  1. @jstudrawa Won't be until mid next year. I'm actually really reluctant now because she said she doesn't want one. I figure, I can just build it and sell it to my brother for basically part prices? Or sell it on one of those apps like LetGo or Offer Up
  2. The dude is approaching it all wrong though, rather than get licensing and helping Nintendo make some money off of it, he's literally just ripping it and claiming it as his own. There's a lot more videos showing his sources of these games and it's just from Chinese websites and all this other poor quality stuff. Soulja Boy is going down in history for this IMO.
  3. @jstudrawa Once again my overthinking comes in to play! Fuck it, I'm buying it. It's a Strix board, I'd assume it's good. I've never had an AMD build so this'll be fun. P.S. Idk if killing someone would be a cool move =p
  4. @dizmo Yeah, you're right. The pictures provided show the mobo brand new and sealed so it seems like it's good. I wonder if it'd be too much to ask to see if the ROG stickers are still there or not to see if it was ever used. @TVwazhere I think so too, I'm about to make a topic later asking about it. It's either this board or the Tomahawk or Mortar. I know I'd pay more for the others, but I'd also rather pay more for a better product. Community feedback will help with my final decision.
  5. @dizmo I posted as you posted, read the above I should add that he said he's just entered the PC world so he doesn't know much. He and his friend are building the PC together.
  6. @jstudrawa @TVwazhereSo my dude just said 80 and we have a deal. Brand new, still sealed. Said he just got a new board and CPU from a friend so he is selling this one. He got a 2600x CPU, so I don't know he didn't stick with the Strix 450, maybe for the sake of his friend? What are your guys' thought?
  7. AMD cards are always cheaper than their Nvidia counterparts for similar performance. An example: RX 580 is very comparable to a 1060 6gb. see this: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1060-6GB-vs-AMD-RX-580/3639vs3923 580 for nearly $190 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/MBGxFT/msi-radeon-rx-580-8gb-video-card-rx-580-8g-v1 1060 6gb for $260 https://pcpartpicker.com/product/vVWrxr/msi-geforce-gtx-1060-6gb-gaming-video-card-geforce-gtx-1060-gaming-6g There are tons of 580's going for less than $130 at the moment too on a few websites. And these are consumer prices, the savings on a contract with someone like Apple has to be extremely low. Also note that these are the full size GPU's and not the ones intended for Macs and laptops.
  8. All accessories are included, I don't get why he's selling it at almost %50 market value. That's the only thing stopping me really. Maybe I should try being straight forward and just ask?

Some dude in my local area is selling a B450 Strix board for $90 bucks but will let it go for $70... I am building my wife a budget build soon and was going for a B450 board anyway, should I pull the trigger?

I'd buy it since you have a plan, and if she still hates it then you can sell her it.

G'dammit lmao @TVwazhere "sell her it"

I really wanted to do it...Well if I do over the course of the next 6 months, maybe she'll slowly start to like the idea. I'm going to go ahead and do it.

      @DVA.....stickers mean nothing.

  10. Fans are usually the first thing to go on a GPU. Definitely just try out the new ones. If they are not long enough than you may able to solder them to the previous ones if you have experience with that.
  11. Because they know people will still buy their products. AMD is taking full advantage of NVIDIA's current horrible performance.
  12. If she practices as a lawyer, why be a jerk and keep a measly $100 board?.. If you made a mistake, you'd want your money or product back. Simply saying it's the other person's/business' fault isn't justifiable. I thought lawyers made good money, apparently not enough to stop from being a jerk and keeping an accidental shipment. But yeah, your girlfriend wouldn't be able to fight Paypal's lawyers, she would probably even tell you to just return the $100 board and not waste her time.
  13. Here is this, but I guarantee you it's going to last you a long time. You can push high settings easily on those games. The 580 is on par with the 1060GB. I would actually buy the GPU first before anything else to get it at this price. 16. I didn't even know he had his own. I'll have to check it out.
  17. Awesome man, well welcome. By the way, I'll tag him just to let him know you responded to him @TVwazhere
  18. You need to use the reply button or @ someone to get them notified that you have responded. You need to either hit the little reply arrow at the bottom of the message or simply tag them to let them know you are talking to them.
  19. At least they have been steadily going down, I bought my kit for $150 in September and the same kit can be found for 124.99-139.99. I also ready (I don't remember where) that dram prices all around are expected to drop drastically. Things are looking up for the PC world.
  20. Nintendo loves suing. Can't blame them though, they always have a rough time due to PS4/Xbox/PC gamers. Emulators take away their income. Sometimes I wish these emulators were real, but I still side with Nintendo protecting their IP.
  21. My opinions: Great budget build start off. Love it. HDD: Buy a 2TB since it doesn't cost much more and you get twice the storage. RAM: If it's in your budget than get a 16kit, it'll be better in case she loves the PC more than expected and wants to get into gaming more or editing.
