    Any chance that board has a second pcie-slot? If so, you could try and see if it works on that one. Mining rig GPUs generally sounds like a bad thing though, gotta say...

    More then likely you got a GPU that was end of life, it gave you its best effort but its dead  Usually if cleaning, repasting, making sure all power connections are good dont work, its a rip.

    you're looking for a desktop motherboard for a FCPGA946 socket. 
    they exist. they're only on alibaba, from china, for pretty cheap. i wouldn't suggest it.
