  1. Not usually. 55C is actually the upper limit of an average estimate. Source: My loop has my GPU at 50C under load Anyways @Kodtys , cooler degradation can happen after variable periods of time, and is influenced by the cycling of temperatures etc. Might be just time to get a new one. As it is an issue that has procedurally been augmented, it safe to say it's not an issue with contact but degradation.
  2. This is actually bellow the lower limit of your budget but I think it would be a good fit https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-IPS-Type-GeForce-Gigabit-FX505DT-EB73/dp/B07QM4F25N/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=ryzen+laptop&qid=1571679044&sr=8-8
  3. TLDR It's pretty overkill. I'd probably lower the specs and just get a Raspberry Pi for hosting a server.
  4. This is just the basics of economics. There are no true solutions to this problems, as if they were, then the companies would be losing money. Your main. option is to just get a NAS or pay a monthly rate for Dropbox. If you go to school, see if they offer OneDrive or Google Drive accounts.
  5. TLDR Navi 21 Embedded won't be comparable to the horsepower of the 5700XT, also, consoles don't set the minimum for the industry IMHO.
  6. Bose QuietComforts or SoundLink Around-Ears are good. Sony's solutions are quite good as well.
  7. Game with the phone submerged in a bath of mineral oil.
  8. Would Adobe applications not benefit from GPU Hardware acceleration?
  9. If you stay AMD: You'd lose CPU PCIE bifurcation, which is important to some people. It's basically the ability to split PCIE slots. If you go Intel (on a similar B360 chipset): You'd lose CPU PCIE bifurcation, CPU overclocking and memory overclocking on some processor variants.
  10. It's most likely that the DIMM slots are damaged or the board is fried. RMA if it's retail, otherwise, you are out of luck.
  11. Alright. Would a 9900K perform better than a 3700X? Yes, but marginally. Would the performance of a better graphics card be better than a higher bandwidth? Yes, quite noticeably. I'd take your money and invest in a better GPU, not CPU or MB. You'll see more performance this way.
  12. The 2700X will absolutely not bottleneck the 2080S. That's ridiculous and untrue. What's the obsession with bottleneck here? Either way, the 2080S config will be much faster than the 5700XT setup. You do lose some functionality on the B450 board, but it should be fine for gaming and it is capable of supporting your config.
  13. You don't. You instead participate in a capitalist market by reaping the benefits of your labor in the way you choose. If you have no source of income, your computer isn't the concern.
  14. I've had my 7 Pro for a month or so and I've experienced no issues. It's a great phone.
  15. Yeah, I actually don't remember what I was thinking when I wrote that. I believe I was thinking the top of spectrum allowed in a BIOS and my mind defaulted to 180.
  16. Agreed, if only it wasn't for some driver incompatibilities.
  17. I feel we stray from the essence of this conversation, is the modification of voltages significant to OP for obtaining a modest overclock. I agree, this conversation, particularly my side, has lacked professional connotation and I apologize.
  18. Congratulations, you trivialized my incredibly valid statement out of angst in a single sentence, I salute you. I'm pretty concerned for that rig if you've been modifying voltages do significantly? Sure, higher voltages = higher TDP usually. But for OP, his focus should be on finding what works for him, an owner of a non-binned processor, unlike a 8086k.
  19. I meant modifying voltages. The Hyper 212 is a cooler suitable for modest overclocking. Significant modifications to voltages would most likely provide no significant difference with the cooler we are working with. Also, voltages don't define the TDP of a processor. Though they may contribute, it's rash to base how much heat something produces by the intensity of the current is received. My 9 volt battery (a voltage 7-8 times more drastic than that of what a CPU receives idle) hooked up to a light bulb doesn't noticeably heat up to 7-8 times that of a 95W TDP CPU at idle. For OP, modifications to voltages provide more risk than reward. You should be able to recognize that.
  20. Put the power limit the highest below 180W (the TDP of the Hyper 212, try the lowest power limit without stability issues). Overclocking isn't the same for everyone (silicon lottery) so try minimal increments (25 to 50 per iteration) and confirm stability with benchmarking. Don't worry about voltages.
  21. 1. Try reinstalling drivers 2. Try flashing BIOS, reset CMOS battery 3. Reinstall Windows 10 4. Admit defeat 5. Try graphics card in other system, if there is an issue RMA the card. If there isn't, it could be with a variety of factors, process of elimination will be your friend.
  22. if u can afford the 2700X get it. My current system has it and it runs beautifully.
  23. pst- don't listen to these guys Anyone can build a computer- anyone who says elsewhere typically belongs in r/gatekeeping I built my first computer completely off of a guide, and it works fine (or it did. my first build was a FX build with a GTX 480) Use pcpartpicker to check part compatibility, a watch a very, VERY thorough guide with all elements of assembly included If you need help with parts msg me!
