Hello my fellow gamers. Pondering what to do. After recent fortnite season 4 update the game has been troublesome. some advice told me to update my drivers for the graphics which i did. I ran the game and noticed a triple in fps to almost 60. however at times the graphics would go terrible and make horrid flashes over the screen (this is a link to my fb post about it) https://www.facebook.com/100002453336321/videos/1117748485541714/ later i found that that grapics driver update disabled the dgpu and the game ran on the hd4000 igpu. i later rolled back the driver and the game ran at 20 fps. during this debacle i found the dgpu has 1gig of vram while the igpu has 2. I would love to run at 60fps but cant deal with the flashes makes the game unplayble and then when the dgpu is active no flashes but 20 fps So now the qeustion is what can i do, ram upgrade?

Need some help here please. My touch screen is doing this freaky bs since yesterday afternoon. When i do a single finger touch it makes these other touch points up and down that same line and they are not static they change constantly when i leave my finger on the screen. I do not know what could have done this? Maybe Windows update? but doubt that, could t be something more serious don't know of any virus that can do this (kinda silly), or is it driver or even worse hardware related. the laptop has fallen twice and there are some dings and bangs here and there but that was months ago and has been working fine till about 3 this afternoon. and used the touch all morning and worked fine. On FB they said calibrate the screen but that doesn't work because of the extra touch detections, so what now. Thanks for any help. Vincent

Well my pc has only 400 GB and my laptop and other USB HDD is almost full, But I am mostly after the Series and some Movies. which is about that. Things that I downloaded that I can't get back. Maybe should rather get a secondhand HDD from cash crusaders or something. AND i can only read it on my Laptop. The desktop does not "see" it.

Hey I have a Toshiba drive here, a entire TB. Been following the instructions on the left to get the disk to read again in windows but as i follow it in cmd after i ask for a primary partition it works for maybe 30 to 45 secs and the drive disconects. BTW its a USB HDD. It does not show up in This PC. It used to have almost 900GB of data on it but have given up any hope of getting it back just want the thing to work again, getting the data back would be a fantastic bonus. In disk management it looks like this Had it in my Desktop inside the case not via usb (via Sata) and not much happened could not even get it in cmd. Thanks

Will maar have to go for a complete breakdown. Yes twice coffee spilt on the machine (lost 2 USB ports) on RHS. Clean everything out. Its a Lenovo YOGA 310 anything I should look out for and be weary of? So you think there won't be any in the screen area? Thanks

Well now thus us rather weird. The last few days I saw something not to uncommon some ants running about where I work. But today while working in the car and closing my laptop, i found a whole troop of black ants under my laptop. They were small black ants. And they were coming from within the laptop. Should I be worried? Could they be eating the innards of my laptop out? Should I be cracking it open to see what horror lies within?

Hey Sorry for the super late reply didm't check the forum and have been having internet problems lately. But anyway. The best I could find on Marketplace was a Dell with a I5 of some flavour and radeon 2Gig graphics second hand. for about R4500. Thats about USD312.00.It was sold but looking for aomething similar only problem is I can only buy in a few months time when I get payed out. Been looking at the Cyberpower https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Fangbook-4-KLX7-Gaming-Laptop and you won't let it go for about $350 anyways. since its over a thousand. Yours is probablty not a 2019 model but its still a high spec model my dream laptop this is. Anyway looking for something with dedicated graphics and 15.6 inch or up screen hdd of course upgradeble ram to about 12 or 16 gigs if not already there. But haven't found anything really there. Been looking on mostly looking at marketplace, olx, junkmail and gumtree. Thanks though.

Well go to google type: evetech, wootware, pc express and pc link shop. But the thing is I have looked and those are all on the expensive side. and I don't really want new they will be second hand I found this in market place: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/355612621728964/ and it looks pretty good. I want one with a dedicated grahpcs better than the integrated. about R3000 would be a good place to be. No weight or bat life as such since i am 80% of the time at a plug and not really to much worried about weight. Main apps would be, Chief architect x11, autocad, revit and such. main games would be GTA 4 and 5, cs, crysis, gran tourismo, wwz and such mainly car and fps games and some tycoon games like coaster tycoon. I don't need 8K resolution at 500fps. playable would be fine at a reasonable resolution. Thanks for any help.

Good day guys Here again asking for something on a tight budget. I want a old laptop with a GPU for under $750.00. Doesn't need to be new at all and it sure as f$ck won't be at that price. IF at all possible just some name recommendations on what i can have. Going to buy locally here in South Africa but hope I can get something. will of course upgrade where possible if possible with ram and SSD. But a reasonable GPU would be awesome. Thanks Vincent

But the problem here is that the monitor could have two other spots except for the location at the PC so a cable wood be a bit dificult since i will move this at any time of day and want to do it as easy as possible. kinda like a laptop. but i can't upgrade my laptop cause can't afford that right now. Mostly open air area as I said only a bookcase may be in the way. but otherwise no walls or anything.

I have actually watched that exact video just before posting. And yes its over an open air area. Maybe a high bookshelf in the way but now walls brick or otherwise.

Good day. In the (hopefully) not to distant future i plan to upgrade my basic PC with I mind blowing GT710. On the back of that beast will be HDMI port. (a similar build to the $69 gaming PC) Now the main thing is i want to go fully wireless on one of the monitors attached to that PC. one will be stationary at the desk. The other will be a monitor which will be sometime at the desk and sometime close to the bed for late night gaming sessions. What i want to do is be able to work at the pc during the day and at night sit at the tv or bed and play games or work there. all wireless (except for the monitor power cord). All the peripherals will be wireless mouse keyboard and headphones. I want to transmit signal over wireless HDMI to the monitor over a distance of about 6 or 7 meters. Now the question is, Is this possible? A wireless display and peripherals for gaming and other tasks. Most likely games GTA 4, crysis, Saints Row and various other open world, racing and first person shooter games. Also what HDMI transmitter should i use for best bang for the buck? I have a old laptop (Toshiba C660-2D8) and I want to upgrade it. As far as i konw there is no dGPU but next to the CPU socket there is another "something". What is that? its also under part of the block and connected with heat-pipe to the fan. Basically need to know what CPUs I can have already have RAM to 8GB and a HDD or SSD. Trouble is most (all) things would possibly be off local 2nd hand stores (have a good one in town). Thanks for any help.
