  1. Just snap on 2x 120mm on the card and connect them to the board. Happy days.
  2. 1- New world does not damage cards, bad build cards are the issue 2- that really seems like a PSU issue , these cards need loads of power 3- run all without any OC even XPM just leave all stock 4- monitor temps with HWinfo
  3. 1 - dont run any RGB software 2 - No OCs and this includes RAM( only DOCP or XMP) 3 - Keep HWinfo on the background so you can monitor temps 4 - You can DDU the drivers but I dont think thats the issue
  4. People looking at the same cards... Options 6700xt, 6800, 3060ti and 3070 (this is around the same prices) 3060 is on the 6600xt grounds old cards to look for at 1080p r9 290,290x, 390, 390x 1080p low HD 7870, 7950, 7970 OFC all of these cards will play old games at max
  5. SImple as this YES now how it will work. if you have 4 ram slots you put the slow ram on the (1) slots and fast ram on the (2) slots this way the xpm or docp will have the slow ram stats and the fast ram will just go with it. You can try the other way around and see if the slow ram will go with it also.
  6. Hello, Im not a 3d artist or anything related, only tried some stuff here and there. Just as an example, if you run Unreal engine 5 and try to play a bit with it, it will use ram and loads of it, and with this also Vram. I have a 3900x, 48g ram, 6800xt, what I can recomend is go with 2x16g sticks and then upgrade to 64.
  7. Ok by steps 1 - that PSU is to low for a Vega 64 but you can try and use 2 cabbles from the PSU to the gpu (vegas use loads of power) 2 - if nothing like this works, take the card apart and clean it with wd40 for electric contacts, then try to boot it 3 - If its really dead you can try and get a place to fix it , sometimes its not expensive.
  8. How I love crap built GPUs burned in the morning. Now really the fault is not the game. Its a heavy game that is well optimized, you get 120fps on a 6800xt maxed at 1440p and the game looks good really good, gameplay is good. Now for AMD cards I do recomend to use CHILL, there is no reason not to use it . For Nvidia cards well just limit your fps of you think the temps are to much and the fans are at 100% In my case I have a 6800xt 60c normally on this game at 1440p If a card is at 350w + and going over that for example a 3090 OCP needs to trigger, maybe a warning on the drivers, hey OCP just trigger WARNING. Or your VRM or memory is getting to hot . Use HWINFO64 its helps loads controling themps and puting warnings , Memory, VRM and hotspot
  9. Hello, 1 - Check if there is a cabble in contact with a FAN 2 - If you are at 1080p with a 6700xt turn on chill and just put 60 to 75 fps (for new world) Normally coil whine only happens if you have like 300 fps + just limit our fps
  10. Looks at 6800xt and 3900x 6800xt never goes over 65c and the 3900x also around 60c To be fair, on new world I can see some spikes to 360w on the gpu, What people need to do on amd cards for example on this game is just turn on chill and set it for the range of your monitor I have mine from 60 to 144 hz. The game is really well optimized for the amount of people that it has and how it looks. I have 120 fps most of the time and on really populated cities is around 80 . In this day and age all cards need to have OCP and counters to a power virus , also if some areas of the cards are getting to hot it needs to shut down, for example vrm memory etc. If its burning more 3000 series then any other series its because there is a flaw somewere and its creating this issue. Now Im really carefull with the case and ventilation not to have hot spots and always keep the gpu fed with fresh air . Must of the people wont even care and that can lead to issues
  11. Any junk board will run the 1600, its a 65w cpu. But get something better so you can upgrade the cpu in the future.
  12. Dont use afterburner with amd cards with creates issues. Use more power tool or the amd software, Stock settings and start going lower on the voltage do this with heaven running on loop until you have a driver crash roll back just a bit of mv and it will be fine . The fans are temp sensentive you will still get same temps but at a lower W. Create a fan profile that will ramp the fans before the temp that you desire.
  13. 1 cable is for 150w . It can cause issues for some PSUs even really good and expensive ones. Use 2 if possible.
  14. ok lets go by steps because sometimes this brings issues. 1 - No ocs on bios just xmp or docp 2 - good psu 750w or more 3 - Use 2 8 pins from the psu not one cable 4 - Yes updated drivers (ddu bla bla) also chipset drivers if its a amd cpu ( this is really important) 5 - Stock driver settings only with freesinc on no limiters (for testing, dont turn on forced vsinc), if you want limiters on the fps turn on the fps limiter under gaming or use chill, I think chill is better dont use forced vsinc. 6 - background apps, turn off any rgb junk on windows start.
  15. 3900x is a bit of a hot cpu. it all depends on the background but even with a very good watercooling loop you can get 80c at a 100% load I run my 3900x on a waterloop with the EDC bug basicly EDC 1 and then scalar to 10x and max freq to 500mhz, I also have the clock gen to 101.5 and this brings the clocks on 6 cores to 4.7ghz+ Be aware this gets hot really hot.
  16. Its a 280x, keep the voltage under control, just dont mess with it and you will be fine. I always use Heaven running on the back gound and puting more clocks like 25mh at the time. if it halts for some reason just roll back 35mhz and it will be fine. Keep temperatures under control also, less then 80c will be ok
  17. Actually FSR can be activated with any gpu in game. You can actually test it out with the free demo of riftbreaker , give it a try. I have seen it working on any gpu that suports dx11
  18. Just go look at reviews and look at the best one on temps . The rest is relative. Its a 3090 will use loads of power and the fans will spin to keep it cooled . Also have a look at RMAs some brands are hell to work with.
  19. Did you try with no ocs? all stock? Also try this. download Heaven open and it will be in loop , if its with artifacts start lowering clocks with msi afterburner , start with the core then with memory. see if it solves something. You can also try to lower power target also and see if it improves something. ,
  20. RMA the card, also 750w is a bit on the low side, Use 2 cables from the PSU to the GPU. and try again.
  21. ok do this, take the card apart, Clean all of the card with contact cleaner, like loads use a tooth brush. Repaste etc, you can use MX4 Use 2 cables from the PSU. Go to GURU3d foruns and on the AMD side you have the latest drivers open to all cards. Good luck
  22. it is for what it offers if you look into a 90A and 14+1 vrm + 4*m.2s
  23. Just keep it a bit longer, with FSR on other games it will last a bit more time. Until the gpu crazy prices are gone. Just hold on.
  24. Just Get a B550 Unify, its on the top boards , cheap and good board.
