    What BIOS/UFEI version were/are you running during these benchmarks?

    Update: BIOS 306 is locked and not possible to adjust voltage. Currently using Ryzen Controller again but still experiencing throttling but less often. Will continue to troubleshoot with different BIOS versions and update.

    CPU throttling in latest BIOS 306 17/03/2021. Setting profile to silent underclocks the CPU, resulting in no CPU throttling due to temps. However, the issue is the performance takes a huge hit. I believe manually undervolting the CPU in the BIOS will resolve the issue and allow you to keep the performance, but yet to try this out, will update tomorrow.

    yeah that's true, the customer should never experience these types of issues. What's the most demanding game you play that has drops? - I think I'll install it and give it a test.

    At least it's playable now though. Have you removed the air vent covers yet?

    Interesting, how many hours of gaming did you do? I've not experienced this myself yet.

    No worries, bro. I will gather a full list of the system spec, including drivers, relevant programs ect. Hopefully it's a case of proccess of elimination to determine the root of the issue.

    Glad to hear it's made a difference. Is the game freezing at all now? CPU: Are you using software to enable the Turbo Mode or BIOS?

    I've not experienced this, but I will perform some tests after work and let you know the results.

    I suggest the following: 1. Perform a full clean of the inside of your case Dust can gather/block in the heat sinks, fans and vents if left to settle over time, causing no airflow which leads to overheating and then performance issues. If however, you already done the above then I suggest the following. 1. Backup your important files 2. Perform a Clean windows installation

    It's just odd that's all, you'd think something that important would be mentioned at least somewhere on their site. But anyway, thanks @Bobbydigital for the BIOS bro.

    Can you try the following? 1. Remove GPU - test boot 2. Remove 1 stick of RAM - test boot Does the system make any beep noises for indication of an error code? Is it also possible, that during the process of the build the CPU fan got legitimately damaged?

    Does the application go into a unresponsive state? Also, have you experienced any other performance issues with any other games or in general use of the system?

    I suggest running a full virus scan on your system. 1. When did you first start to notice the performance issues? 2. Do you have System Restore enabled on your PC? p.s Welcome to the forums!

    Glad to hear it's resolved the issue for you. I wonder why ASUS just wouldn't upload the BIOS update onto their support portal?

    So, I've go ahead and installed the BIOS version 300, as supplied in the link from @Bobbydigital. Please see a screenshot of the update installed. I will test this out for CPU drops. UPDATE BIOS 300 seems to have done the trick so far. Will continue to monitor the performance. Currently playing Apex Legends and not had any drops.

    Did you flash your BIOS via USB and transfering the RAW file or via WinFlash?

    I've also been searching but can't find any reference. Why wouldn't ASUS just release the BIOS update on their driver page?

    I started experiencing drops today after I thought it was stable. I might apply this bios update. Can you link me to the Discord chat, please?
