  1. Some info in this thread. In summary, if it's a quality 3.0 cable it should work fine at 3.0 speeds since PCIe 4.0 is backwards compatible.
  2. You're creating what's called a push-pull configuration by having fans on both sides of the radiator. As long as you ensure the fan directions are correct (e.g. not pushing air towards the radiator from both sides) you may see slightly better performance. Fans that come with the AIO should be geared towards static pressure which helps move air through the radiator more effectively. Your case fans on the other side pulling air out at the same time shouldn't hurt performance. Depends on specifically WHICH fans you have and the speed they are controlled to run at, but it should work just fine. Probably unnecessary from a cooling perspective, but should work.
  3. 4 discreet monitors is the limit due to number of output ports. Splitters would just duplicate the signal to another monitor but will not provide an additional discreet screen.
  4. Try removing the device completely from Device Manager and they letting Windows auto-install the drivers. I don't think I've ever had to manually install drivers for my wireless adapter.
  5. What do you mean when you say it's causing them to ground? You want all components to be grounded.
  6. Macrium Reflect has a free version for cloning drives that works well. Once you clone it, shut down the computer, swap the drives around so the new one is the only one installed and it should boot right up.
  7. Looks pretty solid. I'd swap the 3600 for the 5600x. Depending on how much photo/video editing you're doing the 5800x might be better for the additional cores (but maybe not within your budget at that point, but you could go for an air cooler instead to offset). There are enough 3600 CL16 RAM kits out there that I'd go for one of those if you can.
  8. Not sure if you're open to 60 percent layout, but I've been super happy with this one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B088F4SXXF/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 I have the Gateron Optical Browns. Great to type on and really well built.
  9. Could be any number of causes. Depending on how frequently now-and-again is will determine if you really have an issue. Some games I'll get the occasional hiccup for unknown reasons. Could be the game or could be the OS doing something in the background. If it's happening with any regularity I'd make sure all drivers are up to date and do a clean install of the GPU driver. If that doesn't work you can start running various stress tests to see if any hardware is under performing. Are you running on a clean Windows installation? Given it's a brand new PC I'm assuming so, but just checking.
  10. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors It's not supported. You can either move back to Windows 10 or buy a supported CPU.
  11. Check a few different retailer pages. Amazon, for example, lists the product dimensions for some RAM kits. Not sure where it comes from, so should be cross-referenced it possible.
  12. Gotcha. I don't follow it that closely, but have been eyeing up the M1 Air. Don't need a laptop urgently at all so am okay to wait to see what might be launched later this year. I'd say if you can make use of the extra GPU cores and storage it's probably an okay buy. I also haven't looked into many serious performance reviews so not sure if the upcharge is really "worth it".
  13. Isn't the M2 Air supposed to launch later this year?
  14. I would definitely stop turning on the PC and keep it unplugged. PSU is the most likely, but could be anything. Might want to take it to a repair shop if you aren't sure.
  15. Those with issue will always be the louder voice on the internet, but if you're concerned then perhaps another option would be better. I liked the overall package and have not had any issues so far. Valve support is really good should there be an issue.
  16. Until independent reviews are out it's all a guess anyways. If you don't need a GPU right now and are willing to wait until they are launched and reviewed then I'd wait. If you are itching for something right now the 3080 is still a great card.
  17. If they work with your phone they should work with your computer and an amplifier isn't the issue. Do you have another pair of headphones or earbuds you can plug into your computer for troubleshooting? Sounds like an issue with the onboard audio and/or connection to the front panel audio connectors.
  18. General Discussion or Programs/Apps sub-forum (depending on specific topic) makes the most sense. Can always be moved by the mods if it ends up not fitting the initially chosen sub-forum.
  19. Please list all hardware you intend to reuse (GPU and PSU primarily) as well as budget. Generally, yes, the 5600x/B550 pairing is a great combo. RAM should be 3200 or 3600 MHz.
  20. Any other Bluetooth devices you use with that computer? It could be the adapter having issues, or the keyboard could be the problem. Perhaps you can try connecting the keyboard to another device and see if it has the issue (if you have another device that is).
  21. You want smooth airflow from one side of the case to the other without fighting physics too much. Front-to-back or bottom-to-top are typically ideal. Do you have a picture or drawing of what you're intending? Might be easier to make some suggestions with a visual to go off of. Napkin sketches acceptable
  22. I agree with the above - that doesn't look like a dead pixel. Also, sounds like you handled the monitor normally, so I'm doubting you caused any damage to the screen. EDIT: Reminds me more of dust inside the panel assembly given it's larger size and soft edges.
  23. Depending on that particular card's thermals and the case airflow low 80s could be reasonable. Trending high, but not danger territory. At the end of the day, the mini's heatsink is just physically smaller than most cards, so running hotter is expected. If the thermal paste is totally dried you'll see an improvement with fresh paste and cleaning the fan/heatsink while it's apart. I'd say 5-10 C improvement realistically depending on how bad it is. Probably closer to the 5 number.
