  1. That was my thought process, I think I'm going to order the components in the following days
  2. What would you suggest? Thanks, I just added the noctua to check compatibility, I already have it in my current system. Do you have any other suggestions?
  3. Budget (including currency): ~2000€ Country: Italy Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming primarily, probably some streaming too Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hi everyone, I haven't paid attention to the latest and greatest and I'm going to need your help on this one I'm upgrading from the build in my signature that has been upgraded over the years. I'm mostly CPU limited in multiplayer games (such as Fortnite, cod) and GPU limited in single-player ones. I've been playing Ghostwire Tokio lately, averaging 80ish to 120ish fps on 2k with everything cranked to the bare minimum. I'm looking to play at 4k@144hz but it doesn't have to be at max settings. I'm willing to sacrifice some graphical fidelity for smoothness. I would like to salvage everything I can from my existing system. Case, cooler, storage, and hopefully psu even tho I assume 650w isn't going to cut it. I think I will be going amd with this one since I can upgrade the CPU later in the future if it doesn't fit my needs anymore. Motherboard: Literally no clue. I would like to have some fun with overclocking/undervolting, but nothing to extreme. I don't have any fancy needs, besides some solid vrm. A good b650 should be fine, but which one? CPU: 7600x? 7700? GPU: I probably need at least 12gb of vram, maybe 16? The nvenc encoder is a nice plus, but it's not a deal breaker for me. I'm open to considering even Intel if it makes sense in my build. I don't have any preference on board partners either (besides the gigabyte debacle), I'm not aware of any flaws with specific graphics cards STORAGE: I really want to try an nvme drive finally. Doesn't have to be anything fancy RAM: Right now I have 32gb and it's plenty for what I'm doing. 2x16 should be the right choice, since going any lower would feel like a downgrade for me CASE: I would like to use my define r5, I don't see any clearance issues. PSU: Depends on the gpu I think. With a 4080 and a 7600 I should barely fit it. COOLER: the nh-d15 should be ok. I have the am4 version tho, do I need to buy an am5 mounting kit? I was thinking of something like this: https://it.pcpartpicker.com/list/BzcJsL What do you think? Thanks in advance for your feedback
  4. Don't know if this has been posted yet https://www.nytimes.com/2021/12/03/world/italy-vaccine-fake-arm.html This is getting wild lol
  5. Yesterday I got my second dose of the vaccine. I had the option to choose between Moderna and AstraZeneca, I've decided to go for the latter since it's the one I started with, just to be on the safe side. Never cared too much about which one to do, I'm in my 20s and I don't have any major conditions besides some minor allergies. I figured "if it's being distributed it has to be good enough not to kill me" lol Plus, as @tikker said, any protection is better than none. We'll all be getting another dose in 9 months anyway. So I just did what was available at the time. I did the first dose on the 30th of May, man was it brutal. After about 12h since the injection, I started to feel some side effects like headaches and fever (probably the worst I had in my life) but I could still move my arm just fine. Luckily for me, it all started near bedtime, so I decided to just sleep over it. The following morning I just had a minor fever that eventually went away in an hour or so. So far the second dose has been great, with no side effect after 30 hours since the injection. Arm hurts a little, but nothing that prevents me from moving it freely. There are still lots of misconceptions regarding the vaccine. I have colleagues in the 30s-40s range that still don't have the first dose because they're "waiting". I don't know exactly for what, but they sure are waiting
  6. @Rem0o After updating to v88, all my fan curves are gone. If I check the userConfig.json they are still there, so it's not a big of a deal to make new ones. Is it a known behavior or is it a bug? If it's a bug, where would you like me to upload the logfile? Edit: reverting to version 87 brings the profiles back
  7. Was really busy with work and missed the event Hope I can join the next one
  8. Just tried playing Yakuza kiwami while folding. It works @60+ fps. My life is complete now. Nice! I can probably shave a couple more degrees by using noctua fans and applying some thermal pads between the backplate and the back of the card. I already flashed a modded bios to try some serious oc (I applied new thermal paste a couple of months ago. I was hitting the low 90s before, dropped to the low 80s afterwards)
  9. That's what I ended up doing lol. Grabbed 2 bequiet 120mm fans I had laying around, zip-tied those bad boys and not only the card got quieter, also the die temp dropped about 15c. This mod should be done out of the box if you ask me
  10. Signed up! Won't be able to fold 24/7, but I'll do what I can
  11. The exact same thing is happening here...
  12. I agree, at least in the beginning. Eventually everyone should be vaccinated tho
  13. This might change in the future, since consoles are more similar to RX cards. We'll have to wait and see.
