    Microphone - Need help

Pretty similar, but instead of a microphone that is on a stand or a handheld, it's the type that is pinned to the shirt just below the neck. Sorry for being vague.
  3. Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone has experience with the microphones that get pinned to your shirt in order to record audio. Things like what Linus, JayzTwoCentz, etc. wears. I know the higher quality ones cost more, but I was just wondering where I can begin. My wife will be trying something new out and we need to record audio. She won't be simply sitting down and using a usb/jack mic. So one of the above mentioned mics would be great. So...any suggestions my people? Sorry if I didn't clarify too well. I'm at work and on a small break.

OK I'm not an audiophile, but i LOVE this!

Give me the link, or I give you a bonk
  5. You're wanting to console game? At 60Hz you're better off with a TV. You can find a monitor at 1080p with 144Hz/1ms for around $200 for a good one. Also, curved monitors aren't too good, it causes slight distortion in the corners and offers no true benefits. 4k at 60Hz is definitely a TV option. 4k at 100-120Hz is a monitor choice.
  6. I love my SC2, have you noticed a significant advantage of the FTW3 over the SC2? My case could not fit a FTW3 due to my front moutned 280mm rad. To OP: I'm not saying to just buy any 1080ti, but generally EVGA is the safest to go with. They have a 3 year warranty on their cards and the 1080ti was released in 2017 I believe? It also goes by manufactured date, not initial release date. Their warranty does cover used/secondhand cards as well if you have it registered to yourself. I believe even when RMA'ing it lists that as an option. With the discontinuation of the 1080ti, who knows how that will be handled now.
  7. If it works, it works. Happy for ya
  8. Could just be your location or room. For instance, when I use my earbuds at my desk I get a static/popping background noise, but when I go to the restroom or if I go to my sister's desk (we work in the same building), I get no interference whatsoever.
  9. I do believe that is interference, have you tried using different ports or a different PC and seeing if that does anything?
  10. May I ask a semi un-related question here, why does Linus always have a sweater on? Are the offices kept a little chilly at the LMG building?
  11. The Uni I went to has free access to alumni so I just may go there and use their 3D printer and resources. Thanks for the suggestions. That is honestly pretty damn cool lol. I think I will try out the above linked mic arm and if it's not to my liking then I just may have to try this one out
  12. Title. I need a mic arm for my Blue Yeti and would like some suggestions if you guys have any. I do like hearing from people rather than just doing a Google search. I'd love it to be stable, so paying extra for stability is fine with me. As for a budget, umm. Don't really know right now, but I'd love some suggestions first and I'll take it from there. (obviously don't recommend those $300 mic arms) Thanks for any help!

On Amazon, it shows some spacers you can use to hold the GPU up if it does sag.

    DAC/Amp question

I say recording process as in audio feedback, my apologies for the confusion. As said before, I just purchased a Blue Yeti and filter so that will be my recording microphone for now. As for the headphones, I was looking at two, The Massdrop x Sennheiser HD6xx's or the AudioTechnica ATH M50x. I am unsure of which ones to get.

    DAC/Amp question

I wanted to receive feedback mostly via headphones. I've recently purchased a Blue Yeti microphone and Nylon pop filter, so XLR is out of the question for now. (I did not want to go balls to the wall and go all out on a quality XLR yet) I totally agree, I need to further my knowledge on this.

    DAC/Amp question

I feel like my motherboard is fine as of now, but I was hoping for any higher quality if possible. Sometimes my audio does seem a bit lower than what it could or should be. For reference, I'm using an EVGA Z370 FTW board.

    DAC/Amp question

Hey guys, I plan to begin recording some footage soon and I was just wondering if things like a DAC/Amp is worth getting at the lower price points. Will it help with audio feedback and the recording process at all? Price point on this is rather low since my knowledge is very limited. I'd like to stay below $50 until I get to know more about these, but I feel like a $50 is a decent starting/practice point. If you guys have any helpful, useful, or additional information, please post them.
  22. From myself: Karlby block with two black Alex drawers (I'm finishing it later today, so excited!) From family: I got $250 cash, Cooler Master LED Strip for my case, a 500GB SSD to replace my laptop's 5400RPM HDD, a G502 Spectrum, an XL mouse pad, couple of games like Skyrim. and a magnetic -flexi-bend screwdriver kit. Wife also has allowed me to buy myself some things since she wasn't feeling the Christmas feeling this year.
