  1. Those are ePBT Coolkids or a clone of the same set. Will agree on the board, that looks like a GMMK Pro.
  2. That is a sound argument until you have to power all those EV's. Current large cities can't even maintain the power grid now when it is too hot or too cold outside. How are they going go manage an all EV populous? Furthermore, what are you going to do about all the lower income people? Do you expect all of those people to just up and buy a brand new EV when they are barely scrapping by to begin with? Or what about all the people who live in an apartment complex? They don't have the opportunity to charge at home. And that doesn't take into account the fact that charging stations are not everywhere. Out in the western US you can easily drive 500 miles in a day to some super remote places. What are you going to do when you are in the middle of the rockies on a dirt road 200 miles from home and have to recharge to get back? An all EV populous sounds great in theory, but doesn't work all that well in practice at the moment.
  3. Yes, and have for a while. I pre-ordered their original X10 mouse back when it launched and used it up until the beginning of last year when it finally died. Still have the free mousepad that came with it.
  4. Op, sorry about that! Maybe something like this or similar could work? Could just use which ever half of the board you wanted, and could slap some blank caps on there. 5. NK65e, KBD67Lite, Rama Kara, or Bauer Lite. Whichever you can get first. NK65e is plate mount stabs, the rest are PCB mount. Rama Kara is HHKB layout while the rest are 65%. Not sure when the next drop of NK65e's will be but should be soon. Rama Kara and KBD67 Lite supposedly ships Q1 202. Bauer Lite has no set date for a buy. If you need something now the Drop or GMMK boards are not terrible but all of the boards linked below are better, and cheaper. Just note, that they are both north facing switches so you might run into keycap compatibility issues compared to a board that uses south facing switches. NK65e: https://novelkeys.xyz/collections/keyboards/products/nk65-entry-edition KBD67 Lite: https://kbdfans.com/products/kbd67lite Rama Kara: https://ramaworks.store/products/kara Looks like the D60 is also in stock on KBD right now, but not sure what your budget is. Although, since you are using HP's I would assume it is somewhat decent. If that doesn't work, any try mount 60% with a DZ60 PCB and universal plate will be fine. And should be under $150 shipped. Would just need to add switches and caps. 6. That is what I am waiting for as well. Hoping to pick up a 5900x or preferably a 5950x this year.
  7. You must have never used a custom board with lubed and filmed switches. Go build a custom board with your choice of switch see if it changes your opinion. There is legitimately no risk either as you can just sell the board for a profit if you don't like it.
  8. I get that, nice rig man. Hope you enjoy it
  9. Nice build, can't believe you have had a second $1200+ GPU just sitting around for months. Glad to see if is is finally getting put to use. If you don't mind me asking, what is your use case for this build? I am assuming you do some type of 3d modeling or video editing.
  10. Do you have a microcenter near you? If so, you can save some money on the CPU there. Last I checked the 3950x was $699 at my local microcenter.
  11. No idea where you live. But where I live, anything in the $1000-$1500 price range is going to be a 20-30 year old pile of junk with body damage, rust, >200k miles, and going to cost more to keep it running than the car is worth. Still won't disagree that phone prices have gotten absurd though. I thought the same thing, you can pry my wired headphones out of my cold dead hands. Then I got a pair of Airpod Pro's to try out the hype. I won't be moving back to wired headphones for anything but my desktop any time soon.
  12. I would buy an unlocked i3, even a 4c/4t one, for the ladies machine if they would lower the price on them. Currently an 8350k is $15 USD less than a 9600k on amazon, and you can buy a 9350k on amazon or newegg. Whats the incentive to buy a 4c4t i3 when for the same price I can get a 6c12t Ryzen cpu that is faster. If they pushed the prices for the unlocked i3 down to sub $100 I would probably pick one up. But that is just a pipe dream at this point.
  13. Bouncing off this you should also see if there is anyway to run multiple instances of what ever script/program you are running. The single core performance between the two isn't very much. But if you can run multiple instances of your script/program at once the 3900x is going to edge out due to having additional cores meaning more instances of your script/program running at one time.
  14. Cables look nice, and being able to form them would help with cable management a ton. Is there anyway that you could sleeve them after they are formed though so that they look cleaner? The electrical tape looks somewhat janky IMO
  15. The GT3RS is much faster around a track, holds its value much better, and is probably going to be more reliable.
