  1. Oh, okay. I must have misunderstood you at first. Well, you be wrong since we don't have a TV with HDMI ports on it on the house. But I can at least get a new DisplayPort cable & try it.
  2. I could, but the thing is that my pc is the only custom-built in the house, while my mom has an all-in-one pc meaning that it doesn't have the same selection of ports/IO, but that DID occur to me earlier.
  3. Hm, that's what I was thinking too. But I guess there's no easy way of determining if anything is wrong with the cable I currently have...?
  4. Hard to believe that my last post here was only a little more than a month ago, & yet it feels longer than that to me. Anyway, I feel like I can definitely use your help on this matter, guys cause I can only theorize/speculate. Without further ado, let's just jump right in. Okay, so, a little more than 2 years ago, I made a forum post/topic about the artifacting issue I was having on the gaming rig after I had to swap the motherboard as part of the troubleshooting process. [You can look at that post, but I stated a few things in correctly in it, but it will still give you a ballpark idea of what was going on then.] Anyway, I have an update on that: Just yesterday, I upgraded from the RTX 2070 SUPER that I had to a brand new RTX 4070 Ti "thinking" that the issue was related to the GPU itself. But after I got it in, booted up the rig & upgraded my driver via GeForce Experience, I still have that same issue! [Also, for anyone wondering, I DID use DDU to uninstall the old driver first. And, essentially, nothing about the setup has really changed aside from having a i7 10th Gen now, & being on Windows 11.] I looked at a few of my posts I made in the past related to this issue to refresh my memory before I made this one, but I've given the matter some thought & have a possible theory as to what could be going on. I would however, like your input on this just as confirmation though. Based on my experience that I've had with this so far over the last couple years, I'm thinking that the issue most likely is with the Displayport cable that I've had since the beginning. Because I visually inspected the 2070 SUPER, & upon a close but careful inspection, I'm not seeing ANY visual damage to the pins & there is nothing wrong with the IO on the card itself. Unfortunately, the Display port cable that I've been using which came with my monitor is the only 1 I've got, & I even went as far as to check the end that was plugged into the GPU & to my eyes, I didn't see any evidence that it was damaged or anything. But then again, I don't have any of the proper tools to evaluate that sort of thing anyway given that I've never had any background with IT, nor worked in like a tech repair shop or what have you. Still, I would like some opinions/thoughts/advice on the matter. Is there anyway I can check or validate for myself that the issue is with the cable, or just for the heck of it, should I purchase a new one, try it out, & see if that helps? In the meantime, though, I'm open to other suggestions & advice that you guys would have, but please, view & read that previous post I alluded to first! Also, for anyone wondering, I updated parts list & the pcpartpicker URL on my profile. Like always- if you guys need extra details or if you have any questions, just feel free to comment or message me & I will get back to you all 1 by 1. Anyway, thanks in advance to whomever can help!
  5. Well, guys, it's definitely been a while since I last made a post here, but I could use your help on this as it's a REAL challenge. Be sure to keep on reading for more details. So, this happens to be the gaming desk that I've been rocking for nearly the last 4 years & it has held up pretty good for the most part. --[This is the link to it, by the way for anyone interested. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T1XYD1H/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1 Do bear in mind that the version I have has a bit of a "hump" at the back hence it's odd shape, but it is technically also for the cable management tray as well.]-- However, one area where it hasn't quite held up as well is with regards to the included mousepad that came with the desk itself. It has lasted me pretty much since day 1, however, the issue I have with it is that part of the underside is kind sticking to the desk almost as if it's melting.] Now, my room is sort of on the smaller side, & the house itself is at least 100 years old, but due to it settling over the years, I'm pretty certain that there are some slight issues with my room being properly ventilated even though I keep my back door & the window shut, plus, the blinds pulled down most of the time. But then again, I have noticed now that the mousepad that they included with the desk is of "okay" quality, but obviously not the best by a longshot. And the issue I have now is simply trying to find the right-sized one that matches the dimensions of my desk. Now, I have already done a bit of searching on my own, but even as 1 reviewer has said regarding this desk, trying to find a replacement is as they put it, "a nightmare" & I totally see what they mean now. I have even consulted using Bard & Bing Chat, but I haven't exactly managed to find the right mousepad that I prefer which would serve as a suitable replacement. The first place I checked was the official merch site, but the store sadly enough does NOT have the right size & I even checked Amazon as well with no luck. I generally prefer to find something that would fit perfectly if I'm able to. If you check the dimensions which are listed under the Product Information, the Depth of the desk is 23.62" or 599.948mm, & the Width is 55.12" or 1400.048mm. You guys are probably wondering by now, though, what I prefer or look for in a mousepad. My requirements are nothing outrageous: I prefer a durable/high-quality cloth like material that is ideal for gaming, dimensions that match, & as for the artwork, I'll leave that up to me even though I'm not too fussy about that sort of thing, but as a person, I do have my preferences. With that being said, I am truly hoping that someone here can help me find the right one I'm looking for. If I accidentally left out any important details, or if you guys have ANY questions for me about this, just ask away & I will be sure to reply! So, thanks in advance everyone!
  6. Throughout all of this, what I'm really struggling to understand is: Is the issue with my Windows 11 USB installation media --assuming I screwed it up somehow despite following the guide to the letter,-- or is the issue actually hardware-related even though according to Samsung Magician & DiskGenius the drive is still healthy with no issues...? Man, either way, I need someone good & experienced enough to help me out since I haven't been able to make any sense of this problem so far. JUST PASS THE WORD ON & SHARE THIS POST, PEOPLE! I'd appreciate it!
  7. Well, don't get me wrong- I could do it, but there's kind of little point to do it when I have ran Windows 10 before in the past & it just worked. And I'm not saying Windows 11 doesn't work; it does & I LOVE it! But I just don't know if the issue is with the drive itself or me possibly screwing up my Windows 11 installation media when I created it... [Even though I followed the guide to the letter.]
  8. **BTW, I ought to mention for everyone that I have also posted about my issue [Mainly the link to the post itself.] in the official Discord server under tech-support. Hoping that might help for any of you who are active there.** For now, though, I'm still waiting...
  9. Okay, guess I shouldn't have to worry about it. But I refuse to believe the issue is hardware-related. Besides, I used this guide on how to create your Windows 11 installation media: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z5N-52JNIH4 And from what I can tell, it's a solid guide & I don't think I bunged up my Windows 11 installation media & even if I did, I don't see how. But just wanted to put that out there just as extra info & confirmation on my part.
  10. BTW, do you happen to know if the regular 970 Evo has had failure issues before or not? I was actually chatting with someone last night on the Microsoft Community Discord server & someone there did say that the 970 Evo is as he put it, "famous for failure", but I just want extra confirmation & if that's the case, maybe my drive has been slowly starting to go bad even though it's in good health...? And if what was said is true about the regular/OG 970 Evo, surely the 970 Evo Plus is a bit better & improved, right? Anyway, I appreciate the efforts nonetheless. Of course, if you know of anyone else whom you could pass this on to, I'd be grateful!
  11. Funny you mention trying Linux. I actually DID try completely migrating over to Linux [Specifically Zorin OS] a few weeks ago, but it didn't exactly go well & I'm not really like an expert on Linux anyway, so I chose to go back to Windows since it's just what I'm more used to as whole. Besides, even if I were to try it again [Don't get your hopes up on that.], I don't even know if anyone has gotten the EA app working on Linux through Wine or Lutris somehow or not. But I was using the EA app for my games & NOT Origin since it's buggy & EA/Origin hopes to migrate everyone over to the EA app since it's SO much better anyway. On the 2nd note, I DO have a Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB that I brought brand new for once the 970 Evo kicks the bucket. But, I really don't want to install a 2nd drive in my system & worry about any complications from that or setting up raid ,etc simply because I don't want or need a 2nd drive in my system. I also ran Intel's Processor Diagnostic Tool even though the CPU isn't the factor here, & it passed ALL the tests with flying colors! But yeah, I AM open to any other suggestions you have, but TBH, I don't want to go back to Windows 10 since I've really grown to like Windows 11...
