  1. Here me out on this, do a comparative review of the support software for both Nvidia and Radeon GPUs. As a life long Nvidia user I was surprised when I got my first ever Radeon GPU yesterday and the depth of the Radeon "Control Panel" was far deeper than I could have imagined. I was pleasantly surprised that opinion my years of use of one product was overturned by the user experience of the other. To some it might be a deciding factor to know what are the software tools that come with the hardware, a better user experience can overcome a deficiency raw power.
  2. Only $40 and Has room for most stuff, but it MIGHT require slight case modding depending on what you want to mount on the front. The selling point: 360mm Rad can be mounted in this budget case with no modding needed. https://www.amazon.com/ROSEWILL-Gaming-Computer-supports-pre-installed/dp/B01BITI11G/ref=sr_1_4?keywords=PC+case&qid=1550091384&refinements=p_89%3ARosewill&rnid=2528832011&s=gateway&sr=8-4
  3. Overall I think the launch FLOPPED. Between sending out bad drivers to reviewers, not prepping them on how to understand the new thermal readings, the XFX version getting sold early (and $100 cheaper), stock shortages, and general confusion about the entire launch made it one of the WORST product launches in a while from a publicity and logistics point of view. However, I did manage to buy one thanks to being signed up for email notifications as soon as they went live, and I personally am not too fussed about the price seeing as they throw in $180 worth of games. I make myself feel better saying the card was $520 and I just happened to be roped into buying $180 in games too. So in my own personal opinion the value isn't that bad, if you are getting the game bundle. What are some of your thoughts on the launch?
  4. How do we even enter? the official rules don't match up with what is actually presented, there is no clear way to enter once you are on the site, it doesn't explain anything, and the site seems extremely buggy. This one of the WORST giveaways ever in trying to actually know how to enter, even the Publisher Clearing House bullsheet isn't this bad. the rules say to follow the instructions on the site, WHAT DUCKING INSTRUCTIONS? WHERE? WHO THE DUCK DESIGNED THIS!? If I'm already entered it gave me no indication that I entered. Linus, did you even check what a dumpster fire the entry process was before making a vid? I love when you cover cool stuff, but this this was a letdown and a frustration sandwich.
  5. RE stand for Raid Edition, it's like a beefier RED with a longer life span and better performance, it can be a stand along drive and doesn't actually need to be in a raid despite it's name Personally I use several REs as my Steam and video Drives.
  6. If you are editing Video then a large capacity high-end HDD might be a better value. Videos will fill up a TB pretty fast. I recommend a Datacenter grade HDD like a WD Red or RE because they are meant for large and frequent writes like recording videos and encoding them. as for NVMe M.2 SSDs, in my opinion nothing can beat the value of a Mushkin Pilot https://www.amazon.com/Mushkin-PILOT-250GB-Internal-MKNSSDPL250GB-D8/dp/B07CYLKZMW/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1530196105&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=mushkin+pilot&psc=1
  7. Dear forum peeps or Linus' Employees, if you can help get this post into Linus' hands I know he'd be able to find a new found hope for his situation. I heard about your cat and I want to show you this video made by the local Animal control here about our dog. No joke, this is our dog and he had been missing for 8 years and was finally reunited with us after so long. Miracles can happen so you need to always believe it is possible your cat will come home.
  8. well it's just the case and the care reader that are ancient in my build, the insides are nice, it's a bit of a sleeper build.
  9. (I'm actually using this card reader in my current machine, it's still useful and I don't need anything else) (same with this case, it's a case I pulled from the junk pile at my friend's shop, so I got it for free. it's very similar to a certain case from scrapyard wars, just not as shiny)
  10. Here you go: https://www.amazon.com/Mushkin-PILOT-500GB-Internal-MKNSSDPL500GB-D8/dp/B07CYJ4GS3/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1529597421&sr=8-1&keywords=Mushkin+NVMe+SSD Can confirm they are legit, I bought one and am currently using it The 120 isn't cheaper than that other one but it IS PCIe Gen 3 x4 Edit: I also recommend this if you get one, it's a heatsink for them, if you have room for the mounting and back plate https://www.amazon.com/EKWB-EK-M-2-NVMe-Heatsink-Black/dp/B073RHHYCM/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1529597661&sr=1-3&keywords=NVMe+heatsink&dpID=41jleneWBgL&preST=_SY300_QL70_&dpSrc=srch
  11. Thanks for sharing this, I'll pass it on to the gaming news community that I moderate.
  12. Nothing, its just they said IF they ever went under (not like they ever will) they will remove all the DRM from your games first.
  13. I rather have a long lasting steam drive that will last in case valve went under. Since they said if they ever shutdown steam they'd unlock all your games beforehand
