would be filing the small claims i believe i could do it within my jurisdiction, which time/money is honestly irrelevant due to how my work schedule is --- if the monitor was 100 dollars id probably ignore it, but it was a 700 dollar monitor which means it's worth some hassle and the 35$ court fee i believe for my area... which i have proof of purchase and the warranty offered at the date of sale. Also it's like a 10 min walk from my house to the local county courthouse to file it.
  11. it did, even have the original box still but when i tried to use their online service repair system it was telling me that my monitor was out of warranty as it only had a 1 year warranty, but when i bought it actually had a 3 year warranty my brother had to send his in too and I noticed a lot of complaints on this model... think i'm never going to throw money at a samsung monitor now, honestly my history with their tv's hasn't been much better either
  12. Hey just had an interesting day trying to handle an RMA with my monitor that finally decided to completely fail. When i bought this monitor "Samsung 32CHG70" back in 2017 it was advertised and had a 3 year warranty. Apparently over the past few years Samsung decided to change the warranty length of this model from 3 years parts and labor to 1 year parts and labor. It took a bit of badgering in order to get my point across that I had the receipt and can even look up that it was being advertised as a 3 year warranty. This is a review of the 27 inch version of the monitor from pcmag in 2018 --- which states a 3 year parts and labor warranty https://www.pcmag.com/reviews/samsung-chg70-27-inch-curved-monitor am i being crazy that changing the warranty length on the model of a monitor is in the realm of being illegal ?? like i had to badger pretty bad in order for them to do something but now they are making me wait a couple days for my RMA information which I know that if its covered they should have been able to complete it within the same day will update later... Going to be annoyed if i have to file a small claims case for this thing....
  13. are you basically just looking for an open world rpg ??? Fallout new vegas Final Fantasy XV Latest farcry and assasin's creed games Dragon's Dogma Fallout 4 (to an extent.. seems more shootery) Dying Light (zombies open world rpg) I would highly recommend dragon's dogma if you wanted to stick with fantasy/skyrim appeal or final fantasy XV which would be the closest options i think
  14. saw the new video for game streaming reviews and wondering if we are considering the most likely option which would be personal streaming to your devices with your own library Par Sec is what my friends and i moved over to for games that involved local coop but had no online option and I fooled around with it to see what i could do with single player games the main thing that also got me interested is they also had a deal done in which they provide the tech for hp for the omen line with their personal game streaming options -- i've seen a number of new software startups go out due to having great software idea, but basically ended going belly up due to not finding funding or a proper business strategy to keep moving forward. With funding and partnership with hp it keeps me optimisitc that they will be around for quite a while. wondering if anyone knows about this or if this could get viewed/voted for a review--- it is frustrating to see all this talk about game streaming and what not when my friends and I have been using this for a few years now... also its basically just flat out the best remote pc software i have used period in terms of fixing people's issues on their pc's from my personal computer --- simple to set up, easy to use https://parsecgaming.com/ https://pcper.com/2018/01/ces-2018-hp-partners-with-parsec-for-omen-game-stream-a-low-latency-remote-game-streaming-service/
  15. cdkeys.com is sorta a grey market... they are actually their own site and from what i can tell they buy off their keys during sales at some of the larger markets and then just resell them at a slight increase when the sale ends never had an issue with them and the fact you aren't buying it from random third parties makes it a bit better
