Go watch some youtube videos and twitch streams
Watch a few beginner's tutorials, then start watching the pros. Try to mimic their actions/builds as much as possible when you start to play.

My vote as said above PSU.
I would also use DDU to remove / reinstall drivers, just to rule that out.

How old is the house you're in, by chance? Might it have been wired improperly? I'm not an electrician but the fact that plugging your PSU in elsewhere makes your system run better is a sign you need to call up someone who knows what they're doing to see what's up with that.
Yes, the Masterwatt Lite is not a great PSU but I don't think that's really the problem. That said, if you want a better PSU then something like a TX550M for 42 after a discount (damn that's a good deal!)
