I did mess the CPU unlock feature, it turns out it's for unlocking extra cores so I just disabled that but other than that I even tried the setting in voltages to stablize my voltage but it didn't help.. Maybe I'll double check them in the bios but they shouldn't be that far off, like how the 12V one isn't even close and same with like all the voltages.

And also.. All power saving settings are off

It's only happening during load

My FX 8350 has been showing huge voltage drops from around 1.5 to 1.0 which causes the clock speeds to drop to around 1 GHz. I have a Corsair GS700 PSU (700 watts) and I have a GTX Matrix 580 not overclocked and also about 5 hard drives and an ssd. I'm wondering if it's my motherboard doing this or not since my graphics card doesn't seem to be affected. I just noticed all this when I was doing some overclocking and testing. Mty dad has almost the same computewr but a 600watt corsair psu and a 990fxa-ud5 motherboard with a 650 ti. When I monitor his it also does the same thing so could it just be something toi do with my houses power? We're both using surge protectors and no other electronics show any signs similar and we've never had a power surge, failure or anything go wrong since its not a very old house. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

well I am in Canada and conveniently staying at a hotel near an NCIX but isnt the Shine 3 coming out soon? Maybe I should just pre-order that or wait for reviews! I was going for the K95 as a last resort since all those macros are useless to me! hahha

I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard that allows you to choose which keys get lit that also isn't over like $140. Something that is available in multiple colors if its not rgb colour adjustable and available in different cherry keys! I know there's some keyboards out there like this but I can't remember the name of them! :( Any help would be great! Thanks!!

990FX chipset with Ubuntu?
Shawn replied to Shawn's topic in Linux, macOS and Everything Not-Windows
It's like impossible to boot especially because none of my USB port work in Ubuntu so all I've got is my PS/2 keyboard. Anyway to disable the X server before booting so it hopefully doesn't crash? -
I have a Gigabyte 990FX-UD3 mobo and an AMD FX-8350 and I am trying to get Ubuntu 13.04 to run properly. It basically just freezes up and lags then shuts down. If I take my matrix 580 out and use my GT 520 it runs fine but the matrix 580 works on a different machine in Ubuntu 13.04 perfectly fine. I've tried Ubuntu 12.10 as well but no luck either! Burned new discs and all the obvious crap that you would expect. I am not very familiar with Linux so I suck with the terminal but i want my dual boot to work. And yes I've tried installing it by itself. :P I just have a feeling its the chipset as a I can't find any legit Ubuntu drivers for it. If anybody knows anything about the chipset drivers can they reply immediately, please? PS.. I didn't put this in Troubleshooting because I basically know what the problem is but don't know where to find the solution.

SilentCure - Custom Watercooled 650D (New camera pix)
Shawn replied to Jimstah87's topic in Build Logs
Thanks for so many pictures! :) The carbon fiber goes so well with the sabertooth motherboard.. It's amazing! Also.. How long do you think it took to water cool your system and how much money for the water cooling components? I'm thinking about doing it too. Thanks!- 132 replies
